What a great store! Very nice and clean. My biggest shock is the selection of seafood and fresh meat! FINALLY found a giant bag of beef fat to render down, and fry up some french fries, old school McDonald's style. The employees are friendly and helpful. There's also a Starbucks inside!

Convenient location. Great produce section! Good variety of grocery items - I can find almost everything I need and want. Decent prices. Ordered a cake from the bakery - the employee was very pleasant and helpful, particularly by helping me select an item without our food allergens. Beautifully decorated! A Starbucks is inside if you want some coffee to go or while you are shopping. I usually do not do self checkout but it's easier sometimes because there aren't many other lanes open. When I was there at night, the only option was self checkout. If more check out lanes were available, I would have given five stars. Customer service matters.

This Safeway is a wonderful grocery store!The staff is super friendly and always willing to help!This store has an exceptional selection of deli items, ready-made soup, bakery items, fresh produce and general grocery items!The store is kept very clean.The wait to check out is kept down by attentive staff, even during the heavy tourist season!

Okay everybody the one star is not for the store. It is for the store manager Adam. I have been going here for about 3 years now cuz I don't like any other store. But I walked in one day and he stood within about 2 ft of me and didn't even smile didn't even say hello didn't even greet me with any type of a nice greting which I think was very rude especially when I spend a lot of money there just like everybody else. I dont know if you're reading this Adam but you need to step it up buddy and be nice to your customers. Cuz if it wasn't for your customers you wouldn't have a job. In fact why don't you look for another job so this way we don't have to see you're ungrateful face. In fact I believe this is the first time out of couple I've seen him in maybe a year come out of that hole in the wall. Have a nice day....

My favorite grocery store in town, decent pricing especially if you use their electronic coupons, always clean and well stocked, and has a wide selection. Customer service needs some work though, they arent very friendly and they just stand around and give you a quick nod as a greeting, even managers.

Hey folks be careful if you wish to purchase one of the little Christmas trees at Safeway. They each have a bow on the top of the tree and there is a sign in front of the trees advertising that they cost $29.99. HOWEVER, when you bring them to the cashier you are billed an extra $6.00 for the tacky bow. That, folks, is the perfect BAIT-AND-SWITCH sales plan.So, folks, be careful. That type of thing is only one of the reasons I have quit shopping at Safeway.

I Get my produce and my meat from Safeway, they always have very fresh produce and better cuts of beef especially. Everything else I find to cost much less at Walmart or king soopers just down the street.

Safeway has always been such a mix vibe .. always GREAT selection but NEVER more than one cashier at 5:30pm .. city market always has a TON of cashiers to go to ☺️ 🤭

First, the lines were long due to 1 checker open so I opted to check out myself which I loath due to the increased prices we are paying for groceries. Then, I needed help with 3 items that were a "digital coupon" which I do not have the app. Never has been a problem in the past as the checkers have always been happy to help with that discount. Not today. A very short, dark haired female came to my checkout station and was obviously very "irritated' by my request for help with 3 items.Horrible customer service! This person does not belong in a Management nor a direct Customer Service position.Extremely Disappointed.

A shoutout to Matthew, who frequently monitors the self-check area. I left my wallet there Friday, 8/25/2023, and didn't notice it missing until Sunday, 8/27/2023. I went back on Sunday in a panic, and Matthew was in the self-check area. I told him I had left my wallet there two days previously. He unlocks a drawer in the service area and pulls out my wallet. After verifying my name, he hands it over to me, cash and credit cards intact! He had found it on Friday in the self-check area, and put it in the locked drawer for safekeeping. Thank you Matthew!

Unexpected today...a clerk walks up and asks us if we want a free shopping bag. My wife & I said sure! In unison. I saw it had some items in it and asked if it was left by someone. She said no, it's a celebration of our reope ing after remodeling. How refreshing! It reminded me of the old days.

I had come in the other day and I made sure to get the name before leaving for this very review. I came in to get shredded turkey and when finally Savanah gave me the turkey I tried to ask a few questions; I got a death glare. I honestly tried to ask why and only got more negativity. Why is it this town has so many unruly entitled people working at these businesses? They really need to train them better.

The store itself is clean and pretty well stocked. However, the gluten free selection is dismal. And the produce looks terrible. If you want fresh produce or allergy friendly items, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Also, the parking lot is just weird.

We visited Safeway on US 24 in Woodland Park twice during our 5 night stay in town. It was a convenient 5 minute walk from the place we were renting down the road, so for convenience, I'd give it a 5-star. BUT, on our last eve., we stopped after dinner to get a few things for the long drive home the next day. One thing I found that I wasn't even looking for, was my favorite decaf coffee: Peets ground in a 10.5 oz bag. I think the normal price was $12.99 but it was on sale for under $9.00. I bought a bag, along with the other stuff, returned to our rental to pack up for the following morning. SO ... at about 6:00am we're ready to hit the road, when I looked at the coffee and saw that the "best by" date was May, 2022. Well, I wasn't about to go to the store again at that early hour, so off we went on our 13 hr. drive to home. You guessed it, my "favorite" coffee tasted like swill the following morning. Threw the rest away.So, for my evaluation of this store, here are my ratings:Location (convenience) 5-starCleanliness 5-starFriendliness of staff 5 starRotation and purge ofstock 1 starI have no way of validating this concern, but ... if this bag of coffee slipped through the cracks and sat on the shelf for likely well over a year, how many other items may also be "just sitting there."

We usually try to go through self check out here, but today we had too much stuff to check out that way, so we went through a regular check out line and I was reminded why I hate them so much. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful people work here. It’s a grocery store, so it’s pretty much a do it yourself situation, it would be great if the minimal interaction we have to have isn’t so unpleasant.

Got everything we needed but staff isn't exactly the friendliest. Not really sure where the benefit in telling a customer that they're eating habits are weird when the request was simply to only have fried chicken pieces that were drumsticks, which I personally believe is common but I guess not here 😂

I like the people that work here. They're really nice and they make things easier. Although the manager still has not got goat milk in even though I asked 4 months ago. And does anybody else notice that your fruits and vegetables you buy here go bad within a few days even though their price higher? I thought it was priced higher so the fruits and vegetables got there faster. Unfortunately this is not the case

My husband and I are traveling through Colorado. We had our first experience with Safeway in the Woodland Park area. The store was beautiful and clean. The majority of the employees were very friendly. We also loved the app deals. We had a bad experience with the lady behind the bakery counter on Thursday, July 7th around 11a.m. We wanted to purchase a bakery item that had a ripped bag. She was on her phone as I came up to the counter. She wanted to tape up the bag. I told her I preferred a new bag as I was traveling. From there on out she was rude (shaking her head back and forth, handed me my bag and wouldn't release it). She never once apologized or acted happy to fix the issue. She said nothing, but had rude body language.

Lady in bakery had an attitude that I wanted happy bday on the cake for my wife so I assumed they were closing and said my mistake for coming at the last min..... only to find out they still had 2 hours till closing! That's ok, she can sit back in the bakery in her self misery all alone.

I really enjoy this grocery store because it has many unique options most places up here do not. If you need something out of the ordinary, I would suggest going here first. Definitely utilize the coupons or it is expensive.

I was here out of town from Oklahoma to get some BBQ sauce for ribs I was making. Turns out I dropped my wallet and couldn't ever find it and had to go home without it. These kind people found and have sent it back to me. So great selection on groceries, excellent peoces and amazing human beings working there. Thank you all so much!

A good place to pick up your groceries in Woodland Park, CO. Close to Divide, Florissant, Lake George, Guffy, and Cripple Creek. Great meat department, and bakery.Easy in and out and plenty of parking.
