Wow, what a transformation. Old back room used to be storage for used tanks/equipment. Now housing beautiful fresh water fish. Beautiful koi pond when you walk in. Their coral selection are really nice and healthy. Nice selection and variety of saltwater fish well. Store owner Chris is also very knowledgeable. Would definitely come back, next time I come back up to CT

Max reefs is quickly becoming one of my favorites and definitely worth stopping by if in Bridgeport or tri-state area! One of my favorite things about the place is their bargain section of both new & used products! I know of no other lfs with such and I’ve always said more lfs (local fish stores) need to do and have the same!

Top notch service today with Josh! He was well educated on all products, including fish, coral, and prices. The store has an amazing set up as well as fully stocked for all your aquarium needs! I will definitely be coming back for sure.

Great place with a huge selection which makes me want salt water fish but they also have smaller area with freshwater fish so I'm really glad to be able to go their for my tank too! Prices are very competitive and it is well worth the trip.Chris helped us on two recent trips to the store. He is super friendly and helpful. So glad I found Max Reef!

Max Reef has become our go to lfs. Chris and the guys are excellent and very knowledgeable. Willing to help Troubleshoot your issues and make recommendations. They know the hobby inside and out. The prices at Max Reef are super competitive and possibly the best I’ve seen at the major stores in CT. The selection of corals and fish is second to none and they have all the hard goods you could want .

Max Reef has just secured another loyal long term customer due to their excellent compassionate customer service and great prices!! I was astounded by the knowledge all the employees had, the genuine interest in making sure every specific need was met during my visit. The shop is absolutely immaculate clean, vast variety of fish and personable staff. Kevin went above and beyond for my family and left feeling like he was a friend. My son was offered to feel the koi fish which was so cool to see and nice of them to do. Highly recommended checking this place out with your family and friends you won’t be dissatisfied.

This review isn't for the store it's self, or the staff working there. It's specifically for the owner Norman who is NOT professional with dealing with his customers. Because of his neglect, lack of professionalism and knowledge, I lost thousands of dollars worth of salt water fish and corals. He took deposit for a job and never returned to complete the job we agreed on. He rarely returns calls or msgs, he never shows up when be promised to. Dealing with him was nothing but a hassle and agony. He should just sit in his shop and let his staff handle service calls because he doesn't know what he is doing.

Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time helping us to figure out which particular inverts would be compatible in our tank. They have a great saltwater fish selection as well as corals. If you ask him to try and order something he definitely will.Overall a great saltwater, and now newly freshwater store. He just opened up the freshwater section recently and it looks gorgeous!

For all of the saltwater sea creatures that you could even imagine it's a One-Stop buys all for all your saltwater and freshwater aquatic needs....Absolutely an amazing bunch of people very friendly and if they don't have what you need they can order it for you and have it within 48 hours which is also amazing. My boyfriend and I are new to saltwater tanks and discovered Maxreef aquatic threw word of mouth so we gave it a try. Maxreef is really clean, beautiful with lots of fish the fish tanks are very clean. Impressive customer service the owner Chris and the employees are very helpful. Every question I had to ask them had an answer, so I was very enthused. I'm happy that Bridgeport has Maxreef because it's one of my favorite places to purchase fish. Maxreef's got fish, tanks, fish food, corals, sand, solutions and more. I highly recommend Max Reef.
