I never knew the history or that it was part of a chain of stores ?Never saw anything for .99©, I guess that's what the " + " stands for.But it will do, as a last minute, cheaper buy.I would visit on occasion. Never friendly, never hostile. Yet sadly, the neighborhood is all about, each one's ethnic group & their own. (aka I only have a New England accent Born n Raised here)I've been here longer (54+ yrs) & I get the feeling, I'm the outsider ?Especially in this plaza & the neighborhood businesses in it.As the saying goes, "All skin folk, ain't kin folk".But, running a business with a smile, thank you & a little courtesy. That is lost on this small business community.I don't think this one will close. But if it does, another store, similar to it will pop up.It will copy all the other non franchise small businesses, too. With the same business model, "U buy, we provide n u leave".Sadly interesting?

I like the 99 cents stores because they have Cool Tommy Sodas for 70 cents.
