We just left this lovely place after a 7 day stay. We stay here often when in the area. One of our favorite campgrounds. The managers Ron and Debora do a great job of keeping this place in top shape. We have done at least one stay every year for the last 6 years. We have observed continual improvements over the years which attests to the managers commitment to excellence.Dog-friendliness: Nice large dog park. Great place to walk your fur babies. Managers are true dog lovers.

We are returning guests to Peacock and definitively recommend the park. We always enjoy chatting with Ron & Debra. They work extra hard making customers happy and keeping the place up very nice. Ron did a great job guiding me to back in our big 5er, putting it in the most optimal location. Darling wife was happy to be relieved of that task. The park, like many, has rules that are in place for guest's safety and so everyone can enjoy a nice stay. They are not arbitrary, random strict rules. It's very easy to enjoy your Peacock stay. Adhere to the park speed limit, follow the established traffic pattern, don't drive thru empty sites, follow the rules for ATVs, and observe typical quiet times just as you would any park. They rake and prepare the empty sites for the next guest so that's why there's a rule in place.Because the rules are enforced, you don't have people speeding through the park, zooming around on ATVs, or partying loudly into the night. It's a beautiful location and very dog friendly.

This was a great place to set up camp for our trip to the area! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the gorgeous walk down to the river. The owners are doing an excellent job making this a special place!

Great basecamp for us when we had just come back from camping in the national forest! Sites where larger than most private RV parks and the hosts took the time to spread out the RVs since this was at the end of the summer season. The park had great:1. Dog park! Large, tree covered fenced area. Plus nice tree covered walk to the Rio Grande2. WiFi for remote work! The WiFi in the campground was pretty solid, but the separate WiFi in the Saloon / Rec Center was even more spectacular! Plus, I was able to spread out for my online meetings. 10 out of 103. Laundry facility! Was clean and each load was around $1.75. Only had two washers and dryers.. but not busy at all. Plus, they provided the times for the wash / dry cycles.Overall, definitely recommend.

Great campground! Right on the Rio Grande. We stayed in January so it was very beautiful! They are open year round with full hookups. They have laundry, showers, and a common building which was old west themed. Very cool. They also had a walking trail down to the river and around the pond! Everything was super clean! The owners were very friendly and accommodating! Would definitely stay again!

This was, hands down, our favorite place to stay during our trip out west. Ron and Deb were so friendly and helpful, and their dog, Ala, was the perfect playmate for our dog. The large, beautiful, dog park area was a welcome surprise - and the walking trail over to the Rio Grande was spectacular! The sites were well groomed and level. The bathrooms and showers were absolutely beautiful - clean and spacious. I needed to do laundry and was very happy to be able to watch football in the common area while it was doing its thing. We are already planning our next trip around staying here as our "base camp". Thanks, Ron and Deb! (And Ala!) ❤🐾

Before you read the rest, the only reason I'm leaving a 4-star review is due to wind conditions in South Fork. It's naturally windy all the time.As far as the campground, we visited all the other 4-5 surrounding campgrounds and none can honestly compete. Peacock is immaculately clean, well kept by Ron and Deb who works constantly at maintaining high standards, has great trails, water, and wildlife to enjoy. As someone who works remotely, it was great to have access to a short, but quiet wooded trail and the Rio Grande River right on the rear of the property. The dog park is better than most city-funded dog parks and my two thoroughly enjoyed the wood chip floor instead of the usual run down and muddy park.If you're working remotely, you can expect download speeds of about 50-100 and upload speeds of about 10-30 for BOTH Verizon and AT&T. The park provided wi-fi was plenty sufficient for generic online work.If I was ever going to be in South Fork again, I wouldn't question returning.Oh, I also stayed for 2.5 months, so I got plenty of time to know the park (was outside daily), use the facilities, and get an honest take on the place.

We stayed here for seven days. We worked using our cell coverage during the day and enjoyed the area at night. The park has good sites that are not on top of each other, it is meticulously maintained and has a beautiful setting. At lunch we’d walk down to the ponds and river and just sit peacefully enjoying the quiet. Yes, Ron made sure the guests didn’t have to worry about others speeding through and kicking up dust and we found him to be cordial and helpful (just be thoughtful of the park and guests and he’s fine!) we’d definitely stay again, it was easy to access Creede and South Fork activities and there is a cool Tavern right next door with locals that share a lot of great suggestions for fun.Playground: Fenced in playground for the kids.Dog-friendliness: Great dog park in a small forest.

Absolutely beautiful & serene! We all loved this RV park, and wished we had more time to stay longer. The nature trail, pond and trail by the Rio Grande river was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back again next time we are in the area.

The location of the place is amazing and beautiful. Being a neat freak, I thought this place was amazing. The facilities were SO CLEAN like out of a five star resort and the people that run this place are so friendly and treat you like family. Would highly recommend this place for families with children because you have a lake to walk around and a playground for children as well. The scenery is beautiful as well. You are next to a river and are located by a little lake. It is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever stayed at.

It's a well-maintained park that is open year round. We stayed four nights to ski at Wolf Creek.I did not appreciate the female park manager's demeanor. It left a disappointing impact on our visit. In contrast, her husband was most accommodating and helpful. Chinook RV Park is across the street and also open. Our stay was during covid, and the town of South Fork had little in terms of activities and facilities - just the basics. We also spent time in Pagosa Springs which obviously had much more to offer. There we stayed at Happy Camper RV Park which is also open year round and quite a bit less expensive but not as nice a park.

Stayed here last 4 years. Very nice park but a shame old regular customers are being run off because of Ron's mental state.

We have stayed at Peacock Meadows RV Park for 4 years. We have been to many RV parks throughout the years, and this park is most definitely the BEST managed and well run r v park we have ever stayed in, all because of the managers, Ron & Debra, who will do whatever they can to help make your stay enjoyable!! Don’t believe the negative reviews, those reviews are posted by people who don’t think THEY have to obey the rules. Because of the Managers, Ron and Debra, AND the rules aka (Speed Limit of 5 mph) are exactly why we LOVE to stay here!! This is, without a doubt, the BEST RV Park in South Fork, Colorado!!

This place is a great escape from Texas heat. Has some amazing trails/ fishing spots. They also have a good dog park where dogs really wear each other out. The RV spots are quite separated and they have great picnic benches. Amazing RV park with amazing hosts and great people. We'll definitely be back.

We have been going to Peacock Meadows for 3 years , the hosts are very helpful and will bend over backwards to help you out. They have a beautiful dog park and keep the entire park in excellent condition. We really appreciate the fact that they have a 5 MPH speed limit and enforce it as there are pets and children that may be in the road at any time. We have seen several come through the park at a high rate of speed, kicking up dust and not respecting other campers in the park, we are glad to see Ron the host stop and council those that are ignoring the Rules trying to keep everyone safe. They usually get a warning .The park has easy access to the Rio Grande gold Metal waters, and close access to Trails and Jeep roads .There are other reviews stating that this park was only partially full while others are filled .We were here at the same time and have traveled the area and these accusations are not true. Sounds like a disgruntled rule breaker to me.We have truly enjoyed are time here !!

Very nice rv park. My kids really enjoyed the rec room. Lots of games, puzzles and crafts. The river is a nice walk but got pretty buggy at times. Sites are level and spaced out but not much shade to been had. All in all a great stop.

South fork is quiet. This park has AWESOME facilities. Really nice clean bathrooms with hot showers. There is a saloon with a full service bar, a playground, a lake for fishing. It backs up to the Rio Grande and a stretch known for its award winning fly fishing. 20 minutes from Creede Colorado vía the Silver Thread Scenic Byway which is STUNNING.

With in the first 12 hrs. Ron /not a good camp host. runs the park like a drill Sargent. Comes on to you like he wants a fight. I had no idea he was the host (looks like a homeless guy ) The park is only at 5% when other parks are full. The site is nice but hostile.Look closely at the rules you can sense a tone of arrogance.

All RVs matter!! Why now Vans or Truck Campers?? My van is 100% a RIVA certified RV. Just because I choose something smaller, more economical and sustainable to travel in does not mean I\we should be excluded.

This is a beautiful RV park I would say the best looking one in South Fork. They have a huge dog area and trails around the property as well as a pond. The sites are spacious and the park is well taken care of. The staff is very kind and helpful. We inquired about staying here full time for some months, but the only reason we didn't stay was the rules. I always say that you can tell a lot about management based on the rules and for me it was the no dog fence rule and the no canopy/tent rule. When you are staying at a place full time you can appreciate a well managed RV park that enforces the rules such as the speed limit, trash and upkeep of the park, but there's also the little things that make your stay more enjoyable and a place feels like home and for me it's sitting outside with my dogs and allowing them their own space. I also want to stay in a place where management cares about your comfort and is not annoying about the little things. If you're looking to stay here for short term I can't recommend this park enough, or if you don't care about the little things I mentioned for long term. They are also opened all winter so that's a huge plus.

Beautiful rv park… We really love Peacock Meadows, it’s very well maintained and run by nice hard working managers. Peacock is one of our top favorite rv parks. It’s the nicest RV park in South Fork. Yes, they have rules as every good rv park should. We respect and welcome their rules. We always feel comfortable and safe staying here. The restrooms, walk in showers, laundry and clubhouse facilities are always well maintained and clean. Peacock is our go to every year we’re in South Fork. Our little Yorkie loves the dog park, it to is always clean and well kept. We love the park with its shaded walking trails and pond. The children’s playground is always immaculate. The sites are spacious, occupied sites are made to stay free of junk and clutter. An all around nice rv park with great management. We are 100% Peacock Meadows supporters! Peacocks managers are pretty awesome, very friendly, helpful and professional.

This park itself is decent, the lots themselves are good sized but each spot was lined with wood rail road ties which limited how big they felt once you actually parked. They have gravel lots but the gravel was never tamped so our jack pads sank down 5-6 Inches and we had to double them up.In terms of amenities their fishing pond from what I could tell only had grass carp so basically you won’t be catching anything. But it is a nice area to sit and walk around just bring loads of bug spray. Mosquitoes are terrible.Management is very involved they feel the need to assist you in parking, backing up ext. which from my experience is a big no-no in rving. Also as a woman (3 years fulltiming) it made me feel disrespected in that he wouldn’t allow me to help my husband back up our own rig. They rove around constantly checking in on all the campers. Making sure no rules are broken, they make it very well known that rule breaks are not tolerated and you can be asked to leave fairly easily.Last but not least the WIFI is a joke. We were driving in to town to get on the local pizza shops wifi daily because it was so terrible. When I asked if they could reset the router they told me no one else had complained and to just turn on and off my devices (like I hadn’t tried that multiple times). If you are in need of wifi DO NOT STAY HERE.Over all the park was clean, people decent, and the river was nice.

The staff was very rude. The camp host came up behind my husband at night and startled him to tell him he was driving in to fast( 7 miles an hour) the speed limit is 5.But he’s lucky my husband didn’t punch him for coming up behind him without warning. We paid in advance but came a day late and stayed a day longer and they charged us for late day which we had paid for. Never stay there agin; there are to many NICE parks in South Fork.

This place is great and the couple the are running it Debra and Ron are awesome people! The bathrooms are amazing like something out of a Hilton hotel and the grounds are great, clean and awesome views.Me and my son pulled in on Labor Day after the crowds had all left and we had the town to ourselves for three days. Good jeep trails less than a mile from the RV park, beautiful river behind the campgrounds for the daily walk. Will be looking to go back next year and still one of the best RV parks that I stayed at in Colorado. Thanks Dave (the owner) for having such a wonderful place and sharing with others, keep up the great work and looking forward next year to having some beers in the Saloon.

The BEST RV part we have ever used. And not by just a little bit. Service staff is just perfect. Always available when I need it. Clean showers and bathrooms. And open in the winter. What more would you want?

If you're looking for an attractive, well-managed place to park your RV, this is it! Open year round, Peacock Meadows has easily accessible hookups, clean, new tables, and attractive western landscaping in a forest setting that is just steps from the Rio Grande. Best of all, it has a spacious, shaded dog park with a toy chest and an open invitation to a nightly puppy party! We highly recommend this friendly setting and will definitely return again and again!

The best RV park we stayed at since we have traveled out to Colorado. Many activities and very clean. The bathrooms are beautiful! The dog park is awesome and so is the pond and river in the back of the park. This park exceeds any expectations I had for an RV park. Everyone was friendly; and it shows how much hard work they have put into the place! Would HIGHLY recommend!!

We really enjoyed the week we spent at Peacock Meadows RV Park. The managers and hosts were so kind and helpful. We loved the dog park for our fur baby. My favorite part was that the manager spotted for my husband as he backed the RV in, so I didn't have to!! 👏👏 My husband enjoyed the fishing and walks. Oh, and everything was spotlessly clean!! Loved it!!! Plan to go back next year. The James Gang
