Been two days without my ADHD meds which really makes daily living hard when you can’t focus & work in the medical field 🙃 Refill was sent in on the 7th & my bottle is empty. Now I have to decide if I’m going to miss work to fight with the pharmacy for my medically necessary medicine. But I think im just gonna have my prescription sent to a new pharmacy instead.

One of the slowest pharmacies I've ever been to. They have an automated system when you call in we had a prescription say that it will be ready at 6:45 p.m. I show up there at 5:58pm on a saturday and the pharmacy is closed. Waste of time.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews so I wanted to make sure to leave mine. I have been using this pharmacy for over 7 years and have nothing but nice things to say. I have had a few insurance issues in that time and the pharmacist has always spent time calling to fix the issues for me when I couldn’t get through on my own. Today I went in with quite a list of over the counter medications I needed from the doctor. I went to the pharmacy counter with a question and the pharmacist came out to pick the items off the shelves for me. When I checked out, the cashier noticed that I was ill and wished me well and was so nice!

This pharmacy had a substance abuser in their employ. They shorted me Suboxone (at least ten out of 42) Alprazolam (3 pills out of 30) and other controlled substances on at least 5 occasions.When I called they told me that they checked the inventory and the tape and that I was wrong, but also admitted that once the bags were stapled they were no longer under video surveillance. It wasn't until I started counting the pills at the counter that the behavior stopped, at which point I transferred all my prescriptions to CVS in Norwich and have NEVER had a problem with them. I had a prescription called in for a non controlled because a family member still uses them and had prescriptions waiting for pickup there and they had the nerve to tell me they would no longer fill my prescriptions because I called them out.I hope disciplinary action was taken by corporate and that's why they're so bitter.0 Stars: Too bad, when it was a Rite-Aid it was the best, smoothest experience.

This review is for the store only. Most store employees are unprofessional and rude. Consumers beware their prices hardly ring up correctly. Especially, sale products. You can show the employee the sign confirming the item is on sale and they still give you a difficult time honoring the sale price. It's unfortunate, because I've shopped at other Walgreens locations and have only had issues at this location. The products they carry are nice but the Customer Service experience is AWFUL. I don't recommend this location unless you are lucky to get the 2 employees that actually care about Customer Service and are professional.

Call to see if they have a medicine in stock so I don't drive out of my way. Sit on hold for 15 minutes. Never spoke to a person, just a robot. Like..? There's no way there's so many people there at 12:30 on a Friday that it takes more than 15 minutes to answer the phone?

Called for delivery of my heart meds 3 times and each person says oh tomorrow, still waiting on delivery of heart meds on the third day I need my heart meds!!

There pharmacy department is the worst I've ever been too. They act like your bothering them to help you. I had a script called in for my 2 year old because he had a terriable ear infection and fever. The guy told me we won't have that medication till Monday and I can come get it then. Mind you thats 4 days away . I then explain my son's in a ton of pain is there any way he can find out what walgreens has it and I'll drive to go get it. He told me No I would have to call around to all the walgreens to find one that had it. I called Walgreens in Groton they told me with no problem they can find out what walgreens has it and will make sure they get it ready for pick up for me. The jewitt city walgreens pharmacy staff are lazy and don't want to be bothered to help you. They have attitudes on the phone when you need assistance or have a question. Even though I live 10 minutes from the jewitt city walgreens I now drive over 40 mins to the walgreens in Groton where they are incredible and go above and beyond to help you and don't have nasty attitudes like the jewitty city pharmacy staff. The incident with my son's medication was just one of many issues of them not doing there job or trying to help . If you ask me jewitt city needs a whole new pharmacy staff. They should go spend a few days in the Groton walgreens and learn how to treat your customers.

Never have I ever had a bad medical experience, but this walgreens certainly proved that one can. First of all, they told me I couldn't get live and inactive vaccines on the same day. I talked to my doctors after, asking why I couldn't get them both on the same day, and they told me the pharmacist was incorrect. So thanks to that, I'm set behind on the other three vaccines I need to get. Also, they tried telling me the MMR is a single dose vaccine. No, it's not which I repeatedly told them, saying I need to come back in four weeks for my next dose. My doctor told me I could have at least had 3, if not all 4 of those vaccines given. Walgreens persisted, even if they were both inactive that I would only be given two. Why??????? I have nursing school I have to be ready for and I need to make sure I was even given the correct vaccine. They are clueless, how can they even be running this pharmacy when they don't know simple things and tell patients false info on serious medical vaccines? I'm beyond upset, and frankly thinking of switching my pharmacy elsewhere because I would like to get my medicine from a place where people are actually knowledgeable. I get that they are simply a pharmacy, but if you don't know anything about vaccines... how can you give a patient one? Do not go to this walgreens is my advice.

My wife is pregnant and these days I'm in there at least once a week to get her meds. The pharmacists are great and I'm writing this review because one of them (and I can't remember who it was) was super helpful the other day and saved me a bunch of money. She went through my order, noticed that the glucose meter I chose was incompatible with the strips I had picked out and then went through everything and made some great suggestions about what to do, etc., specifically to not spend $100 on a blood sugar monitor that my wife's doctor could've put through our insurance.Thanks again!

My elderly grandmother went to the Jewett City Connecticut Walgreens. She is 84 years old and her concerns for going into a pharmacy during a pandemic are very real. She had tried to use the drive through service at that location to pick up prescriptions and a bottle of Zyrtec allergy medication. She was told that the allergy medication requires a license check and a signature (never before have either been required by any store that Zyrtec can be purchased at) and subsequently turned away. I would like to express my concern with the service at this specific location. This is not the first time things have been done differently at the Jewett City Connecticut location. There are many other stores she can go to, but again she is 84 and her husband is 90, which means they don’t like to travel too far from home. It is a disgrace that a hometown pharmacy (which was previously Rite Aid, and no problems like this ever occurred, in fact the pharmacists would go above and beyond for their elderly customers) will treat their elderly customers like this.

Can't get through on phone. You can not renew prescriptions . Automated system does not understand key or vocal props. Have to go there to renew prescriptions. Lacks customer service. No one appears to know what they are doing. Would give a zero star if I could. Do not use,
