I generally try to be positive about these sorts of situations, but this experience deserves a one star review. When we dropped our two cats off (Vincent and Ellie), they were nervous but it seemed like everything was clean and that they would be in good hands. That was a mistake. When we picked them back up two weeks later, there were hairballs in the cat pen, the floors of the cat hotel were covered in food, dried feces, and looked like they hadn’t been swept in multiple days.We were told that the cost of the stay would be around $300 per cat and that we would get a discount since both cats were staying together, but they neglected to mention that there would be both a “Christmas Peak” charge and a “Peak” charge, totaling $8 per cat per day.We were also told that if we chose the Gold package on the day we planned to pick them up, we would not be charged a late pickup fee, and yet we were charged a late pickup fee for each cat. Most egregious of all, one of our cats constantly rubbed his head against the bars of the cage, wearing off the fur and causing him to bleed and scab. We were not informed of this until the day we picked up the cats. This is entirely negligent behavior. If we had known, we could have gotten medication from the vet to help Vincent calm down.As it stands, both our cats are extremely upset and Vincent has a nasty abrasion on his head that clearly took longer than one day to develop. This is not acceptable, and I would advise anyone looking for pet care to look elsewhere.

I take my 2 dogs to multiple city bark locations because of my job, but this one is by far my favorite. I drive out of my way to come here now because I know my dogs will get the best care. The staff are so friendly and welcoming! At some of the other locations it seems like they are annoyed by your presence, but here they are thrilled when your dogs walk in. I’ll be coming here for years!!

Have been using City Bark grooming services for our Sheepador Rocky. Liz is our go to dog styling tech here in North Denver and one of the most dedicated, friendly, and talented we've had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you Liz, Rocky has a difficult fur growth and she always has him coming out like he is a show dog! Highly recommend!

We just picked up our cats today. This was the first time I’ve ever left my sweet cats in a daycare. I feel badly leaving a one start review since it was Christmas, but here’s the situation, and this is why I’m upset… my tuxedo (as you can see in the photos), has been self harming himself since we left for two weeks, and we had absolutely no idea. ON THE WEBSITE IT SAYS owners will be contacted immediately if there is a sign of harm on the cat so they can ask about medication, and that they can call the vet. Whenever we came to get them today, they said “they just noticed today”. On the progress report for today, the gold package we paid for, it was the saddest photo of him I’ve ever seen with his clearly scabbed head. We payed for extra play time for our other cat, and she didn’t play once because of how scared she was. With the packages etc we asked for we were quoted around $300 per cat, and when it came to pay, we were charged almost $1000. Which is insane. I understand that it was Christmas, but when we looked at the itemized bill, it made no sense. A lot of the extra charge was because of “extra holiday cost”, but they never told us this beforehand in the quote?? I wish we had that on paper, but we don’t. They never warned us that my cat was self harming, didn’t ask for anxiety medication, didn’t call my vet, nothing. Play time that we paid for for my other cat went down the drain, and they even left some of their things in other cages after they allegedly washed them because they forgot it belonged to them. We’re heading back tomorrow to pick up a blanket they didn’t wash in time for pick up. Oh.. and we were charged an extra fee for “late pick up”, even though we paid for gold for both cats today so we could come in late. And we were there barely past noon as it was. We won’t be doing this again. They’re the sweetest cats, living animals, and the least I expected was an update if they were going through that much stress and physical harm.

Amanda is the most caring and compassionate groomer that my dog and I have ever met! We've followed her from City Bark Broomfield to City Bark Thornton (when she got promoted to SALON MANAGER) because her precision and her TLC for our pup's nail trims are unmatched! We make sure he goes to see her every other week, and do a daycare package on these days. It's worth mentioning that my dog is a big boy- 115lbs., 4 years old, and a little shy about his nails. Amanda literally has had him laying in her lap (even on the floor) while she's groomed him. She has formed such a bond with him, that even the City Bark staff has taken notice. Lastly, given Amanda is the SALON MANAGER extraordinaire, I have to call out how her menu of offerings are always pampering and priced fairly! Highly recommend her and this gorgeous, friendly facility (for daycare too!).

My fur babies, Roxie and Chewy, LOVE when they realize we pull up at City Bark! They get so excited and practically pull me in. I can tell they have fun and get time to themselves when needed. We’ve boarded and used the daycare services.

This place is awesome. We have a not so people friendly pit bull and we are always fearful when he meets new people. Everyone did great and praised him so much! He even allowed a bath😍

I HATE to write this review, but it's been two and a half days and no one from City Bark has cared to call. So here it goes. A year ago, we took our golden retriever in for daycare. They gave him to another family to take home... and when my husband went to pick him up, they brought out the wrong dog. My husband knew immediately this was not our dog, but apparently that was the not the case for the family that took Oliver. They had him for 8 hours. Right after we checked him in, they gave him to a family picking up a dog from grooming. I will say that at the time, they handled this as best they could. Which is the only reason that I didn't make a fuss or go public. As a former news anchor and reporter of 25 years, the media would have eaten this up. BUT... They promised us discounts or some free services if we stayed. While that NEVER happened, we did stay thinking that we would never have another issue. Surely they had noted in the system what happened. Welp, on Sunday, my husband went to pick Ollie up from being boarded. They brought out the wrong dog. My husband, who is usually calm, was furious. He asked for the manager (who wasn't there) to call us... I even filled out the feedback form I received the next day citing this story and we've yet to hear anything. At this point, don't bother calling. We won't be back and I will leave this review on multiple channels. Please, be very aware that they don't have a good process or system for keeping track of your pet.

I go here a lot due to convenience, but the basic business side really seems to struggle ... almost every time the communication between the front desk- grooming – and day care/boarding doesn't happen. The last time I went inside to pick up my pups the front desk was not busy, yet there was uncleaned dog pee on the floor at the check out - the whole time I was there I even pointed out it was there but was ignored and not cleaned. I was concerned I saw an elderly lady step in it - she could have slipped and fallen. It smelled bad inside in general. It was much cleaner when it just opened. I've had better more affordable experiences with more consistency at Pet Smart Westminster and my pups liked it better. Pet Smart must have a better note system. I except much better communication and cleanliness for the price. If you manage your expectations and know each visit you will have to repeat yourself multiple times, and or don’t expect what you ask for or pay for to always happen. Seems like notes for repetitive customers could really help them. They are ok-ish. They have made excuses for not delivering what you ask for - the business side doesn't seem to help them with what the employees need to be successful.

Booked with city bark Thornton as a last resort because our regular boarding facility was booked up. We had high hopes as the building looked clean and spacious. I requested to be sent a photo of my two cats during their stay and was told that I had to pay $20 extra per day for that but it would include enrichment time. I’ve never been charged extra for a photo request at any other boarding facilities but because it came with extra attention to my cats I let it slide and I chose to add it for one day. I was excited to receive the photos and when I saw what they sent I was extremely dissatisfied. First, the one photo didn't even show the face of my one cat and the other photo they sent was of my other cat mid meow, he looked upset and he had a big scratch on his nose. They also didn’t offer bedding for either of them until I had to specifically request it and still they only offered one bed for two cats sharing a condo. The big scratch on my cat’s nose wasn’t even addressed and they just copied and pasted an “update” stating they're eating and drinking normally word for word on both of their accounts. I was disappointed as I have worked in this field before and if people are paying extra for this service they should at least put more effort into it. When we picked them up, I addressed the scratch on his face and they weren’t sure what happened. They suggested maybe they got into a scruff or that maybe one of the workers accidentally shut the door on his face. It could’ve been an accident but this is not something I’ve experienced before with 4 boarding places in 12 years. I understand due to the holiday they could’ve been busy but unfortunately we will not be coming back to this place.

Very happy with this location. My pup has been coming here since he was 12 weeks old. He loves it. I would love to bring him more, but it is on the pricier side.

Our little Yogi spent time with Liz for his grooming. This was only his second time getting groomed so we were very anxious. Needless to say our minds were put at ease when we met her. Liz was so kind, friendly, and gentle with our Yogi. She did an amazing job with him!! We will be going back to her for all his grooming needs.

I called the Broomfield location and went on a tour there but they couldn’t accommodate us, but Thornton was able to take us in last minute.I took my cat Bossko boarding here for 10 days, she is very shy, nervous, needs feliway sprayed on her things, high maintenance if you will. Takes medication a certain way. Doesn’t really like new people or places. But I was very impressed with City Bark Thornton!!! They let me know ahead of time that they were having internet issues. So phones and such were down off and on due to someone working on it. But I got a pic ,report every day except 1. And when I called to make sure she had gotten her medication the first day, David had to get ahold of the lead from the night before, but got back to me in a timely matter. They are very clean. She didn’t come home smelling bad. I took her to 1 place before when I had to leave town, and the tour was good, but the exit was ALL BAD!! Lauren checked me out and she was great and very patient. All the girls that helped with Bossko on our way out were great. They all loved my fur baby just the way I was hoping. They are all very caring people and have the best interest for animals. Thank you City Bark Thornton!! We will be coming back. Her pic is a beginning and end of boarding pic.

I’ve been taking my dog Lip to City Bark Thornton for a little over two years now! He’s never nervous when we walk through the door. When he’s picked up he is calm! I like the environment and I can tell he does too. I’ve been interested in the doggy daycare as from the outside looking in it looks like the dogs are having a great time! I love how they’re open 7 days a week too! The communication is great! The grooming has always been wonderful with no complaints.

I was very pleased with my first experience with City Bark Thornton. Murphy had his evaluation on 12/29. I loved the report card that was sent to me showing pictures of him playing and enjoying himself along with kind words from the staff. We will be back.

So I'm leaving 2 stars because this is the first "badish" experience we've had with grooming (appointments and checking out are a whole different experience). But upon evaluating our dog after getting groomed....mats were left in his ears. Paying almost 200$ and not getting the mats out after a Full Groom is a little rude. I was informed she was the only groomer and they had walk ins happen, but we had an appointment at 815am and after 6 hours of grooming you'd think the mats would be taken out. If they can't properly book their clients without overwhelming their groomer, then they should not be taking on clients for this reason. I honestly feel like this groom was over priced based on the amount of mats left in his ears.

1st time ever boarding our 2 dogs her. They did fantastic. Such a friendly and professional place. When we picked them up we immediately noticed how happy they were. It’s a great feeling knowing when we’re out of town we don’t have to be constantly worried about their care. Definitely will use their service again and recommend. Thank you City Bark.

Excellent air conditioned spacious facility, great space for dogs to run and play and also just chill out if they need to. Attentive pet minders and a clearly dedicated staff that loves their animals. I was instantly set at ease with them watching my dog after talking with GM Kaelyn and taking a tour.Thank you for taking such good care of Maximum during his introduction, we'll be back!

2021 five-star review:We started bringing out puppy to the daycare to get out some energy and get him around other dogs (he lives with an older dog that doesn't play very much). Right away, the staff was responsive and friendly. They gave us a little report card on our first visit to let us know how he did. After we bring him in, he's always exhausted from playing, and he seems to get really excited when we drop him off, so he seems to enjoy it.****Update on 11/18/22We are no longer going to take our dogs here. They are short staffed and not properly watching the pets in their care. We picked up our dog from grooming and two of his nails were cut too short and bleeding. The next stay, our dogs tummy was all scratched up and took a few days to heal. This last time we went to pick him up and they took 10 minutes to FIND OUR DOG. Apparently he had gotten aggressive during play time so they separated him from the group and then just forgot. We are never told about any injuries or issues and the communication is so poor. We don’t trust him to be there and not get hurt or hurt another animal. It’s really unfortunate because I think they care about the pets but they are just too short staffed to do their jobs effectively. We just don’t trust our pets going here anymore.

City Bark took great care of my 15 year old boy. I had an unexpected emergency and they were so helpful in accommodating Marley for extra days until I could pick him up. He was happy and healthy and didn’t smell like a kennel - he was in great spirits when I got him home. Also their charges are very reasonable for the great care Marley received.

Liz did an amazing job grooming Lily (who does not always love to get a bath). She looked better than she has for years and even got the zoomies when she got home because she felt so good!
