Knowledgeable and kind staff, Chris asked all the right questions to discern what would be best for my needs.I also got a new water filter and tool to remove the housing. Rude male employee. Reluctantly showed me to the area that had many of the same item in different sizes. Not sure which was the best for what I needed to replace. He really was nasty and I could tell he really was annoyed. Miss the old Stepney Hardware. Everyone there was helpful.

As a real. hardware store, service is good and they have a good selection. I was shopping for a shop vac and they had a lot of size options of Craftsman vacs.

My new favorite hardware store! Quite a small, lovely place without the hubbub and craziness of Home Depot or Lowes. If you need something like lumber or pipes, Home Depot is your best bet but if you're looking for normal items like spray paint, electrical fixings, or tools, Aubuchon Hardware is a much better place to get it, and sometimes cheaper too. I come here for all of my small household jobs and the staff is always super knowledgeable with recommendations for what I might need, and they're very funny too! Highly recommend coming here for all your projects!

We recently moved to upper Easton and Aubuchon is so convenient. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. I like to shop in person, but ordering online and just walking in the door and picking it up, is great, and have had no issues. I'll be back!

I went to the Rt 25 store in Monroe, CT because I'm a firm believer in patronizing local businesses over big box stores (HD, Lowes, etc) . Picked of 5 bags of Snow Melt, a bar for my Stihl chainsaw and a few other items all totaling over 125.00 or so. I also needed a key cut for my truck. Brought everything up to the counter and informed the clerk about the key. He said "he didn't know how" which is perfectly understandable and he got the other fellow (manager?) to cut it for me. He let out a big frustrated sigh, announcing his displeasure with me that I needed a key cut. He then asked the original guy if it has a transponder in it (it doesn't-the truck is an old 1984 Ford) and RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME states that ''these customers can be dumb sometimes and don't even know they have transponder keys!" At that point, I left my other items at the counter and simply left that store. How incredibly rude!! I will not be patronizing Monroe Aubuchon Hardware ever again and wish to extend my thanks to that manager for sending me to Home Depot. Incredible!

West of town locale on State route 25 ( main street) the main North/south route through the upper Stepney section of town. Easy to see in normal traffic.Easy to get in and out. Great customer service, no waiting in lines.I bought a new jet sled and yaktrax, tried buying the sled from an online site but they wanted to charge me oversize shipping fee, so I saved a lot of money by just going and picking it up Myself here.

I needed a small number of a particular type of wood screw. The big stores had nothing even close. Aubuchon had exactly what I wanted in a wide variety of sizes. This is the type of old-fashioned hardware store every community needs.

I bought something and on my receipt it said redeem and get $7. off your next purchase.It did mention Go Rewards on the receipt but nothing about that you had to be a member or how to become one. No website, nothing. It did have a barcode at the bottom and said expiredApril 17-21The cashier was very nice and helpful. She tried to cash it but it wouldn’t accept it.One of the managers at least I think he was came over and tried to scan but it wouldn’t take.He said I don’t know, the register spits these out once in a while but they don’t work.The cashier did correct him and told him it was legit.I said well it says I can get $7 off my order.He looks at the receipt & says that I missed the date, it expired. The cashier corrected him again.I was there on the 17th.Then he says well are you a Go Rewards member . I said no. Oh well then you have to be a member. I said I did look online and there are lots of Go Rewards programs how was I supposed to know which one?He said did you type in our store name?I said no but I shouldn’t have to guess.I said that’s bad business.If your store offers a reward program they should have something at the register telling people about it or the receipt should offer a website or something.He reluctantly gave me the discount but besides that people who worked there never said can I help you find something?Again the cashier did.My opinion, promote the cashier to management! She’s the only one who knows what’s going on and knows how to treat the customers in a friendly manor.12 minutes waiting for this guy to figure things out & when he couldn’t he made it my fault.They lost a customer. I’ll go to Home Depot.

I've had many experiences here, either in person or over the phone. If you need spray paint or paint etc. you're good. If you're a do-it-yourselfer and need advice or any kind of help just google or visit the house of the di poe.
