I experienced the most kindest customer service from a wonderful bakery employee in Dayville, CT. Her name is Abby. I explained to her how we recently lost a baby and are looking to do a cupcake gender reveal with our children that evening with our newest pregnancy. You can tell she was working on so much, but she paused everything she was doing and helped me with this. She looked at our results email as I didn’t want to find out before my family, then she literally put together a dozen of the most freshest cupcakes, filled them with our surprise gender color and added such super cute toppings. Not only were they delicious and super cute, y’all she did this in less than 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes!!! This was such an important moment for our family and Abby at the Dayville, CT bakery made it super special! I have never ordered from the bakery at Stop & Shop, but this wonderful experience now has me a forever customer for all of our special occasions. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The marketing signage for pricing is highly deceptive at Stop and Shop. Luring you into what you believe to be a good deal, only realizing at the register that it needs a “digital coupon” clipped for it. Which of course you won’t do when at the register with people behind you waiting. Just go to Aldi, none of this nonsense. Right down the road.

I love Stop and Shop for many things. They are always clean and bright. The staff is happy and pleasant and helpful. They often have things I can only find there. BUT, why are their prices of non sale things always so expensive, at least in North East CT. For example, I never buy dairy there. Milk is crazy. I love light cream, but I am not going to pay almost $7.00 for a quart when I can get a quart at Walmart for $3.18. Just not going to happen. Other items are much more expensive too, or maybe just the things I look for. That is why I give them a 3 instead of a 5.

This place puts signs up and then don't honor that price. When a sign says 2 for $5 then I should get it for that price and not the full retail price. Cashier said they put their signs up on Thursday for the next weeks sale. These signs should not be put up for customers to be misled into buying something at full price. I'll take my shopping some place else due their high prices and not honoring their signs.

Oof where do I even begin?! What a Thanksgiving NIGHTMARE! First of all, I ordered 4 lbs of crab legs for pick up for thanksgiving. When my husband brought the grocery’s home I realized all we got was two half lbs ( equaling one pound total.) I will say that when I called the woman was helpful in the fact she went looking for more for me and came back saying all she found was another pound And a half snd she would put it aside for me to pick up the next day. . Sent my husband. He gets the other pound she set aside. They don’t offer absolutely anything, for the mess up or the fact we had to go back. so I call to see if they have more. The guy says they have more, but he’s leaving in a half hour but would put them aside. Great. I send my husband, BACK so we have the 4 lbs total by the end of all this. All the crab smelled strongly of a fishy smell. I didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to smell like that because I trust the grocery store to sell good food. We also got salmon. It smelled weird and was kind of slimy but again, I figured it was fine. WRONG. We cooked the salmon, and re heated the crab legs by steaming them, and ate some… but our meal was short lived…. We have been so sick since. I went to toss out the crab and I realized the strong ammonia smell was COMING FROM THE CRABLEGS ! Absolutely DISGUSTING. The pot they were in REEKED.the crab legs REEKED. Between the slimy sour mushy salmon and the fishy, ammonia, spoiled crab legs, I will NEVER shop here again. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. Completely ruined our Thanksgiving and now we have to ride this out😭🤢I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat seafood again. 😭😭😭

Larger Stop & Shop keeps a somewhat wider variety of grocery items and produce in stock. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

Too expensive. They are sliding people and you should be sure when your cashing out that your items ring at the right prices. If you don't have a stop n Shop card, don't shop there.

Recycle center is awful, even with the new machines. They're not cleaned, and never work correctly. Drove 30 mins there today for them to not be working, again. You ask for help, and you get "oh they must not be scanning" Which is what I told you the machine is saying. I go way out of my way to shop and this store so I can return my water bottles but I guess I will need to bring my business elsewhere. Sidenote, the poor cart employee, who was dripping sweat went to tell the manager about the machines and was barely even acknowledged as I watched in disbelief. I contemplated saying something but understood it'd get me no where.

Their produce section is full of rotting vegetables, so many products are out of date yet still on the shelves, and there’s a good chance that the meat will be bad when opened, even when it’s in date. Such frustration every time. The only saving grace is that the staff is typically helpful and friendly.Update: The link they sent me in their reply does not even lead to a form, as they said it would, just to their main website. Less than helpful.

No matter what time I go to this store the milk cooler is never stocked with guidas or garelick whole milk. Morning, noon or night. I understand it can't be stocked all the time, but the last 5 times I've been there they've only had Hood or store brand while milk. I hate spending more on hood milk which I don't even really like but it's marginally better than the store brand.

This supermarket is a good to go place. It has a variety so it's perfect. Most of their supply is fresh and so far I've never had a problem! Love their app for coupons so I get discountflation lol

I’m giving stop and shop 5 stars simply bc Josh at the deli earned the 5 stars!!! Customer Service everywhere has been absolutely horrendous but this kid was awesome… He was helpful, knowledgeable and just seemed willing to help me… it was 8:30pm on 12/13. Most at this time aren’t friendly bc they are closing soon and just want to go home. This kid was great and deserves acknowledgment. Way to go Josh!

Nice people, but prices are higher than nearby markets. Good for Deli and vegetables. Now that Super Stop and Shop responded, I would like to mention that they have a nice scanning tool that lets you scan your items as you go if you agree to random audits. The technology in the self checkout is antiquated, especially if you move an item without the machines permission. Than a person will help reset the machine. None of those problems exist with their newer technology. I used to use their Smithfield, RI store and they had the best shopping experience. Dayville is worth the investment to upgrade the tech. I do not want to look through all the digital coupons as the market suggests to save a few dollars. Please provide the best possible price all the time. Then maybe I will do all my marketing their, not just deli and vegetables. Keep the top knotch staff as they still make the visit worthwhile.

Placed an order for grocery pick up today. Was ready the same day, on time, but some items received were expired. You'd think the pickers or staff would remove expired items from the shelf. Going to have to go out to the store to replace, which was what I was avoiding. Will be going to big y.

Being from Rhode Island and coming to this store I was a bit surprised the prices are all 25 cents-$1.00 higher on most smaller items. Also they charge for bags that's slightly annoying. Aside from that, the store is very clean and has a pretty decent selection.

Went in for Boar's Head deli meat, good selection and good and fast service. I was in and out quickly which I appreciated, because I was on lunch brake and didn't have much time. Thank you for jumping in and opening another slicer.

I thought I’d give Stop & Shop another try after months of playing which grocery store in the area is the worst. After being in their store shopping for two hours their manager decided to blame his help for the filth in his store. He blamed their ages not his poor leadership. All his Customer Service people were standing around talking to each other instead of paying attention to the customers or bagging for the customers. After three tries I go to put my groceries on a clean belt and the employee bagging left thank goodness because she had heavy cans on crushables. Then the cashier was speeding throwing the items down the lane that I’m smacking myself in face frustrated telling him to slow down. Worst Stop & Shop I’ve ever been in! I left my groceries and walked out. This store is a joke! I won’t be back.

Very orderly and clean. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. Prices are higher than in Georgia, but that seems like the norm up here.
