This place has gotten substantially better. Staff is helpful and friendly. It has also stepped up in cleaning the store. Still a bit cluttered, but it is way better than a few months ago. Went on a Sunday, and even though there was a good number of customers, the checkout was very quick because they added people as soon as they were able.

They are never open on time NEVER its 8:41am they are supposed to open at 8am I waited thinking that in the wait they would be open stay away from Dollar General East Main Street Columbus Ohio

This is thee cleanest, most organized Dollar General I have ever been to! And I have been to many... Texas, California, Connecticut & New York! The staff is highly professional, kind, upbeat, helpful and very pleasant. I always find everything I am looking for. Five +++ STARS ALL THE WAY!!!Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews because they’re all written by people who work at other Dollar Stores or Dollar General Stores nearby. These are jealous haters who simply post one or two star reviews as means to draw buyers away from this location with the hope that they’ll take this store's business to them. Pathetic losers need to get a life!

Always waiting forever for an employee to appear. Anyone can easily steal and no one would know. Waited 5 minutes in an empty line with no one helping the customers, so I left a basket full of stuff and left. Going to the other dollar general and saving myself from the headache I always get when I go to this location. It is always a mess and smells bad in here. Where are the employees???

I am so grateful for the Dollar General in our neighborhood. The ladies that work there, along with the manager (male) are helpful and personable in a professional manner. The store is always clean and organized.

The dollar store is the dollar store but the girl working the Sunday after Christmas was awesome. Made sure I had everything needed, was patient while I went over my order, and I ended up staying a few minutes to continue to chat with her because she was so friendly and relatable. I dont remember her name but we discussed the perils of children and slime as I bought gifts for the kids.

Horrible experience here. The cashier wasn't nice and made it seem like I was a bother. Do not work customer service if you cannot be nice to people. Latisha seemed very annoyed by me and as a customer it hurts me. Scott, the general manager was ok. Every time I go in no one EVER seems like they want to help. I bet if the district manager was there, things would change up. Maybe employees need more training on what it really means to work in customer service. If it wasn't for customers, there would be no jobs.

I save money on a lot of items here, and I also save time and gas driving here because this store is near my house. Some name brand items are even cheaper here than walmart or any other store but you have to know your prices, make sure you know the price of the item before you go then see if it is comparable or better pricing here. Employees are also very nice and helpful here. 👍🏻

I’m giving 2 stars because during this Covid19 pandemic this Dollar General Store has those hard to find items in stock.The reason I’m writing this review is because today I did my usual biweekly shopping hunt for necessities. While at this Dollar General Store this trip the cashier was not very pleasant & quite punitive. While shopping the gentleman stocking in the aisle told me I can find sanitizer, disinfectant spray & disinfecting wipes behind the register counter at checkout. When I asked if there were any of these products behind the register counter the cashier looked me up & down then passively said I don’t have sanitizer, I do have wipes & spray. I said ok that’s great. Before I can ask her to give me one of each she then starts telling me the price of each. I then told her the price wasn’t my concern. I was just happy you have both - May I have one of each. At this point she says I can only choose either the container of wipes or the can of spray. She continued on saying she was there all day open to close & won’t sell me the latter should I come back to make the purchase. I asked her if she thought her responses were punitive & I only need one. She replied that the spray was her last one & the Cooperate Dollar General Office wont let her sell me the one disinfectant spray.So to the cooperate office, don’t you think it’s hard enough dealing with this pandemic & trying to stay safe & healthy is a challenge on its own to then be told you cannot buy the one item you need?? I ask, how about you tell the stores to go ahead & sell one item of each product they may need. I understand controlling the sell of purchases that are in large quantities. Simply allowing one item purchase doesn’t render fair to the person trying to buy what they need within reason.

Clean and stocked but the line to cash out is way to slow to cash out. You have a line down the side and only only cashier ???? Come on. Get ur line down. They are waiting to give you money but we have to wait 20 to 30 minutes smh. Get more cashiers or call for help from the other employees

Customer Service First...Frozen food can wait 10 minutes... Went to the store on East Main Street today at 5:30 p.m.. Went to pay and had 16 people in front of me with one cashier working and she was trying as hard as possible to keep the line moving. There was a second girl working at the store, saw the line, made a comment that the frozen food had been sitting out to long and she couldn't help to do the line. Needless to say many people walked out of the store without buying anything. Poor customer service on the young girl's part. Customers come 1st, frozen food can wait 10 minutes to get the line moving.

A few coolers were broken and figures the drink that i want is in one of them and im not about to buy a hot energy drink. And the smell coming from them wasnt pleasant either. And then one of the employees was complaining about how she had to work longer, sucking her teeth and sighing over n over, while i was shopping and during checkout

The manager is so sweet. Love shopping in this store. Will never go to another dollar general. Store is clean and workers are polite and know what they are talking about.

Dollar General is the commander of the dollar store forces. It offers a solid array of both basic and seasonal merchandise. You may not find many items selling for a single dollar but you will find much budget friendly merchandise of good value.

The word "dollar" has more power then "general" good for quick (need this? That?) HOWEVER it's generally overpriced to me. Spagettios cost less at a grocery store. But that word "dollar" makes it feel like a deal? = Don't go shopping, grab and go. Lots of stuff to run up a bill Dollar tree!

This is the only store that I would rather prefer to go to but I have to go to the others also lol the staff are amazing and I love the way that they remember each and every one of their customers and it definitely makes you feel like you are home they take pride in what they do in the store they have a lot of great merchandise from the store name products that are so amazing I love the Chucky chocolate chip cookies that the store makes themselves I only will buy that Brand no cookies can beat the terrific taste of there's I will only go to the dollar general for those cookies I am telling you people are going to love those cookies they're called clover valley Chucky chocolate chip cookies and you must buy them and they will make you want to go back for more everyday thanks for your hard work and great quality of your store products and your name brand of products are at a great price that no one can beat it's price

Poor!!! There was an incident with a disabled customer and the employees were rude, snatched products out of the children's hand, then continued to discuss the incident after the customer left... It was very unprofessional to discuss the matter while other customers were present..

Went in for some balloons. Wasnt the best of selections but the staff was friendly. Small parking lot but was spacious enough . Will be visiting again

Prices are relatively inexpensive and usually have most items in stock. Store is in need of straightening and stocking of shelves with merchandise.
