Lovely service, environment, delicious meats, delicious sandwiches and much more!!I go to Avon Prime Meats every once in a while and each time I go I am always pleasantly surprised! My parents were coming over to celebrate their retirement and my dad LOVES steak. Of course, I had to get the best kind and I turned to Avon Prime Meats. I am so glad that we went! The staff helped us pick out the most delicious steak and the service was incredible! We went there a couple of days later to get a sandwich for my son right before his soccer game and it was honestly one of the best sandwiches that we have ever had! He wanted another one right after his game!!All in all, I cannot recommend this shop enough. Definitely worth it to check it out!!

My husband and I were there a couple of weeks ago to grab sandwiches. When we told the man behind the counter that we would need a moment since it was our first time, he came back with 2 sampler of their house made marinated steak tip. Which we had last night and they were amazing, super tender! The sandwiches were also very fresh. We will definitely come back!

I shop at Avon Prime Meats because of the quality of their meats, but I also enjoy their farm fresh milk and eggs. The store has a nice selection of deserts. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Prime Meat Found.This is the place for top quality prime meats. Very clean store. Fast and friendly staff. Lots of other filler materials to shop for. Why pay $33+ for a restaurant USDA choice steak when you can get prime for half?

Pretty nice, if a bit pricey. Has really high quality steak cuts and some cool exotic meats. Also has good local products too.Only issue was that I asked about some cuts that aren't really common, but most butcher places are at least familiar with. Employee behind the counter got offended and said he hadn't even heard of those cuts - which for reference, were just hocks.

Awesome line of products as far and their cheeses and sauces. Their meat products are ridiculously overpriced. I went on a cloudy day, and I don’t know if that played a factor, but the staff had no personality. Told the cashier it was my first time coming here and she still asked if I was apart of their loyalty program?

My friend who is a woman of color walked into this store after bragging how delicious their food is and when she came home she told me how the workers in the store proceeded to follow her around the store after making her feel uncomfortable. Not giving her a chance to look around for fear that she might steal something. Little did they know the person they were following was a Nurse who you made feel very uncomfortable. This is 2023 not 1954 people. We must do better. I definitely won’t be recommending this store to anyone I know.

The best place to buy meat. If you are after quality, look no further. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.Staff is always super helpful and attentive. Don't be afraid to ask about anything. They are very knowledgeable and will help you figure out what to get.

Avon prime meats is certainly of superior quality. I love their steak tips. I stopped in yesterday and bought the signature steak tips as well as the Japanese bbq steak tips and some corn. We went to a friend's and grilled kabobs and the corn. He was amazed by the quality of the steak and corn! You guys are the best! I highly recommend!

If there's one thing my son and I are ALLLL about, it's fancy and exotic meats. We'll pretty much try anything once and have never turned down an opportunity to experience something wild. The problem is that there is really nothing local that challenges us in that carnivorous way we love. While discussing the Christmas dinner menu last November, he decided to just go ahead and Google "fancy exotic meats". The idea was to find a place that had a whole Goose, but if it had OTHER stuff too...DOUBLE WIN!Luckily this place came up near the top of the list and after some brief investigation and a bit more Googling, we found it wasn't super far from us (~30 minutes) and that they did indeed have the Goose, and...other stuff. We planned a Saturday afternoon trip for the upcoming weekend.Coming from our part of the state, it was actually a really awesome drive. Super scenic, small town after small town. It wasn't until we actually turned the corner onto the street it's located on that it actually seemed like an actual busy town. Quickly found the place in a quaint little plaza and grabbed a parking spot. On a side note, this whole area seemed really awesome. It was our first time through and we were impressed with the variety of shops, eateries, etc. Very cool.As soon as you walk into the place, the smell hits you and you know you're in for some belly love. The main deli counter was over to our right and we went right up to check out the menu. The plan was to get a few sandwiches and the Goose and maybe browse around for a bit. We ordered an Italian Stallion and an Ultimate Black and Blue Steak sandwich. The polite gent behind the counter let us know that it would just be a few minutes and to have a look around, we obliged him!Let me just say that this place has like EVERYthing. I mean something for everyone. Fancy hot sauces, a whole charcuterie section, LOVE!!!!! It's just a really cool store with more cool stuff than we could have even covered. And the back freezer with exotic meats was literally exactly what we were looking for. Kangaroo burgers? YES! We started small and grabbed some duck wings and a big hunk of marrow bone.We also took the time to peruse the fresh meat selection, I mean...It's a meat market so you gotta right? Everything was on the pricey side as expected, but visually it looked absolutely amazing. I couldn't resist grabbing a NY strip, just on principle.The sandwiches were ready in 10-15 minutes and we were on our way. Being that we were starving and 30 minutes from home we decided to indulge in the car and that was a good call. Really amazing sandwiches to the point of no matter what you're there for, you almost have to get one.They ended up not having any whole goose in the freezer as it was still a month or so away from Christmas and the guy told us to come back in a week or so. Busy schedule prevented that, but we will be back regardless. Grilled the steak that night and it was absolutely amazing. It tasted like steaks I've paid 3 times as much for in fancy restaurants. Just awesome.

Bought 3 steaks for my bf and his friends, I removed the price labels but they knew immediately where they were from because of the high quality. Everything at Avon prime looks delicious, they even have odd ball stuff like rabbit and gator. Wish I could afford more tho

This place used to be great. $30 bucks for 2 sandwiches today with barely any meat on them, cold garlic butter on them? Barely any toppings at all… I’m all about spending the money on good stuff, but I have had better sandwiches at chains… come on guys… what a disappointment…

These guys rock, we order sandwiches fairly often, never had an issue. When I feel adventurous I will pick up some pork butt to make pulled pork. Everything I have ever purchased here has never let me down.Update: I've yet to have a bad meal from here. I'll stock my freezer full of stuff if and when it goes on sale.

Wow best steak tips I ever had! They have a wonderful selection of meats, poultry and seafood. I love how they label foods for various diets as I am GF. I grabbed a stick of shrimp for the grill for less than $5.The place also has a deli for sandwiches; you can find various snacks and foods as well.

The Deli is usually right on top of it, but yesterday (Sun 7/31) I had the worst sandwich I ever got there. I ordered the Wild Turkey. It was made by a young woman who seemed rather harried. Maybe she was new. It was wrapped very poorly in the foil, and when I got it home it was a thrown together dry mess with MINIMAL ingredients. Nowhere near APM standards. Also I asked for no red onion and it did contain red onion, And it was served on ciabatta, not local multi grain as advertised. Please train your newer deli staff on how to put together a proper $12 sandwich.

Great meats but less then great customer service. Had a guys weekend coming up so I called a month in advance to order 4 dry aged Ribeyes. Was told all set. I then called the Monday of the weekend and was told again all set.When I showed up though they were all out. They don’t cut until you show up, in case you don’t, which is fine I get it. But they should have asked for a deposit or something, or at least have told me it’s first come first serve. If the rib-eye sells that fast then it will get sold if you don’t show up, what is the point of calling in advance if it’s not going to be there.

This place is outstanding! I travel 45min+ from Massachusetts every week or two to stock up on meats and prepared foods. This place crushed Big Y meats and any other butchers that are in a 100 Mile radius. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Keep up the great work guys. I’m happy I came across this store!! If your looking for premium meats etc, look no further!!

I did like it better before they changed over to APM from the Meathouse. Still like it very much and a pretty nice selection of food items I can't get all of in other stores. Would give it four stars but knocking it down to one because of chronic problem encountered. I am !@#$%^&*() sick of one of the staff behind the meat counter addressing me as well as overhearing her call other customers "hon." Manager needs to put a stop to that and that goes for other terms of endearment synonymous with such and if need be I will go somewhere else.

Last year we held a Jack and Jill for my son and his wife to be. I ordered 45 racks of ribs (some of which were pre-cooked) the rest I smoked on my smoker. The quality of those ribs - both raw and cooked were the best I've ever seen. There was not a rib left at the party.I've been a happy customer since then and I've told all my friends about Avon Prime Meats. The quality of the meats and the friendly, helpful staff are the best I've seen since I was a kid growing up in the Bronx. It reminds me of the old fashioned meat market when I was growing up.Keep up the great work, I'm ordering another 10 racks of ribs!If you have any doubts - you have to go see for yourself. Wonderful products, wonderful staff!

I went to this store as a special treat! Read reviews was excited to visit, it was very expensive! I bought some stew meat, and some other items from the Butcher Shop, you'd think if you are paying $7.49 per lb., it would top notch! NOT AT ALL! I got it home and had to trim all the fat off it, I am very disappointed! I can get better quality somewhere else, and for a much better price! I had high hopes for this store, not anymore I won't be back!

We purchased beef Wellington for Christmas dinner this year as a treat after a tough year and it was by far the most amazing dinner we have ever had. The meat literally melted in your mouth. We plan to make this our new family Christmas tradition! We also recently bought filet mignon and were not disappointed! The quality and attention to detail in this store will keep us coming back!

This is a serious review. I love the steak tips and other meats they offer. But I have had the unfortunate opportunity to try the lackluster mac n cheese they offer and it is piss poor at best. My friends this is an example of reheated mac n cheese, I warn you, unless they pull It together and start making real mac n cheese you should save the 7 or 8 dollars on a portion of this absolute garbage

To the owner,Thank you for responding to our review about the blue and black sandwhiches. My girlfirend submitted the first review and this is in respone to your feedback. Unfortunately it saddens me that no one appears to be responsible for your error.The screen behind the deli read 11.99 on 7-9-2020. I forgot my wallett and had 29.95. Knowing I had enough, I questioned the total which was 30.04. The young woman said I will have to check and the gentleman from the deli came over and said he was sorry but they had not changed the price yet and said the upcharge needed to be passed on to the customer due to higher meat prices. After counting out my money totaling 29.95, I said sorry but could I get the sandwhiches for this amount. She left and spoke with another young woman behind the deli and returned saying let me see how much money is in the change bowl. This was very embarrassing and unnecessary since it was not my error. Many of my close friends in Canton and Simsbury frequent your place, including myself, but now sadly I know I will not return since Avon Prime Meats has trouble taking responsibility. Thank you.

Went in through a recommendation of a coworker and wanted to surprise my fiance with sweets and a meal, first sandwich that was given to us was chewy, figured I didn't drive far so I turned around and went back to swap out. 2nd time around I explained to them the exchange and the lady simply showed me the cut of meat and said nothing was wrong and proceeded to bring a new sandwich out. I didnt realize this but they microwave the steak tips. Microwave. Got the 2nd sandwich back and checked out the cut of meat, cold in the middle. I have to admit, I had high expectations for this place and was sorely let down. The only reason why I dont give it 1 star was because the initial customer service given to me by the lady in the front and the gentlemen that prepared my food was nice. Very disappointed!

Nothing like it was originally when they opened as The Meat House. Not sure what happened. Despite several bad sandwiches there, I've broken down and again tried to give them a chance but once again, undercooked steak tips, forgot the peppers and onions, and couldn't even wrap the sandwich properly. Person making sandwich didn't care. For what you pay, you should get quality and top-notch service.

Popped in to APM because I had an appointment in the area. It is a little out of the way for me but they had a wonderful selection of meats and sandwiches. Much like everywhere else during COVID the shelves aren't fully stocked but I am sure that will change. If you stop in there please try the Jalapeno bacon. I purchased it as a "what the heck, let's try it" and I think it will become a household favorite.

Bought 4lbs of short ribs, the marinated ones, best ribs I've ever had. Cooked in oven on 250 for 4 hrs wrapped in foil. Amazing. Will be back.

I live on Cape Cod and when in area, I shop here.Friday after Thanksgiving I bought 2 rib prime andnever have I had a better beef dinner. Excellent service, superior meatand a delightful market.
