I has such wonderful customer service today during my visit. I came here to inquire about a bearded dragon and Angela was such a great help. She welcomed me with warm smiles and just overall awesome energy. She knows a lot about the animals here and I love that a lot. Angela deserves a raise!!! She is awesome at her job. I will be back!!

Took my son in to get a beta fish. We were greeted at the door with smiles. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Angela helped us get everything we need and gave us plenty of great information since it was our first time getting a beta fish. She made the experience extremely special for my son and easy for me. We had a great experience!

Happy Day!Today, 1/29/24, I visited your establishment and as soon as I walked through the doors I was addressed with a very friendly greeting by both Samantha “Sam” & Angela which was very inviting. Even as I left I was given quite the friendly well wishes for a great rest of the evening. 😊 Having visited your store before I remembered them immediately as they were both so wonderful even the last time. (Today they both even remembered me not just by saying they did but remembering what I was looking at the last time, etc., which speaks volumes, while I was still shopping, so it’s not like they seen it on the computer screen yet because I hadn’t approached the counter to be rung up yet) Last visit I meant to leave a review but misplaced a card with their names on it (as I specifically asked for their names because I was so impressed by their professionalism, kindness, friendliness and knowledge to my questions, which this statement goes the same for my visit today). I figured I would ask again when I return and that’s exactly what I did today. I’m sure you’re well aware but here is just a friendly reminder, that you are very blessed to have such wonderful employees representing your business. I noted that Samantha was very kind and patient while teaching Angela something on the computer which is refreshing to see & hear because unfortunately all too often I’ve witnessed a seasoned employee behave in such a demeaning & insensitive way towards others who may not be as seasoned. Samantha did not display that whatsoever and Angela seemed eager to learn. All in all I do hope all of your employees or as I like to refer to as “your team” are just as much of a blessing to your business as these two young ladies are! Thank you for having employed them. I visited earlier this week with the intent of finding a hamster and I am beyond words with the service that's been provided. Walking through the door I was greeted very nicely by Angela. She was very eager to help and made sure I was able to pick out the perfect little guy! She showed me and taught me about what hamster would be right for me and now I am the proud owner of a little Chinese dwarf hamster named pot roast! The checkout process was swift and easy and I've never been so happy with a pet purchase before. The employees you have now are very kind and knowledgeable and I am very happy with my service! Amazing service from the girls who work at this pet shop. This place is so amazing and clean. The animals look so well cared for and you can tell they are happy. Every time I come in I’m always seeing the girls either cleaning the Store or the animals. They are always the best, they stop what they are doing and help me find everything I needed. Amazing pet shop will recommend to everyone!!

I LOVE A-Z Pet Shop! All of their workers are so knowledgeable and helpful! I have seen how loving they are with their animals as well! If they do not have a product that I need for my animals they will try to see if they can order it for next time! 10/10 would recommend and will always come here!

My husband and I went in to get something for our bulldog. We decided to look at the puppies. My husband and I were upset on how the puppies are in these plastic holders. Sad. One puppy looked to have an infected eye that needed to be cleaned. It was oozing. When we said something to the girl working about his eye her reply was it's fine. Derby needs to hire caring employees. I really think they could come up with better housing for them. They didn't even have anything to lay on.

Such a wonderful clean store, has a lot of different choices. But most importantly super great and friendly staff always helps me answer my questions. Also they play and treat the puppies and other animals amazing like their own! Such a great pet store!!!

The current living conditions these puppies are under are completely unnecessary & cruel. I went in there & saw them alone in what looked like empty fish tanks with 2 or 3 toys at most. They didn’t have a little bed either, just a few handfuls of hamster mulch that got thrown & scattered in there. There was barely any space for them to run around & play which was the most heartbreaking to me. The least you could do is put them in a larger space with each other with blankets, toys, etc. Smaller animals like the ferrets or guinea pigs had better spaces. Dogs are not like ferrets, they need more attention & they need to be active. What I saw was disgusting & needs to be changed immediately.

For a private petshop it's good. I saw some brand of pet product i have not seen anywhere else. Place was clean, spacious, really organized and the staff was telegraphically aware of all their inventory; Kudos for that. I was in and out in the blink of an eye. That price point really is something.

I naïvely purchased an extremely overpriced product that turned out to be complete garbage. They refused to return the item because they couldn’t make money off of it anymore. Complete lack of understanding about how customer service should work. Furthermore, every employee seems to be a high school student that wishes they were anywhere else but working there. I’ve walked in in the past to see two girls hiding behind the counter giggling while laughing at their phones. Or they are just in the back playing with puppies. I am a relatively frequent customer because this business is on my way home, I will never return to this place, and I would definitely recommend anybody I know with pets to avoid it as well. Enjoy the $30.

went in a few months back to buy a bearded dragon. had nothing but amazing support from a staff who answered all my questions. the store is very well kept and tidy. my kids love coming with me to buy the crickets for my lizards because they see the variety of different pets that they have . over all nothing bad to say about this store .

Horrible experience here , so first I came excited to buy a puppy & I automatically connected with this dog . I bought her for 2,500$ & when I take her home I notice a scar on her belly so I’m anxious & automatically made an appointment with the vet worried about my puppy . I go to the vet to find out my baby has a previous hernia & it was fine the vet said it was nothing to be concerned about thank god . I recommend A to Z pets to my aunt because she wants a puppy for her son she purchased a puppy & he was fine at home . When the time came to get his shots he has parasite’s & worms .Thirdly I had recommended A to Z pets to my cousin who wants to get a puppy for her babies & all the other puppies were playful , teething , outgoing her dog was very shy , scrawny to where u can see his ribs & we just thought he was just a shy puppy so they purchased him for 3000$ Took him home he wasn’t playful , very shy , tired , skinny & ti the point where they had to force feed him with a syringe .so sad so now we’re worried after paying 3000$ having to pay vet bills to have to disappoint her kids who were so excited to buy a puppy . So we go to return him & the staff were very rude , only said we can have 50% refund back .Thank god they gave us a full refund but not without a fight . I’m very disappointed & it’s sad these workers & business owners do not care about these innocent lives & are only money hungry. Please be cautious about purchasing Here !

This place is heartbreaking! Not only are these girls clueless but they have a policy you can’t interact/ take out a puppy unless you buy first….sooo you’re going to purchase a dog before you even know it connects with you?! They are all alone in a fish tank with what looks like saw dust….shut this place down asap! The bunnies have a larger space than the dogs.

I decided to check out A to Z Pet Shop! The employees didn't even bother to step away from behind the counter to see if I needed help or had any questions, didn't greet customers when they walked through the door. They were on their phones not paying attention. Once I collected what I needed, I still was not spoken to; except when I was asked if I wanted my receipt with an attitude!!! I'm sorry but that is unacceptable and horrible customer service. There are also no prices in the cat food aisle...apparently you just have to guess how much something is because the employees couldn't be bothered. I hope when you hire more employees, you train them on how to speak and treat customers when they walk through the door!!

I’m not really sure the people there actually know how to take care of certain animals properly. The ferrets for example I have seen many times in there alone and without food. Ferrets are supposed to have their supply of food in the bowl 24/7 it even says it on their food bags for instructions and directions. I’m not sure they know how to bath them correctly, it’s not supposed to be often or else it’ll dry their skin out and their ears cannot get water inside or else they can go deaf. I’ve noticed the puppies in their shaking alone and afraid, and I was told they’re let out after work and everything but I think it would be better if someone gave them a walk, or allow people to come in and take them out even if they can’t take them home allow them to have people interactions. I understand it’s just a basic pet store but if you have actual animals you need people who know what to do correctly with those animals not just anybody even if they own that animal they have to actually care and know. They always have the food I need for my animals and have things always in stock but I am concern over all about the animals well-being and the training behind the staff towards the animals. That’s goes for here and possibly others as well.

I was all set to consider making this my new go to pet store for my dog and cats needs, but I'm glad I am reading the reviews first, as I do not think there is any way I could ever support a business that keeps dogs in fish tanks filled with what appear to be wood shavings for bedding, because I would definitely have something to say about that.On the other hand, if the dogs are properly being cared for and being allowed to play with one another, then I guess I may be passing judgement too soon in regards to what I have just mentioned, as I realize that there will always be a market for puppies/young dogs....I'm certain that one day I will pay this store a visit to see what kind of products they sell, and when that happens I will update this review with one that is more accurate.

Very disappointed. It was super upsetting to see the puppies in glass tanks filled with what looks like saw dust and not with a bed or blanket. I was very upset that the puppies didn’t have a toy, ball, chew bone or anything. Considering the store is filled with thousands of toys. I suggested to the 2 young female employees that the puppies (baby’s) should have something to play with or cuddle with. Their response was “OH” At least they did have hard food and water. So sad!!! Where’s the compassion for a baby that was recently removed from its mother.
