First time going to a Lidl supermarket. I have to admit I was impressed. The place was very clean and organized. They have a good variety of items. Their bakery was nice and big as you walked in. They have a decent variety of imported cheeses. Their prices are competitive with Aldi, but the place seemed a little bigger. As with Aldi, be prepared to bring your own bag, or you will need to carry everything out by hand. The customer service at the register was good as well.

This was my first time shopping here. Parking was easy, the store is clean and well organized. Many great items to choose from, at competitive pricing. Employees are friendly and helpful, check out is easy. Lidl has a phone app, that can be scanned for additional savings. Overall a great shopping experience.

I have only been twice although I live down the highway,however,I’ve never had any problems with cashiers,products or service. The prices are reasonable,I would compare them to Aldi with better quality of everything

Absolutely love this place! Great selection of plants for gardening and at awesome prices. I prefer this store over Aldi even though it is definitely understaffed and you can tell that the employees are struggling to keep up . It is a shame lidl doesn’t care about employees well-being.

Like Aldi's, they have many items that are a good buy for your buck. They have an in store bakery, and if you get the apple turnovers when they are still warm ... you are hooked. They also have a chocolate covered ice cream bar that's 10x better than the leading brand name ice cream bar that starts with a D and is also the name of a bird.

New, big & super clean. Went for a big deal. Overalls $19.99, traveled from Milton, De to obtain these Overalls for the husband! I'm happy, he is happy! Fact.....

Dover did NOT need another Aldi like grocery/supermarket. It needs a TRADER JOE'S. Self check out machines are in the back of the store. Staff's weren't friendly on the day I visited. Prices seemed okay. Quality of the products sold not sure. I didn't shop much items.

The first day was chaotic. The parking lot was full and it was difficult getting anywhere in the store because the aisles weren’t large enough. Hopefully that will all die down once the new car smell wears off. It’s different from Aldi in that you don’t need quarters to get your shopping cart. We saw two carts discarded in the parking lot, one just 30 feet from a return station 🤨There’s a nice bakery at the entrance and organic produce. They were handing out free reusable grocery bags the first day. There were also people bagging your groceries, maybe to help keep the wait down in line. A gentleman I spoke with says they won’t bag all the time.

Good stuff here. Everything for budget shoppers to finicky organic shoppers. Another German based shopping market in Dover. This discount grocery store uses good business sense to bring great prices to the customer.There is a good overall selection of products here. Just think if "Aldi" had a bigger brother that didn't need quarters for grocery carts than you would be at Lidl (pronounced Lē-dil).Every month they have theme weeks where they honor a nations cuisine or up an coming popular holiday. This adds new products to the store for greater variety.The biggest standout is the BAKERY with genuine French bakery ingredients and processes at AWESOME prices. Also, you can slice your own bread loaves thick, regular, or thin. See the posted photos.

Went to check out on 12/18/23 and there were no checkout lanes open. First they take out self checkout and now they don't even have the staff to keep 1 register open. You have to hunt down an employee to checkout!

Took me a bit but I finally shopped here. Feels like a discount store. I do like their selection of vegetables. However I can not do all my shopping here because they do not carry a huge selection of food. This store is on my list as good food stores to shop.UPDATE: They have removed the self checkout. Which means that you must use the cashiers to checkout. Very inconvenient. Also too crowded. I will not be going back as often.UPDATE: It would seem I am still going even without self checkout. I like the value I get.

Great place to shop with different varieties form food to hardware. Noted that they are slightly pricey on some goods however you can get almost anything here. I love the snacks section and I go here for organic eggs. They have suprises every week so checkout the weekly advert online or in the mail.

This store is so well stocked the selection of such delicious & healthy options of foods bakery is unbelievable & scrumptious The only problem is they need more registers open at times & more workers otherwise top notch

I'm new to this store, but have found some unusual items at good prices. Produce is generally way less than at most groceries. Mostly in house brands, but they do a good job at it.Downside is only one checker, and you bag in your own bags or pay for paper bags.

I enjoy the suspiciously low prices at LIDI && I dislike the fact that their hand sanitizing station never has sanitizer stocked in it. BOTH STATION ARE ALWAYS OUT! the trash bins bags are either not placed right side in..so you have to open the bag and place used items inside..OR are always overfilled with trash. THEN inside they usually only have one line open w cashier.,the line back ups are like the one Walmart are famous for. && Lastly in the self checkout you can't use cash or food benefits options which seems counterproductive!

This review below was a year ago, since then the store has stated to carry very little organic foods and just stopped the organic breads in the bakery. I will be shopping elsewhere..I like the store for certain items. It is limited on brands and variety, but the things I do shop for such as organic fruits, veggies ,daves killer bread, organic pasta , banza pasta and some other items are reasonably priced compared to other stores , especially safeway. Employees are pleasant and helpful.

One stop shopping for all your needs. When they first opened.I was able to buy some fresh croissants and 2 1/2 ft concrete drill bits to drill into my driveway. Beat that Walmart!

I shop at the Lidl in Glenmont Md.I love the bakery and the produce department. The Italiamo brand is very good.The Rastelli meat brand is awful and the checkout line is always too long.

Lidl is one of the family of Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord owners of Trader Joe’s. What’s interesting is the philosophy is different in each of the business’s. All of the companies provide low prices without sacrificing quality! Each is unique in their own way! All are clean, bright and well laid out. The service is great though a little sparse as most employees multitask from stocking shelves, running the registers to cleaning the floors. One thing I like is have never heard an employee grumble or get upset with a customer. Some of the products are not available elsewhere and are unique to the companies. While the products are the companies store brands they are in some cases better than the name brands. The staples are much less expensive and the fresh vegetables and fruits always look and taste great. Yes, I check out businesses before I shop for ethics in how they treat their employees to their political support.
