2 stars because they sell FAKE “Crab Dip!”I even asked if it was real crab meat & I was told yes! Well we got it home & found fake crab meat! Not cool!!! The label was deceiving and so was the staff! Don’t label fake fish as crab & deceive your customers!It wasn’t worth my time to drive back for such a small quantity of dip, but I hope to save future customers from the scam! Label it what it is! “Imitation crab dip!”

I have always loved buying Meat here. But this last sirloin steak was the worst piece of meat I have ever bought from them. It was grizzly and extremely tough never bought a piece like that before.

I have known about this butcher shop for as long as I can remember. It has always been my favorite place to go when I visit up north. I love how there are different levels of spice of scrapple you can get and everything is fresh. The cheese is also amazing! Everyone there has a nice personality and some of the most welcoming smiling faces around. Besides having only cheese, fresh cuts of meat, and scrapple, they also have some eggs and drinks in the coolers. The signs around the inside of the shop are funny and bring a home like feel to the shop and that's what everyone is there... A family. Anyway I'm ending this here, but figured if you're reading reviews trying to determine if you would like to visit here, I'd say do it. You'll enjoy the products and the people... ¡Adiós amigos! Best local prime rib I've ever had. Put on the smoker for 6.5 hrs. Came out perfect. Nice fat/meat proportion. Will start buying my beef and other meats from here. Food lion and BJs can't touch them.

First visit. Was pleasantly surprised at the selection of meat. I was looking for 2 filets about 2” thick. None were in the case but the woman taking care of me said we she would go back and cut some for me. Wow! Most tender steaks ever. No need for a steak knife. Table knife or fork went right through the steak. So happy we found this hidden gem and will be back for sure!

I've been buying meat from these guys for a few years now, the people are great and you can't find better cuts anywhere around here. I cooked My first pig ever this weekend from their shop, they butterflied it for me and it turned out perfect! Thank you for the great service all the time.

Made the "mistake" of taking my Hot Scrapple on a visit to NJ.. everyone loved it! Back today for more. Was told not to visit without it. 😅Whatever you you want/need, they have it. Fresh, clean, friendly atmosphere, quality at just the right price.

Amazing store. Store customer service is great. First time there. The bacon was the best we have ever eaten in our lives. I will never eat any other bacon than his. We had homemade sausage also. Hardly any fat and no grissel. Perfect seasoning and smoke. Will never go to any other butcher shop. I can't wait to go back to try the beef and hams.

I live in NYC, a scrappel desert. No one here sells it. It's impossible to find. So I drive down to lower slower Delaware just to buy it. I say I'm driving down to visit my Aunt who lives nearby, but it's really for the Dagsboro scrappel. Also, the folks behind the counter are lovely people.

There was a BBQ vender outside of the butcher shop, the food from the BBQ was so excellent couldn't believe what I was tasting. I bought 2 racks of ribs,baked beans & mac & cheese.The food was great !!!!! Also had very good conversation with customers while I waited for my order. The atmosphere was perfect..

This place is great! Exactly like your local butcher shop from back in the day. They have so much to choose from and everything we've ever bought from them is fresh and very reasonably priced for quality meats. It's not like the grocery store where meat is pre-packaged and you take what they have. You choose what ever cut you want....steaks, pork chops, roasts and bacon can be cut to what ever you prefer. The customer service is outstanding, it's family owned and they're the only ones that I know of in this area. Can't say enough good things about the Family Butcher Shop!

Best scrapple and breakfast sausage I've ever eaten. The italian and old bay sausage is tops. Beef is good too. Gotten some nice brisket and tri tip. Prices are good. The owner is there often and he is a character. He's friendly and knowledgeable. He loves to interact with anyone beyond just what you're getting. Get there early cuz they run out of stuff. This place is no secret.

The saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover” certainly holds true here. I have shopped here on several occasions and always greeted with upmost curtesy and prompt service. The meat products are by far the best cuts in the area. There are those who may feel the prices are high, well you get what you pay for! As of today everything I’ve purchased has been delicious and tender! Can’t wait to order my fresh turkey for Thanksgiving!!!

The meat is a MUCH higher Quality than you find in your grocery store, and at a CHEAPER Cost! I couldn't believe 2 fat hamburger patties cost me $2.23! It seems like every week I am telling Everyone I work with and all my friends about the GREAT DEALS that I get! Very Very excited about finding Such Good Quality Meat at no extra cost!!!

My go-to place for scrapple and sausage. They make their own and it's the best in Delaware. Before I retired I had 6 people at work hooked on it and would take orders before I left Dover. They are on my way to Fenwick, so it's snowing easy stop over.

Great selection of fresh meat and chicken. I love their breakfast sausage, I buy it loose and make patties and they have two sizes of links.
