I went there to get A soldering gun . The customer service was so helpful & kind. I also bought some cool Birthday cards. Ace Hardware was so fun & a very organized store. I even got some free fresh cooked popcorn 🍿. This is my favorite place to shop in Salida. Thanks to you all in the store today. GOD BLESS

Man I can’t say enough good things about this place! So thankful to have such a diverse hardware store in Salida and Jim and Cole seem to always be working when I go, and jump on assisting me find what a need. The prices are great and if I could give 10 stars I would! Thanks for running such an awesome establishment and will keep shopping there for years to come 🙏

The associate Matt was so helpful! He went above and beyond to cut and place a clear plexiglass piece into the broken passenger side window after I was broken into. They had the wire I needed and a guy to measure and cut and price the wire. They had enough phases tape to make up the difference. I didn't need to go anywhere else.

These lazy folk can’t answer the phone. Long drive to get one thing and am trying to make sure they have it before driving 2 hours each way. 30+ calls with no answer!!!! Finally o get some chick on the line and she says “let me get someone to check”. And hangs up!!!! Are your eyes and brain broken? Don’t you work there? Zero work ethic and shameful. Now I can’t reach anyone again. 7 more calls. This is utterly ridiculous! 🤬I can’t stand lazy millennials that don’t want to work and only collect a paycheck for doing nothing!!!!

I did not expect roman candles shooting out of anyone's arses. :DIt is a nice place with great and patient associates.We visit often.Three stars is winning (due to the two stars below it). Just ask the store owners which got no review at all. :DI am not really sure how any store could earn 5 stars for taking money and doing their jobs.

They have a pretty good selection at this place. However, I have never seen such ridiculous prices, even on items that are sold by 2 or 3 stores in town. If your crazy enough to shop here let me do your shopping. You could pay me and still save money lol.

Our Salida ACE Hardware store, embodies the core values of community, excellent customer service and small local business support. This store has terrific selection and available inventory. The staff treats every customer, like friends and family. If they don't have it, they'll get it. I must confess, I have on a few occasions, just gone in for a bag of popcorn.

Look at your receipt before walking out the store!!!Walked in and asked for help with a Square-D double 50 amp breaker. Kid walks me straight to it, pulls it and hands it to me. No pricing on any of the breakers near it. Check out and pay $50ish and drive on to Pitkin. Needed a gfci so drove on into Ace in Gunnison for a swap…. Didn’t get back the right change so asked. They look at the ticket and Salida Ace charged me for an additional item….

I love everything about this particular Ace Hardware. The store is clean, organized, stocked & each isle is marked. But don't worry about that- ask info from any of the Tons of VERY Friendly, Knowledgeable & Helpful staff. Truly a GREAT place to get your Hardware, Bird, Paint, etc needs- but also a Grand place to browse shop!

Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend and I had a plumbing emergency. The nearest hardware store was anything but helpful, so I was less than hopeful when I called the Salida Ace, 27 miles away. That changed when I talked to Charles, who patiently listened to my amateur babbling before convincing me that they would indeed be able to solve my problem. I pulled in right at closing time, and after looking at my broken water heater drain valve and lousy photos, Charles, now helping me after hours, was quick to propose more than one solution. Once back at the house, the new parts worked perfectly. A big thank you to Charles and the well-stocked Salida Ace Hardware!

I wish every business had the kind of customer service this store has! They are extremely helpful & someone is always available. That's a BIG plus.I read reviews that some customers thought their prices were high.It depends on what types of items, but I can say that after searching the internet for a wide variety of items needed, this store had the best prices on many of them. I admit I was surprised!Even less than the large chain lumber/remodeling stores. (With that big plus of personalized service).If they don't have it in stock they can usually order it for you--& they even called me when the item arrived! (on time, too)Over the past year I've purchased anywhere from a shower stall (same brand that was more expensive everywhere else I checked), waste basket, log rack, to a wood stove grate & many other items, with their selection offering exactly what I needed & all at much less than I found ANYWHERE. (I live on SS so must be frugal).Even such small items as Dremel sanding bands are much cheaper here.Yes, I've purchased some smaller items elsewhere at a better price after comparing, but now I always check this store's website first.I really appreciate the personalized, helpful service in addition to supporting a 'local' business. (I live outside Salida).Keep up the good work, knowing you're appreciated!

I went in trying to figure out how to refinish an antique wheelbarrow and goat cart. I was so fortunate to have someone grab me immediately and spend at 30 minutes talking about the project and making recommendations. He mixed paints, told me what to do and what not to do and finally threatened a pop quiz and told me to have fun. I've never had such a wonderful experience in a hardware store. Thank you!

The employees at Ace Hardware Salida are the best ever! Call Alexia and John, are Extremely helpful knowledgeable! It is a pleasure to shop in this store! They have all your Hardware needs along with paint Lawn and garden, tools, cleaning supplies, everything! This young Krewe of a sales people and service desk people are a great team and work alongside each other and together to give the customer a very enjoyable experience! Easy access off of US 50. Friendly staff to help you find what you need and always fresh popcorn. Unfortunately the cashiers were not friendly, no smiles, no thank you, and what seemed like total indifference. Aside from that a great place to sblp.
