I swung by for a one-day demo rental and had a great experience. They had a good selection of skis and I was suggested one that fit what I was looking for that day. Good prices and I was able to take the free old town shuttle that goes from across the gondola to right in front of the store (but it may not run on weekdays, I would double check).

Great location in fantastic staff. Right at the base of the mountain is so easy if you have to get something repaired or buy something new. I was there almost every day between my son snowboard buying new shoes me getting adjusted for longer skis, and then finally using the end of the ski season special to buy some skis and boots that I've never had

Loved our experience with the Alpine Sun Ski Shop. We had made reservations online which were very easy, unfortunately our son got sick and we had to change our plans slightly. They were very understanding and adjusted our reservations with no problems. They even asked how our son was feeling when we went in to get our ski rentals which was really nice. Very friendly, great quality equipment and an overall great experience. They are locally owned and operated, I would absolutely recommend and will be renting from here again.

So easy! We did a 4 hour snowshoe rental which was the perfect amount of time!Picking up our snowshoes was very easy. Simple process and then they gave us instructions and handed everything over. They even recommended a trail and told us where parking was.We ended up walking along the Fraser River Trail. We started near the shop and ended up in town (which was their recommendation). This was perfect for us and then we just took the bus back to drop the snowshoes off and grab my car!The snowshoes were super great and very user friendly. High quality and easy to use

Really doodoo ski shop. Not able to mount skis that are above 105 underfoot. Also if you foot size is any bigger than a 9.5, forget about it.

We stopped by to have our snowboards serviced, which they were able to do in a timely manner. I've been to a handful of ski shops the past couple of years and none of them stuck out as much as this place. The two ladies up front were extremely friendly and helpful. Plus, the snowboards looked brand new when we picked them up. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Made reservations online, had to fill out paperwork twice got checked out at walk in price before he noticed he had a stack of our papers laying next to the desk. Took entirely too long. Front desk guy is rude and lethargic. Had to wait to drop stuff off. Ridiculous. The quality of the gear was sub par too. Ski boots extremely uncomfortable.

I rented ski equipment from here the week of March 24-27th, 2021. Seemingly normal rental place for a ski town. I was a day late on returning my rentals and the woman behind the counter was nice enough to waive the daily rental fee after a bit of resistance. I’ll take ownership of being late to return the items (should’ve used common sense) however it wasn’t made clear to me that they had to be returned by a certain time the day prior by any of the workers when I initially rented the skis. I thought had I brought them in the next morning it would be copacetic, which again, is partially my fault and she was nice enough to let me leave without paying the extra day.Now for the real issue... upon getting home I had noticed a rash on my lower shin and ankles. It had tiny blisters and itched like crazy. Turns out I HAD CONTRACTED SCABIES FROM THE SKI BOOTS. Little mites that burrow into your skin caused by extremely unsanitary conditions! These little mites caused a lot of agony, from constant itching to eventually being extremely painful! I had to visit a doctor to get prescription cream to get rid of them which wasn’t cheap.I had sent an email with photos of the rash and blisters to document and got no response. Called the shop and left a voicemail telling them about my experience (hoping they would take safety measures and clean the rental equipment properly) and got no response. Finally on my third attempt I got someone one the phone, told her I needed to speak with someone in charge, and she said “Gigi was busy with other stuff right now”. I told her about my issue and she took down my information and said the owner would reach out. Now almost a week later I’ve had no response and have resorted to leaving this review about my negative experience.I’m a supporter of small business so I didn’t want to resort to this but do with this information what you will. I will consider other options next time I need to rent equipment in winter park no matter how inconvenient. How gross and unprofessional!

Came with the family to Winter Park from Dallas. None of us had ever even put on ski’s but were excited to try. We had originally planned to rent the equipment at Alpine and go to the resort and pay an arm and a leg for the ski lift. The people at Alpine were so nice and helpful. They fitted us for equipment and were so patient with our abundance of questions. They also advised us to not take out a second mortgage to pay for the ski lift because we were beginners. She told us about a free lift down the street to try and if we liked it, we could always go to the resort. Thank God she told us this. We went to the free lift, fell down a million times and returned absolutely exhausted to Alpine after 2 hours. We were a party of 10 and the lift tickets at the resort are $200 each so she saved us $2000. I will definitely return to Alpine. Their hospitality and integrity are phenomenal, and their equipment was great.

We (5 of us) were running late for our 4:00 pm appointment (30 mins) due to the snow that came in (we drove from Granby) The staff was gracious and super courteous when we arrived and ran us through the process like a well oiled machine, we were fitted for boots, skis, poles and helmets and out the door in 30 minutes! Equipment was nice and in great condition.Bonus!! we received a discount for reserving online! It was worth the drive, rented for 2 days, fitted and took with us, returned them at 8:00am on the 4th morning - picked up at 4pm on the 23rd and returned at 8:00am on the 26th.Highly recommended!

The nicest and best ski rental place I’ve ever used. Family owned and operated made it easy to choose out the gate and the service provided will make it easy to use in the future. The demo skis we grabbed were essentially brand new and rode wonderful. Easy pick up and drop off as well. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Great price for the location. I was between here and renting right on the mountain.There was parking right across from here to get on the bus (may be full on a heavy skiing day).Staff was helpful and friendly. There were two playful dogs as well.Gear was good. Just be very sure to get something comfortable instead of saying, "yeah, I guess it's okay." They are also very flexible with rental days/returns.

Wonderful, knowledgeable, and super helpful team. I bought my first pair of demo skis here this spring and my experience couldn't have been better. Everyone that works there is extremely accommodating and insightful.The absolute best part is that for a small daily fee they allow you to test out the skis to see if you like them before you commit to buying them. As a recent college grad, spending a couple of hundred dollars is no joke so I wanted to make sure I found the PERFECT ones. They asked about my experience and what kind of conditions I normally ski in and then recommend several skis according to my experience.Since I was staying down the street from them, I came in several times over the course of the week and tried on a total of 5 skis. The Alpine Sun staff were always happy to see me, and never got annoyed that I kept switching out the skis! :-)The GREAT advantage Alpine Sun has to offer is that they are a block away from Winter Park resort. If you were to try out skis at a place down the mountain it would be impossible (or a big pain) to switch out the skis in order to test new ones.In summary: extraordinary team, perfect location, the best selection.Don't look any further. 10/10 would recommend

I have not been to finer ski Lodge! Gigi and the whole staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful with all of our questions. They have very fair prices on rentals (ski and board). As well as goggles and helmets for sale at very reasonable prices. They also do seasonal equipment maintenance and have select gear for sale. We will definitely be back!

Alpine Sun was full of incredibly nice people, and I felt like they truly cared about my experience. They measured my foot for the correct fit, and got me all of the right equipment for a great day on the slopes. The rates were cheaper than most, and I would definitely recommend renting out your equipment from this place.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end. They will take the time listen to you if you're a beginner or advanced skier, so you walk out with what you need. Easy to park, pick up gear and shuttle over to mountain. Couldn't have made my trip better! Frank and Gigi are amazing!
