young dog had what looked to be a terrible eye infection, scary to look at and was really causing her discomfort. Sluggish and not wanting to eat. After a brief exam the Vet determined it was actually a puncture in the mouth/throat that was causing the symptoms. She is a notorious stick eater. A few rounds of antibiotics and she was back to 100%! Amazing, never would have guessed it wasn't directly eye related. Great follow up and extremely gentle and caring with my pet. Highly recommended!

One of the few places our puppy is happy to pull up to. They're always so fast and take a amazing care of our yorkie. Prices are fair and we always leave with a smile on our face. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an office to treat your pet with the best of their abilities.

Our dog passed away this morning. Suffield Veterinary Hospital was so amazing. They helped us and guided us on what to do. When we brought him in they treated him like a person. They gave us three viles of his fur. And will be getting a molding of his paws and and ink print if his paws. The Vet Dr.Laston is amazing. I will never leave this place. I’m so truly grateful for them!!!

Had my bunny spaded and micro chipped. They were only $30 more than Dakin animal and she would have never been cared for as well there as she did here. She spent the night and the "nurses" even texted me updates WITH pictures of her throughout the night!

We called today and told them symptoms of our cat and instead of running tests x-rays blood work they told us to bring him to the animal emergency room. How do you know from a 5 minute conversation that its surgery and nothing else. Just seems like they didn't wanna be bothered.

Only reason I rated 4 is I was on a delivery run and the GPS brought me to them. Very polite and directed me to where I was actually going. That being said haven't used them as veterinarians, but I'm sure if they are polite to someone who showed up to the wrong place and helped them without question I'm sure they look out for their patients just as well and do their best to help them.

The staff at the front continue to be wildly incompetent. Missed and unbooked appointments, wrong dogs booked for appointments, inability to answer basic questions or relay accurate information to the doctors. Where do you keep hiring these people? I've been coming here for over a decade with multiple dogs,cats, and litters of puppies and the ineptitude seems to get worse every few months. The only reason I still come here is for the doctors. Please hire some qualified staff.

Love this Veterinarian and everyone on staff. They're all really friendly and straightforward which is appreciated. We brought my furbaby there after a negative experience somewhere else and thank goodness we did. Our Dexy is now in remission from Diabetes and healthy! Absolutely recommended.

These vet, and staff are so good at what they do.. never a problem. I have a cat and dog and they both see Dr. Dan. He's great with them. My questions and concerns are always addressed and I have not had to wait to long to get an appointment. The only down side and not their fault, is because of covid the pet parents still need to wait outside. I wish they would let at least 1 person in..

I have been bringing my dogs here since they were pups. Recently, my older English Mastiff was having troubles and I wasn’t sure if it was something that could be fixed or if it was just his time.I called and asked if they would take a look at him. They said couldn’t fit him in and to bring him to an emergency hospital.It wasn’t really an emergency, so we waited it out, and he got better, but I still wanted him to be seen. I called the next week, early one morning, and the woman who answered the phone said yes, we can definitely see him today. I explained the situation and she gave me quotes on how much it would be, even in worse case, (She knew his size). She then put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later to tell me she was sorry that they were booked all that day (and the next btw without me even asking) and that because of his size they thought I should bring him to an emergency hospital.When he was young and healthy they had no problem with his size. They let us down BIG time.

Complete disappointment in customer service and animal care. After remaining a loyal and dedicated customer for over 15 years with several animals and thousands of dollars spent over the years with Suffield Vet, to be turned away for an end of day, last appointment of the day - scheduled appointment that was anticipated for over a week due to being 5 minutes late due to rush hour traffic , especially after the COUNTLESS times we have waited minimum 20-30 minutes in the waiting room for most appointments in the past. Suffield vet staff lack compassion and have become even more complacent and rude.

I was very happy with the service and care my dog received from Dr. Huntington. She came in on her day off to see my dog, explained everything in easy to understand language and answered all my questions. Office staff were friendly and efficient. Charges were reasonable. It was a 4 hour trip each way for me and worth every minute.

I've been having trouble finding a vet! I decided to venture out to CT since Mass was a no-go and boy am I glad I found this place. Within hrs, I received an email, and the next day I received a call and they were able to see us the same day. The staff is amazing and I highly recommend them.

I love SVH! The Doctors and techs are amazing especially Dr. Dan, Dr. Ann, Dr. Anita, techs Ellie and Jenn. They all go out of their way to give your pet the best possible care and love. I trust them totally and we are so grateful for how they take good care if not only our boy Howie but us as well. They are all honest, trustworthy caring people who I would recommend to everyone. I have been going here for 14 years. I have always received excellent care for my three dogs and cat. They did have an issue for awhile with front end staff and an office manager which resulted in scheduling issues. They have a new manager and front end staff and I am happy to say that those issues are behind them. I have nothing but trust and faith in the doctors and staff there.

For 13 1/2 years the people at Suffield Veterinary Hospital took care of my Brittany, Molly. They did her first check up and all of them in between. All procedures from spaying to tooth care. Recently, Molly had her last visit. All of her care was first class, all of the vets superb. Thanks to everybody for her compassionate care throughout her life. She and I both appreciated everything you did.

I drove a friend & her dog here today so I had no interaction with this place. My friend? Well she was extremely pleased & wished she lived closer so she could bring her dogs there. Staff that she dealt with were wonderful, of course her dog is a gem so it was easy for them to be kind & concerned.

Such good care for our cats. They do a great job explaining what's going on and what we need to do. Like any vet, plan ahead for appointments, but great vet overall. Each doctor is excellent, too!

Don’t take your Guinea Pigs here.I took my 4 year old guinea pig here for a new pet check up in November. They gave her a completely clean bill of health. Told me her teeth were in great shape. I put her on a low sugar diet and switched her off alfalfa pellets and into timothy when i took her in.Fast forward, Two weeks ago she stopped eating and we rushed her to a different vet because this office refused to give me a sick pet appointment and instead only offered I “bring her in” and then leave her there without talking to the vet or getting a prognosis.This new vet found a severe tooth abscess, and her teeth were in terrible shape. If she survived they told me, she would need one or two dental surgeries to fix her teeth.Tooth problems of that magnitude don’t suddenly appear 2 months after *improving* a guinea pig’s diet.The Suffield vet incompetently mishandled her exam, documented nothing, didn’t tell me about her tooth issues. I could have gotten her preventive care. But instead they took my money, told me lies about her health status, and now my pet is dead.Also the reception staff is very unprofessional, carried on with loud, personal conversations and made me wait to pay in order to finish their conversation.
