Understandably, not everyone has Kristy's experience, but to have someone care enough to make sure the job gets done and patient get the medication they need renews my confidence. Update—They’re the WORST. I waited in the drive-through only to have my turn and see a sign that said the drive-through is closed. They could at least have a sign at the beginning of the drive-through that states only certain people will be served. I called them and they still wouldn’t help. These people stink.Prior review—I waited a while here in one line only to be told my script wasn’t ready. The clerk then made me go to another long line to find out why. I’ve never had to do that before at another pharmacy. I told my husband and he said they made him do that too. I guess this pharmacy wants to emulate the DMV. I’d go elsewhere if my insurance hadn’t created a de facto monopoly

Very tedious automated attendant and the music on hold will drive you insane within 30 seconds. Now I've been on hold for 14 minutes. I'm going to have to find a better pharmacy.

The pharmacy is disorganized and Understaffed. At times you can hear them complaining about their job. There's always a wait even if you call ahead. And forget about going there from a doctor's office it will be at least 45 mins.update for another reviewI called today at 2 to have a prescription moved to clinton cvs. The gentleman told me no problem it would be ready by 5pm. I show up at 7:30. No idea about my prescriptions. Second they don't even have it in the shelf. So now I'm back at madison and they tell me it will be 30 mins. This place is a disaster!!!

Good things about the Madison CVS: nice clerks and a convenient location. Ultimately, though, the other reviewers are right--this particular CVS branch sucks (the Old Saybrook location is much better than this one). The Madison branch seems to have a rather limited amount of stock, and they run out of products quickly, and they really take a long time to restock items.I would suggest going to the Walgreen's in Guilford, instead. I've been doing that lately, and I'm happier for it. Walgreen's pricing is much more reasonable, and they have a wider variety of stock that they seem to replenish more quickly.Also, the parking lot here has a really awkward configuration, and there always seem to be too many cars, and not enough spaces. It's awful, and it's often a pain to get in and out of the lot.

I don't know what happened to this place! As the other reviews stated, this pharmacy used to be great! Pleasant in and out service. Nowadays, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. There are plenty of employees behind the counter (no one sitting idly) and a line of customers that staff can't get to. When I finally get through the line, they don't have my prescription after texting me they do or can't find me in the system. Staff seem lost confused and overwhelmed. They all seem like they are stressed and working hard. The usual management change to the regime of let's ask even more of less and setting good workers up for failure as monster companies like to do I'm sure. Been there. Don't waste your time here. You'll end up pulling your hair out. Take your business elsewhere. I feel for the staff.

Staff in pharmacy is not well versed in how to fill prescriptions and how to bill for the actual amount you receive not for a 90 day supply. This used to be one of the best pharmacies around when Lisa and Doug were there now they can't get anything correct. Been going for over 20 years might have to change!

Worst pharmacy ever! They never seem to know what there doing. Every month I have some sort of issue filling my prescriptions. They continually don't have enough to fill prescription even though I get the same thing every month for over 2 years! There is only employee there that seems to know what is going on and actually does her job. Very frustrating dealing with them every month!

I wish I could give negative stars... I've been using this pharmacy off and on over the last 4 years since I spend only a quarter of the year in CT. Except for one or two instances, every time I get prescriptions at this CVS something goes wrong; I can't even count the number of times I've been overcharged or gotten the wrong prescriptions from this CVS and had to go back to correct the staff's mistakes. Although this is a very conveniently located store, I simply cannot deal with the incompetent pharmacy staff.

A typical CVS with drive thru. In the past service at the pharmacy was slow and not very helpful, hopefully it has changed but I can't help with that because we stopped using their pharmacy over a year ago. We go to the local Stop & Shop Pharmacy most of the time and the Guilford CVS if our drug coverage makes us use CVS.

I had a specific prescription which needs to be refilled on occasion. I am not close to needing it refilled- nevertheless I keep getting automated calls about the prescription nearly every day. I called the Madison pharmacy to ask them to have this practice terminated; I was told I had to call an 800 number, which I’m not going to do. After a 37 year relationship with CVS I will go elsewhere. Idiots!

CVS is great, just has a bit of everything. If you have to pick up a prescription oh, you can also grab milk before going home. If you need a last minute gift, the seasonal section will have a suitable solution. Candy selection is epic!

If you live in Madison and are in need of a pharmacy, it is well worth the drive to Guilford or literally any other CVS in the state. I've never seen incompetency ensue like it does at the CVS in Madison. Avoid at all costs.

Lackadaisical customer service. Not bad if you know what you need and have a quick stop (few other choices close by!) but they don't seem inclined to really help. Mediocre even for a chain pharmacy.

They do their best. It's very busy and people tend to go on lunch breaks and after work, so there is a jam up. Bu t they are generally pleasant and helpful.

They are very slow. Not only that but I can rarely get them on the phone. Being on hold for over 15 minutes every time you call the pharmacy is not acceptable. It’s utterly ridiculous
