I enjoy shopping here and using the express pay but unfortunately I can’t get the big bags of chips (Tostito and frito lay) coz it’s difficult to scan them with express pay and staff can’t help much with that aspect either, they’d say get the ticket there and scan it but there’s never any ticket to scan it for 2for $8. Apart from that it’s plain sailing.

I couldnt find something I needed in the store for about 8mins walked around the whole store looking around trying to find someone to help me. Their were 2 Employeesin the Fresh produce isle working together, one of them didnt know where it was an he even tried asking his coworker and his coworker was ignoring his question right in front of me. I attempted to ask him myself trying to get his attention being only 2 feet away from him and he completely ignored me, his coworker even looked at me with confusion. He look at me and me after finally getting his attention and he rudely said no and Proceeded back to his task. This one employee was very rude!! black guy with glasses I really wish I got his name. I Continue to look for an employee and I found Janice some seconds later and explain to her my situation and she stopped what she was doing and walked me to what I was looking for above and beyond her work THANK YOU SO MUCH JANICE FOR BEING A GREAT PERSON AND FOR YOUR HELP, BLESSING!!!!That one employee is why I'm putting 4stars. The environment their is nice they have everything and alot of the employees are helpful except for this one encounter I had that day.

Superb shopping store, it has most everything you could possibly needs, great prices, great customer service...and gas price are excellent lowest price you going to get in Waterbury, no question ask...I would absolutely recommended this shopping store to anyone...

Coming from someone 13+ years of Customer Service Experience. Unacceptable customer service at the customer service desk! I was trying to make a return without the paper receipt for something I bought literally Nov 21,2023. But proof was still in the pudding because I have it on my phone in the app. Have the card I used and they gave me such are hard time to make a return. If it’s clear I bought it here and the same Visa card at your store ! Insane…. Now the second person who was a manager was more helpful but was like next time make sure you have the original receipt. As if I’m being reprimanded and do this frequently. Which I don’t! So I said in return make sure it’s clearly written in the return policy. She said I’m not sure why you’re getting upset? I’m upset because I shouldn’t have to be here for 30 mins trying to get a refund for something I want to return and clearly paid for. Walmart , Target, Kohls and etc take returns w/o an original receipt as long as I have my card or web receipt. I’m good. I’ve worked in retail customer service and I know policy one thing is certain customer is always right! Maybe they need to swap out with that cashier who I came across over a year ago who had EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service. Cashier 248592 from today Nov 25,2023 definitely needs retraining in customer care. Thank you for my return after the stress of getting it.

While the deli prices are the best, the wait to get helped is ridiculous. Workers have no urgency and are too busy working on instacart or called in orders? To help the crowd of people standing waiting for a half hour right in front of them. Guess I’ll be paying more elsewhere so I can get out of there faster .

This is my second time receiving TERRIBLE customer service from the supervisor. She wasn’t pleasant, and in fact told me my membership was canceled with a nasty attitude. She must of not remembered how my experience was with her last time, and I was thinking about renewing it this time until she just walked away from me without even excusing herself and going about her shift. All I was going to buy was pampers for my child. This was her opportunity to turn a customer around to open the membership again and treat them with care. I’m very big on giving good service to everyone, being that’s my profession. I’m a very kind person and didn’t even deserve that treatment. From the looks of it everyone was receiving bad service from staff in the customer service area. My family and I have paid for our membership for YEARS, hostile service will never make a customer want to bring their business to a store no matter how good a price may be. I will not be renewing my membership nor shopping at this location again. I will be sure to make sure my family and friends don’t as well.

Usually have a very good experience. Bought lamb ribs to have for New Year's Eve dinner, opened it up and it was rancid. Brought it back New Year's Day, they were apologetic and refunded my money, I thought a gift card would be a nice move for the inconvienence.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...I shop in BJ's regularly and today was the most unruly and unethical behavior that I have ever experienced. Upon checking out I asked for assistance a lady walked towards me then turned and proceeded to the customer service desk. Previously (new years day), I was treated rudely by Tara who has been employed with Bj's. I asked for a coupon book, she replied with asking for my bjs card in a rude manner. I proceeded to give it to her she asked if I wanted mailers added I replied no and she continued on. I expressed continuously that I was not interested and she flung the book on the counter. I did not respond to her actions I had my 10 year old beside me. She saw me look at her badge and yelled here you want my name and flashed her badge. I said happy new year and walked away from her. Today, after the staff unhundles from the customer service desk Maria, approaches me and says, "I'm only helping with your water (5 gallon jugs) I expressed that is all I need help with as I continued to scan. She walks away and says "let me know when you're ready" she proceeds back to the customer service desk and they begin looking and laughing as nobody came back to scan the water. A young lady standing at the island register came to assist I asked her if anyone liked assisting customers and expressed disdain for their rude behavior. She did not reply. After assisting me she went to Maria and relayed what I said about voicing a complaint. Maria looked at me and expressed that she did not care. These women need retraining, if they dislike their place of employment they should seek another alternative. I will be reaching out to Kevin Daddona, I am positive I am not the only person who has received poor customer service from the employees at this location

This place place is ridiculously. I went there last year to put tires on my Dodge Ram truck and they put tires for a suv. I’ve been having a lot of problems with the tires so I went somewhere else to replace a tire and it was there that I found out they put the wrong tires on my vehicle. Went back to bj and was told I was going to get new tires but I had to pay the difference because the tires for my vehicle were more money I had no problem with that and when I went to get the tires installed it was a totally different game. They didn’t want to replace the tires supposedly because they were past the warranty but the issue is that they installed the wrong tires on my vehicle. Horrible customer service, never go there to get tires they don’t know what they are doing

I hate to write bad reviews, but after I give them a 3 chance they new faces don’t do anything about it, so hopefully higher management see this and fixes. First one was getting propane filled up I got there 7:35pm they won’t do it even though they are open till 8pm. Second one was the item I want to purchase it was still on pallet on higher shelves so employer trying to help me till lady who said she in charge stopped him and told me to come back next day, and third problem is those solar salesman they following you around the store they looked like they are kidnappers. I also noticed they are so many new people now which they are unprofessional and they need to be properly trained.

2 weeks ago I order 5 dozen cupcakes for a party November 13thLast week I went to the store and confirmed my order .I had sent someone to pick the order up and they gave her 1 dozen they said that was all that was ordered.That was the only cake for 60 people I was so upset .This place was horrible right from that first phone call...should have known .Theses were special color that's why they had to be ordered. Bjs gets a 2 star that's being generous

9/4/17 Labor Day, I was just running in for a few items (4) to be exact.I got into the "Express Lane" 8 Items or less. 7 people ahead of me.All had 25+ items!!! There were employees work the express lanes.Why didn't them tell them to move out of the line, that it was for 8 Items or less....... I stood in line for 50 minutes....BS.Plus these people didn't even know how to scan the items or coupons or run there credit card... the employee had to come and do it for them....So, why do these customers are aloud to be in this line. Employees need to walk up and down and telling the customer to go to another line..The customer is only going there because it is short to get thru faster, but it is not faster it just holds up everyone. Just get rid of the 8 items or less line....NOBODY FOLLOWS IT.......PUT A CASHIER THERE IT WILL MOVE FASTER!

Worse customer service. Went to put gas and they don't take card only cash. And the worse was the gas station and the guy there gave me actitud just cause I try to explain to him last time I pay on the pump with bank card the put a hold on my card for almost $200 and he gave me actitud and day that's not his problem to go out gas some where else If I can't pay cash. I'm also calling corporate to report these issue. They need to teach some matters to their employees. As a member and paying customer these is 100% unaceptable and disrespectful.

I am very disappointed with the customer service , I got charge 55 dollar for membership card without the guy telling me that I would be charge for my lost membership card he ask for my ID and print the card for me without even saying anything that he would be charging me .if I hadn’t check my bank account I wouldn’t have known. Unauthorized charge into my account . I had renewed my membership card last December .

Honestly I will never go to this BJs ever again. I’d rather drive to Fairfield or Stratford. Between the customer service in the phone I was on hold for 10 mins. A woman had answered and was going to check something for me, waited another 10 mins. Another woman picks up the phone and decides to help me, puts me on hold I’m waiting she comes back is talking to me and in the middle of her sentence pressed the hold button (assuming by accident) and I didn’t get the help. So I decide to just go in store, no one was of help. I went in the self check out line. Waited for a while in line finally get to scan my items and I can’t use cash. They need to have a sign or someone saying card only. I ended up leaving my whole cart and just walking out. A waste of time.

So. It’s cold out and I wanted to get something’s for the house just in case these winds leave us without power. There was a gentleman at the deli counter very nice. So sad I didn’t get his name.😩 he took my order for the meats I wanted, but he continued to talk to me the entire time. Telling me which meats he buys and that stands out to me. He has great customer skills and even though there was a line and we had to wait sometime, him holding that conversation made it all the better. No one got upset. So 👍 to this man and Bj’s for hiring him. The self serve registers are the easiest I have had to deal with. Nice job Bjs!!!

The club itself is okay. They have quite the selection of clothes which is nice. However their gas station is awful. Their pumps don't work well, some don't read the membership cards. I drive 5 minutes further to Costco to fill up.

Phone was stolen from me in the parking lot. The red head at the customer service center was so rude and mean to me the entire time I was there asking for help. A complete stranger helped me get my phone back. She would not even call the police for me. She was even worse to the person who did help me. If this is the level of help and customer service BJ'S give its members. I no longer want to be apart. It was bad enough my phone was stolen. But to add insult to injury. She was down right disrespectful.

Brought an unopened item back, fully packaged with the tags still on. Received it for Christmas, so I don't have the receipt. They won't accept it because I don't have a membership. Guy next to me brought back an opened box of plastic cutlery. Was able to return it for them to throw in the trash.What the hell. I said just let me exchange it for something that fits and she said no because she doesn't know if it was purchased from there or not. There's a massive BJ's tag on it.I asked to speak with a manager and they don't know who I should talk to...what?

We've been going here for 15 or so years and the place is on point for selection and prices. Tends to get crazy crowded at peak times, so shop wisely. My only gripe is that they don't do the liquor like Costco...which is why we go to Costco now. But as far as being able to find stuff easily and selection, I'd have to give the nod to BJ's.

I have been there twice in the last week and need a cart to get around. The door person went to get my wife one in the parking lot. I sat with three carts in front of the store that didn't move. Today there were three carts in front and one key at the door so only one cart can run WHY? If the cart is there it should be able to run. I just started driving to Southington to Wal-Mart do I need to make my BJ's the same.. Thank you
