First time having an animal processed. The whole family was AMAZING- friendly, compassionate, teaching, all around wonderful to interact with. From start to finish everything went well, picked up my pig yesterday, eating her bacon as I write this and I am in love with their processing. Well worth the cost and distance! I will be calling them again when we have more pigs to butcher for sure!

Very best peppered bacon! Amazing meats! Great pizzas, gluten free crusts available! Brats are wonderful! Their prime rib was the best we have ever had! Breakfast saussage is to die for! Everything they sell is fabulously great. Their prices are very reasonable! The staff is wonderful and very helpful!

VERY poorly handled situation.The butcher accidentally killed the wrong animal. He did not wait for my father-in-law to get there and instead shot our bull before anyone was there to direct him. Then, he apologized, but rather than offer to pay us the value of the bull (that we were planning to use as a breeder bull), or at least do the butchering for free, Elevation Meat Market only gave us a 15% discount on the butchering (my father-in-law still agreed to pay them after all that, which we don't agree with, but that's another story). Then, they gave us only 8 packages of steaks, 2 tenderloins, and 1 roast (46.62 lbs total) and the rest they just ground into hambu guyrger. We've had several beef done in the last few years by other butchers and the ratio was always much closer to 50/50 steaks and hamburger (even with older cows).We are very disappointed. And on top of all that, I called and asked if there had been a mistake and they hadn't given us all of the meat we were supposed to get, to give them the benefit of the doubt. They said that we had gotten all of it, then suggested that my husband did not indicate that he wanted very many steaks on the cut sheet he filled out, which is why we didn't get more. Then they claimed to have lost his cut sheet so they couldn't verify what he actually ordered.Just a poorly handled situation in every way. Elevation Meat Market is very lucky that we are understanding people; many people probably would have sued them over this situation. We just want to make sure other customers are aware of this situation, and hopefully it never happens to anyone else.

We got some bacon, salmon, seafood salad, and breakfast sausage here. Everything we got was fresh and absolutely delicious. The seafood salad was perfect! The bacon was amazing. I wish we could have grabbed more fresh meat before we left. I would suggest Elevation Meat Market in Westcliffe to anyone who is close by. The customer service here was great and attentive. Thank you for the great meat!

This market and the folks that work there are absolutely wonderful. We get our meats here because of the excellent quality and the people who work the counter and processing. They are kind, courteous, and go out of their way to help. Example: I recently went in to pick up meat for the week. I was alittle short when the total was tallied and the person working the counter covered the extra cash until we could get back to town and to the market again. Not everyone would do that. Just one more reason to love this market and the folks there.

My family and I stayed in Westcliffe and decided to grab our cabin supplies from the local businesses, including Elevation Meat Market. The store is a small shop just off of Main Street. The ladies were friendly and eager to help with our choices. We ended up with applewood bacon, breakfast sausage links, bratwursts, sliced smoked turkey and pepperjack cheese. All of which were fresh and high-quality. It was some of the best meats we’ve had in a very long time. I would highly recommend Elevation Meat Market to anyone in the Westcliffe area.

Quality is second to none, we are frequent flyers with purchases of Steak, bacon several option including jalapeño although simple smoked is our favorite, chicken, salmon, and the Sea Bass when available was out of this world fantastic!!! The staff is attentive and helpful if you invite them for input on how to cook Sea bass as an example...highly recommended!

We have taking our game to Elevation for processing year after year and have been referring people to them. When we brought my aunts elk this year after raving about our past experiences, we were immediately asked if we had an appointment and nearly turned away. After being read our rights we were told that we had to skin the animal because they would no longer do that and we could not throw anything away in their trash. We then said we had another tag to fill and asked if we could bring that animal in if and when we filled it, because when you hunt it doesn’t exactly work out to make an appointment. We told that we had to make an appointment or call and talk to Will.Well when we filled our other tag we called and talked to Will and he told us to bring it the next day after 5. When we showed up to drop it off, we were again given grief, but they eventually took it. We were also told we couldn’t order any jerky or sausages because they were too busy. I told them I wanted as little grind as possible then and as much steak as they could cut.Fast forward to picking up the meat... we pretty much got all ground meat. No steaks other than backstrap and tenderloin... No roasts, no rounds, no sirloins... everything else was ground. We dropped off elk! These aren’t small animals and should have been plenty for a lot more steak. Highly disappointed!We were shown how much our business was appreciated and will likely not be back.

I've spent half my life in butcher shops, meat counters, and various processors... When you're as picky as I am about meat, cheese, and things of that nature, you start to see the good ones clearly and quickly.I really like the quality that I get when I'm in town here at Elevation Meat Market. Granted, as an Iowa boy, my idea of what great beef is means Colorado beef is a ladder rung below Iowa and Nebraska beef. Sorry, but in a google review you want honesty... You can't substitute a calf raised on corn and plush grasses with CO beef and not noticed a different taste...BUT... That doesn't mean for one second the items this place puts out top shelf stuff. Each time we're in town we stop to buy up a few hundred dollars worth of goods. Over the years they've ranged from racks of ribs, to dilled pickles, to rib roasts (some of the best I'd ever made by the way), to all kinds of Elk. If you're not buying from this place, I question if you can call yourself a proud American...

I don't know who is running this place but if you want a meat bundle they don't want to fill it. Pretty sad that you're ready to spend $400 and they don't care to help you. I will take all of my business outside of this town for everything from now on. We regularly got our meat from them, but they have terrible customer service and obviously don't want our business. I don't need your service to survive but you however need all the business you can get to survive. I hope you along with most of the businesses in this town drown because you don't know how to survive.

Danny is always friendly and willing to help you out however he can from individual buyers to supplying local restaurants. Amazing selection in the middle of a food desert. Try the ahi tuna steaks, sashimi quality.
