I recently spent some time at The Ledyard Animal Control looking to possibly adopt a new dog. While I was unable to fit the right fit I was very pleasantly surprised by not only how knowledgeable the ACO was but also how passionate she was for the animals. Heather asked a ton of questions about myself and my current dog to make sure I could find the right dog to fit into my home. All of the animals there were well cared for and all of the kennels were very clean. She knew all of the animals in her care so well you would think they were her very own. I highly recommend to anyone looking to adopt a dog or cat to check out Ledyard Animal Control office. It’s hard to find somewhere that cares so deeply about each and every animal in their care and also makes sure they will be going to a good loving home.

Ledyard is by far the most professional and passionate animal control facility in the area. They answer the phone and RETURN any missed calls. Heather comes right out to any emergency situation, and if it is not an emergency she makes sure that she can help in any possible way that she can. The resistance of Ledyard do not realize how nice they have it. having an animal control officer who actually does their job is something worth talking about!
