As a somewhat regular customer, I'm happy to award 4/5 stars to SF Lumber Co. Decent selection, very helpful staff, and quality tools available here. If prices were a LITTLE more competitive, I'd go up to 5 stars. Price is my single complaint, though they aren't TERRIBLY priced, it is noticeably higher than some of the big box stores (granted, they are over an hour away, so the markup is acceptable).

I have been doing business here for two years and have spent hundreds of dollars, I have bought in the past 9 five gallon of stain at 149.00 plus tax= 160.00. today I bought the same 5 gallon can of stain and it was 2 hundred dollars. Asked the sales person about the price change and he said product price has gone up.I like to buy local so to put money back into local business. The price of this product is149.00 at 5 other stores with Amazon price of 149.00 with no tax and free shipping. To me this store has priced this product to high. Am returning it to see if they will price match or refund the price. I am a year round local resident and hope this store does not become a seasonal tourist trap just to make money.

We can't say enough good things about South Fork Lumber. We just bought a place in SF and will be giving them as much business as possible. Great customer service, solid inventory, helpful staff and awesome prices. What more could you need or want?

My favorite lumber store, James and his staff are very helpful and ready to assist in whatever you need. I also feel like any needs or request I have are taken care of with promptness and tact.
