Backyard bird in timnath...next to pd..Ok, so this place was fantastic!!! 5*!!! The BBQ sauce is next level. The chicken is amazing!! And they have a liquor license!!! Help a new restaurant succeed!!! The owner is a classically trained chef at Cordon Bleu in Paris. The donuts are insane, and if wanted, can be a bun for your sandwich. They have daily specials, a food truck, catering etc....see attached card for info.

"he food at Back Yard Chicken was decent, and the staff were friendly. However, my order was forgotten, and it took a long time to receive it. I watched my partner finish his whole meal before my order came out. It would have been helpful if the staff had been more aware of the situation after I inquired about it, and then my partner went up and asked for it to go, because I was afraid I was hungry and annoyed and I did not want to be rude. Overall, I might be back, but the service needs some improvement.Dietary restrictions: They have the menu separated to GF, VG, and V. Non dairy tips are given too.

I ordered the BLTA chiken sandwich, honestly I couldn't eat it, it was raw, and the breading on the chicken was black, why? Well I think it's the oil that hasn't been changed for a long time and it turns dark so it was horrible, I also observed a man and a girl who handled the flour only with their hands without gloves ( just an observation )

I think I found my new fav breakfast spot! Got the ‘Standard’ breakfast sandwich and 2 donuts: April Blueberry Lemon and chocolate glazed. Delicious! Tastes homemade and fresh. You can tell they took their time in creating the menu and a fun atmosphere. Great service and liked the music. Only thing I would improve would be the coffee - could be a tad stronger but overall love everything about this place! They have a patio where you can grab lunch and brews too. I’ll certainly be back!

3 kids and one adult breakfast put me back just shy of 50 bones. The food is good, rich but good. We tried their regular donuts, some chicken tenders, drumsticks, and biscuits and gravy.Highlights are their fries, and fried chicken. Although I didn’t feel like the texture of the chicken was the best the flavor was spot on. The waffle fries are the perfect mix of seasoning, texture and taste. The biscuit is very thick, like southern thick.Another delight that we found was their drinks. Reminds me of Cava and their soda selections. My kids ate most of their food, and I felt like my biscuits and gravy sandwich was very heavy. So overall it’s what I would call a great place to eat. Let’s be real, if you go to chickfilet down the road and order 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals you’re probably not far off in price.I guess for me the reason I didn’t give the food 5/5 was because I felt pretty gross after eating here. I probably ate nearly an entire days worth of calories in my biscuits and gravy. I think you can do comfort food without making me feel like I need to go run a marathon, but that’s just my personal opinion. I know no one is coming to a place called chicken and donuts to eat and feel great afterwards.Solid find

The chicken breast sandwich was a little dry. Wife's chicken thigh sandwich was good, however that and the chicken we brought home were on the "black side" instead of a golden brown. This also applied to the cherry pies (and greasy). It looks to me like they need to change the frying oil more often or fry them less time. Also, you need to 1. Call your order in, even if you are eating there. Everything including the pies are made to order. Or 2. Have a lot of patience. One more thing, you need to check their open/close times before you go....they are different on different days and closed on Monday and Tuesday. Two wings one has lots of meat the other has anorexia....how do two people decide who gets the good one??? See photo.....We called our order in 15 minutes prior to opening, drove from west Ft Collins past the interstate and 1/2 hour later when we arrived, it still wasn’t ready. First and last visit.

Ridiculously Good!The dirty bird sandwich was perfectly seasoned and super tender.The raised donuts are the best donuts I've ever had.Salad dressing was fresh and delicious.All of it was fantastic. We live an hour away and are already talking about driving back some time soon.

Tried something new. Been wanting to try this place for a while now and glad I finally did. Everything was wonderful including the service. I'm not sure I'd the owner or manager was working the front but he was super nice and attentive. Food was great! Lots of flavor and loved the lemonade and homemade sauce. Fries were great as well as all the sides I tried. Portions were big and just right. Not too little or too much. Have to come back and try some chicken sandwiches or doughnuts!! Props!! Love the environment as well.

Surprisingly sad. I was hyped up about eating here only to be disappointed. To the point of not being able to finish my meal. The donuts are delicious but the chicken...the chicken! I have never had a more chewy burnt fried piece of chicken on a sandwich in my life. And for the price, 70 dollars for 4 sandwiches and some drinks not even fries with fries! other fast food chains would have done me better for half the price.

If you haven't tried here -You Have To!!!!It's a hidden gem located right off the highway in Northern Colorado. Absolutely amazing food, pastries, and drinks (most made in-house!) Will have your taste buds asking you to come back again. I found this place when I was working electrical construction in the area and it is a way healthier and tastier option than fast food or gas station.I sure hope they are able to branch out soon because I know they would do very well in other cities. They have my support! ❤️I DO Recommend!!

2nd Time here and I still love their Chicken and Donuts! Tasty moist fried chicken! Every week they have different Donut flavors( Donuts only on Fri Sat. Sun) Deviled eggs are delicious, Brussels good! I'm not a Maple fan, so I dont enjoy their butter, but their biscuits are flaky and good! The Mac and Cheese was boring to me, so if you are used to elevated MacNCheese, you can skip that side. Overall a good experience!

Read good reviews so we decided to check it out, we were the only people in there. The girl behind the counter seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. We ordered some wings and a 4 piece with a side of Mac n cheese. The ranch dispenser was empty so we asked the worker girl for some and she seemed put off that we asked for it and brought us 2 little to go samples. The Mac n cheese was cold and gross, the chicken wasn’t crispy and the big breast piece was very dry and mealy. The wings weren’t much better, they were greasy but somehow dry and flavorless, the drumstick style wings were very dry and no amount of ranch could fix it. Here’s to hoping we don’t get sick and needless to say we won’t be going back.

Amazing chicken sandwich... I ordered the BLTA on a gluten-free bun with the chicken grilled. Delicious. Also had the purple lemonade, which is really tasty as well. Service was great. The guy popped out to make sure I was enjoying my food, overall a great dining experience. Super fast as well....Update: Ate the same thing, definitely worth going back for. That bacon jam is delicious.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.

The food here is legitimately some of the best tasting southern food in all of northern Colorado and beyond. The staff are also very friendly.Most recently, we got a family meal for about $40 which includes about 8 pieces of fried chicken, a pint of amazing braised brussel sprouts, biscuits with molasses butter, and waffle fries. It all tastes fresh and well seasoned.We also got a dozen doughnuts for mother's day. They have rotating specialty doughnuts that aren't the same typical ones you find at the grocery store. They're plump and flakey and delicious. My favorite this time was the cinnamon toast crunch doughnut.If you like southern food or doughnuts (and who doesn't) we can't recommend this spot more.

Ordered from the food truck outside of Odell on Thursday. Everything came out promptly (<5 min) and steaming hot. The waffle fries were dynamite, and the Nashville hot sandwich was extra crispy and juicy thanks to the chicken thigh.The house pickles lended a nice a mild brightness to the sandwich.I think it’s on par with some of the best hot chicken sandwiches around and definitely worth a try. Could have used more heat (or the option to add some), and a little more sweetness in the chicken breading, but other than that this is a winning recipe!

We finally got around to trying Backyard Bird for weekend brunch. We ordered two of their breakfast sandwiches (the Standard and the Hangover) as well as four of their donuts (cinnamon sugar, chocolate glazed, vanilla glazed, and their July specialty flavor - strawberry glazed with cream and blueberries).Overall takeaway: Everything was good...not great. Donut note - if you prefer airy raised donuts, this place is NOT for you. Their raised donuts are very heavy and cakey plus they have an odd lemon undertone. Their breakfast sandwiches are also just OK. I'm glad we tried Backyard for brunch, however, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for it again.

Very good. I got a BLTA with nashville hot chicken, so good. Donuts on weekends only right now, but also delicious. The strawberry champagne was my favorite. Will definitely be back for more chicken and donuts.

The food was AMAZING, everything was made perfectly, promptly, and seasoned! the Nashville chicken breast was juicy, the pot pie had both light and dark meat, our fries were hot and crispy, and the donuts (not pictured) perfectly hit the spot! The moment we went in our cashier/server was right on point even though he was juggling about five tables and we were outside! Definitely going back and would absolutely urge you to drop in and actually try it for yourself!

Ordered to go. Arrived at the proper time. I see my food is ready and sitting on the counter. Over 5 minutes of serving the indecisive couple in front of me THEN after they're done the server still makes their drinks before checking what I need, which is to pick up my togo order that is sitting right there and getting cold this entire time.This was my first and subsequently last attempt to eat at this place. I live 1 minute away and you've lost a potentially valuable local customer due to this awful service. Over 8 minutes serving a single customer at a counter order restaurant is inexcusable and devalues my time.

I was excited to try this place. I was working late and ordered a meal for my family as I didn't have time to cook. In my hurry, I did not check my bag, that broke soon as I walked out the door, and my mashed potatoes were left out. So check your order for completeness. I was home within 15 minutes and opened everything up, starving. And to say I was disappointed is an extreme understatement. The biscuits were hard as a rock, seemed like they were baked days ago. You could not bite into one and as I tried to open one, it shattered because it was a solid brick, all of them. The wings where super dry, like ones at a convenience store. The honey sauce tasted like honey mixed with grease. The sweet potatoe casserole tasted like mushy butter. That was my treat and after 2 bites, in the trash it went. It's not that it wasn't to my standard, it was not good at all. The ceasear salad was aweful. The chicken tasted like the processed precooked kind you buy at the store, the croutons were the extremely hard leftover biscuits and dressing, don't even know how to describe it. The waffles fries were ok and the fries chicken was hit. But for the price I paid, I expect a lot better and I will never visit this place again. So dissatisfied that I am heading out to pick up something else now. Glad money just grows on trees.

We got chicken sandwiches and the meat was so moist and flavorful. The waffle fries were very delicious! Got two donuts for dessert, the cake one with key lime, coconut and graham crackers then the lemon curd topped with a blueberry frosting. So delicious all around! Will go back again!
