I honestly don’t understand some of the critical comments I’ve read from the past 24 hours.I arrived at 9:55am before they opened and was let in while they started their opening procedures. I was greeted by the owner and an associate immediately and was allowed to look around. I have to say, of all the puppy stores in the state this was the cleanest smelling (actually did not smell any feces etc) and cleanest looking. I truly don’t understand any comments to the contrary.I saw beautiful puppies all excited, happy and relatively clean after being in their pods overnight. Yes, there was messes, but that’s to be expected, they’re puppies. Again, I was there before they opened so I got to see them cleaning up the pods, the pups and giving them fresh water etc. I was surprised they didn’t have fleece/wool squares to lay on, I do understand they can be a choking hazard but I was a bit bummed to see that.Shortly after they were opened they allowed me to interact with the pup I saw online. We probably sat with her for 2 hours while the store began to fill with families. I could see the team was a bit overwhelmed as I only saw two associates (in training) and the owner. However, the owner came to every person, greeted them and asked for their patience and understanding.It seems that people called out (not surprising as it was the day after Thanksgiving) and even their systems went down. Regardless of all this everyone in the store was greeted, explained the situation and knew there would be delay.As I mentioned we sat with the pup playing, cuddling and watching others for a good 2 hours. We weren’t in a rush and were with the pup we were considering taking home.Shortly thereafter we were able to swap puppies as there was one other we wanted to meet. While with the pups, we could see people not following the guidelines and rules the associates gave to anyone who wanted to interact with a puppy. Parents weren’t watching their children and dogs were being held in the air when it was explained not to do so since they’re fragile and can be injured, among other things.We decided that this was the puppy we wanted to take home. Sadly, we didn’t realize it had just come in and needed its final vet check. However, as I’m writing this we are getting ready to go pick him up.I have to reiterate this store was clean, professional, kind and much better than other places I’ve been to in the state. I would highly recommend visiting the welcoming staff and the adorable puppies if you’re considering a new pet pal.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Almost every single dog cage was filled with old pee and poop (1 or 2 looked newly cleaned). It looked like they had only 1 person working which is clearly not enough staff to keep up with the upkeep and cleanliness of these puppies. I felt terrible after seeing the conditions these dogs are left in. This business needs to hire more staff or shutdown entirely.

This place is a joke. First off, here are the horrid conditions of the cages. It was our second time here in two days and the paper was never changed. Second, they charge to anyone just starting to look to hold a dog and then just start making up rules on the top of their head to see if they have a connection with the dog. You obviously can't just buy a dog but hey.. You can pay $5 to play with a dog for 15 minutes per dog. The guy that works here is a punk and was clearly just lazy and didn't want to help any customers or care at all. I've personally never felt like I was being discriminated against until today. When we were there last time there were just people playing with dogs. I saw people not paying and their kids just playing but now there's a fee? It's super disrespectful and just an aweful business tactic. Don't go here for a dog. There are better pet stores or shelters to go to.

Honestly the conditions these puppies are in here are awful, and you should shop elsewhere if you are looking to get a dog. Sure, they all are such adorable animals but putting your money into this place only supports the treatment the dogs receiving.Both times I went all of the enclosures were disgusting and uncleaned. All the dogs had to play with in their small kennels was the paper they had to use the bathroom on. There were no water bowls for any puppy, only the rodent water bottles you see used in Petco for hamsters. When we played with one of the puppies we had to ask for a toy for the dog to play with, which looked brand new when they gave it to us. I'm not even kidding when I say this, but one of the workers asked us if we had brought they toy from home when they saw us using it.Overall, I personally don't think you should support this business. Adopting from a shelter is far better and even if you are looking for a purebred puppy go to a responsible breeder and not puppy-mill-like institutions like this. Sorry for the millennial rant but it's honestly horrible and it made me cry multiple times thinking about the sad little puppies here who have probably never touched grass. I always try to be someone who is open-minded and doesn't spread negativity for unjust reasons, but I think this may justify it. Thanks for listening to my ted talk.

Puppy Palace was a great experience whether you’re shopping for a puppy to bring home or simply to spend time with. Staff on the floor were outgoing and very informative. The units the puppies were in, were spacious for puppies to freely move around in. If you’re in need of a puppy, please visit the Glastonbury area and pay Puppy Palace a visit.

I adopted my mini poodle at the puppy palace. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We had a particularly time sensitive situation and they were very accommodating, which allowed me to adopt my puppy. Thank you for giving me Loti, my little princess!

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went in to go look at some puppies. We had even scheduled an appointment for a play date with a dog e were interested in potentially purchasing. We then got to the front desk where we were greeted by an employee and asked a number of questions asking where we were from, if we intended to play or purchase, and a few other irrelevant questions. Being that purchasing a dog is a big decision we simply told the employee that we were primary looking to play. Before we could even explain further, we were told it’s going to be a little bit of a wait because there were two people ahead of us waiting to see some Puppies (not sure why, when we had an appointment set for 6:30, and it was 6:28 when we went in). We found this strange being that two of the play areas were completely free, but nevertheless, we still took a look around, hoping we can play with the puppy that we had an appointment set to see. We waited approximately 25 minutes hoping we would still be able to play with the puppy and with each second that went by we noticed that everyone else in the store left, except for one family that was actually purchasing. At this point, we realized there was no one actually ahead of us in line, waiting to play with a dog, and we were just told that in hopes that they could wait us out. This store, giving no priority to any prospects, was completely disheartening, because they actually had a good selection of puppies and have now lost a set of customers.That being said, I am glad this experienced happened because now I know who not to give my money to in the future, when purchasing a puppy.

Sheila the owner is an amazing lady who cares about her customers and her puppies.These are NOT puppy mill puppies. The facility is spotless and all the pups looked very happy. some people on here have left nasty reviews that simply aren't true. Ridiculous. Would recommend puppy palace to anyone.

We got our handsome boy here, Christian was very helpful, and the owner Sheila took time to answer all our questions. Very clean, and all the puppies looked happy and clean. Very sympathetic to us just losing our beloved papillon. Our Max is very happy, and so are we!

Went in store every cage for all dogs were full of not just one poop but several piles. Puppy was eating peed paper unacceptable. I wanted to see dog but under circumstances i didn’t want to touch dog filthy with poop in pawsstaff was not receptive to busy on phones owner needs to over see staff allot closer to ensure the dogs are well kept

Terrible experience. Went in with genuine interest in purchasing a dog, and the nice man who greeted us (new employee) asked if we were here to play or purchase, so we said both and he asked for ID. We proceeded to try and provide it and then the owner/manager loudly and rudely said “No it’s gonna be 20-30 minutes before you can play with any dogs, he’s new (referring to the employee who told us we could play with a dog). We said no problem and asked if we could look around while we waited. He said yes so we began to look at the dogs in the glass boxes. We found that almost all of them had poop and pee everywhere in their cages, some without food, and many dogs had faces, paws, or bodies covered in poop. It is very clear that there is not nearly adequate care at this facility and I feel sad for the puppies stuck here. After about 20 minutes, I walked back over to the owner/manager at the fromt desk just to check if we were still in line, as he never actually had us sign in. He had someone in front of the desk signing papers. When I walked up he turned to look at me, so I just went to ask politely if we needed to sign in. He interrupts me mid-sentence and rudely shouts “Excuse me ma’am, ma’am, ma’am, ma’am, I’m with a customer” holding his hand up at me as if I’m a child, then turns around and ignores me. So I went back to my friend and we stood there for another 10 minutes patiently waiting. After over 30 minutes of being completely ignored and viewing how the employees handle and treat the puppies, as well as the very demeaning encounter with the manager, we were clear we did not feel comfortable spending our money here, and promptly left without so much as holding a dog. The cherry on top, there were four play pens in the store and 3-4 were empty the entire time we were there. Do not recommend or support this establishment.

Such a wonderful place. They're staff is wonderful. If i could, i would, spend my whole day there. Honestly its nothing like other puppy stores ive been to, it shows how dedicated to the puppies health and well being. ☺️

Came in to purchase a French bulldog puppy, Frenchies are 5k put a deposit down of 500.00, came back an hour later to pick up puppy in the middle of doing paperwork the woman passes us over the health records and the puppy was diagnosed with Stenotic Nares and soft pallet both of which would require surgery! When I questioned the woman she googled the diagnosis in front of us! Then proceeded to say that French bulldogs are expensive my response was I understood that but they are charging breeding quality prices for pet quality dogs who come with congenital health issues, they refused to come down on price of puppy or give me back my deposit. I would tread lightly purchasing here and ask to see everything up front. Never trust a place that knowingly sells dogs with health issues for top dollar nasty business

No pictures allowed because it’s a PUPPY MILL STAY AWAY unless you want a life full of problems. People should be ashamed of themselves

We are so grateful for The Puppy Palace! This is where we found our beloved Oliver who we love and adore so much! We set up a play date with Oliver when we saw him on the website and we knew the second we saw him that he was ours. I recommend The Puppy Place to anyone interested in getting a puppy. We have allergies in our home so it was very important to us to meet our puppy first. I didn’t have an allergic reaction, an hour later we were filling out the paperwork and he was ours. ❤️

First and foremost, this place is NOT a puppy mill, shelter, or anything close, so to those whom support those places are obviously free to do so, however this is not a place to get a puppy if you would rather support those animals in need, however if you feel content on owning a purebred pet then please consider the following unbiased review.———————————————————————That being said, puppy palace is a “gourmet” puppy boutique, which features roughly 40 different breeds at any given time- some are siblings, pairs and sets of three. The puppy’s are extremely well taken care of, however, they are animals, and the glass walled tanks can be dirty at times (due to urine/ feces). Rest assured, the staff works tirelessly to clean up after the pets, often changing out the paper in their glass kennels. The building itself is absolutely impeccably cleaned, and has sort of a hospital feel to it. Very sanitary. There are NO public restrooms, most likely to prevent them from getting dirty and to protect the health of the puppies, and their vets. The puppies are all of AKC, OFA, APRI, ACA, UABR, or Blue Ribbon standard/ heritage. The puppies featured are often sold at a quick pace, on rotation. You can make an appointment or stop by. I’d say if you are interested in a particular puppy, check him/her/them, out asap, as they are sold within 2-3weeks and occasionally puppy’s can be held until they are purchased 3 months latest - though rare. There are hand sanitizers throughout the store as well. Play appointments can last around 30 minutes but more or less you can spend around an hour with them, giving the puppy’s time to get out their zoomies, and get some exposure to other puppies and visitors. In an appointment, you’re given the puppy, along with their favorite toy. Some puppies are more quiet and others can be more reckless… they are puppies so they do teeth, sometimes on visitors and shoelaces! So be advised if you bring your child (though the dogs do all have a friendly demeanor!). Each puppy is roughly $3,000 to adopt (subject to change depending on the puppy- I’m assuming) and once adopted the owner is provided with the up to date vaccinations, and perigee, etc.The owner is extremely friendly! So are the staff! They work very hard to constantly keep the floors clean, and the kennels clean.Please be mindful and respectful, that some people adopt purebred dogs, and some adopt shelter dogs. This is their choice and it’s best to not let your opinion affect the future of this business! Remember this is a one owner, making a living for their family! If you ran a business, reviews matter!We try and visit this place every few weeks, because not only does it increase our mood, but it helps the puppies feel loved and appreciated! I recently visited and when I politely asked to hold a dog, They questioned me if I was 21 years old and frowned at me. I’m pretty sure there’s no age limit to holding a dog in a dog store. Management was rude, and seemed like he hated his own job. Probably shouldn’t be working at a dog store if you’re that miserable.

They are very nice and welcoming. There was a lot of fell and retrial on the application part lol for me too do but finally were able to get the puppy home. Over it was a great fun working with Nicole and Steve were a great help and so nice threw the whole process.

These are puppy mill puppies - do yourself a favor and look up what a “usda certified” breeder is before you think about buying here. It isn’t ethical breeding. By buying from here, you are supporting puppy mills. Ethical breeders are AKC certified. Ask for the breeder before you buy from here. Be smart, do your research, think twice.
