Seems liked my review keeps getting deleted. Absolutely would NOT recommend. When I picked up my dogs, I let them use the bathroom before getting in the car. I noticed a streak of dry blood on the back leg of one of my dogs. I took a look at it in the car and found a noticeable cut. I went back in to ask Sam about it and she for the life of her couldn’t recall anything happening. She did keep asking if it was by his rear end which caused me to ask if there was anything else I should be aware of. She then tells me that she clipped one of his nails too short but didn’t feel the need to disclose that since “it’s bound to happen out of the 18 nails that needed to be cut.” I’m sorry but what kind of excuse is that. If you are a professional groomer it should be few and far between when it happens. The fact that she felt like she didn’t need to tell me is even more concerning because what else happened, how were my dogs treated? I also expressed my concerns about the last groomer cutting too close to their private areas, well guess what, Sam did too as if she wasn’t listening when I dropped them off. I can tell you that they probably didn’t get any water while there due to the amount they consumed when they got home. I also noticed my other pup walking around uncomfortably and would not stop crying. I looked at her paws and as you can see from the pictures they did something wrong causing her unnecessary pain. Low and behold, sam also clipped one of her nails too short. I would understand if my dogs didn’t behave well and may have caused an issue but when I am told they did great there is no excuse for this. I’m left wondering how my dogs were really treated and how they were returned to me without being told is far from acceptable.

Great staff and wide variety of products at good prices. Love that you can have your own room for the wash station. Usually go to Wag N Wash but this will be our new go to place. Just exactly what we needed for our fur kids. Look forward to getting some grooming scheduled.

Always come here for my dog and cat food. Everyone is always so kind and helpful and the value is the best you can find around! We have 5 dogs and several cats who we have to get more food for often. This is the best quality for the best price for us and we are here all the time!

Our first time here using the self wash service. Our dogs were scared but the owner was great in getting us setup and trying to making two stinky skunked pups, to feel better. We will be back, hopefully minus the skunk smell!

I just used the self service dog wash at Essential Pet yesterday for my very hairy black lab mix. It was amazing! Very clean when I walked into our room! I loved how much room there was for us in there. The water was the perfect temperature and I loved they they provided the shampoo, scrubbing brushes and towels. I’ve never minded giving my dog a bath, but it makes such a soggy mess at my house! It’s so nice to have a place where I can just show up without having to bring anything and give her a bath. My dog is squeaky clean and I don’t have a mess in my house! Win/win! We’ll definitely be back!

I'm so glad I found this place. Robin has cut my dogs' hair the last couple times and she's amazing. She not only does a great job cutting their hair, she's so gentle and loving with them. One of my dogs can be very difficult and high energy and it can be overwhelming but she is so good with him. I always get anxious coming in because he barks so much and i get kind of embarrassed by it but they always handle it with such grace and kindness and it always makes me feel better. I definitely recommend this place!

I’ve been going to Essential Pet for years. I love the all accessible tub that I don’t have to turn the dog around, I just move to the other side. SO convenient! Friendly people and reasonable pricing!

I really like this place and their services but my biggest complaint is the shampoo you give out for the self wash. Not only is it clearly watered down. But it doesn't really work. I washed and rinsed my dogs 3 times each and they still smelled like wet dog after using your products. Kind of defeats the purpose. And I know we all have the option to buy shampoo ( just like every other self washing dog place) from you as well but this is the first place I've ever been to who uses terrible shampoo for the pets and customers. I hope that in the future you can start investing on providing better shampoo for the customers. For that one reason I'll have to start remembering to start bringing my own shampoo if I ever go back to you guys

UPDATE: Reached out to Essential Pet to get some sort of explanation. I've emailed and called and no response. I even sent photos and still nothing. Seems like they just want to hide from their mistakes and won't face me.My doodle was cut several times on both of his ears and nobody notified me. When we got home he was shaking his head a lot and I found horrible, bloody cuts. He had to have been in so much pain and nobody at Essential Pet thought the owner of the pet should know that he was literally injured during the grooming. We will not be going back and do not recommend this place.

The staff here are great! So very helpful and they have a great selection of high quality organic pet products. Staff is very knowledgeable and has been so helpful as we eliminate foods our dog is allergic too. I highly recommend them!

The self wash stations for dogs are without a doubt the best in the metro area. Separate rooms with plenty of space to bathe and dry your dog. Super reasonable price and they furnish everything you need - rubber apron, towel, flea comb, pin brush to get the loose fur out from underneath the coat, and shampoo. There are stairs to help your dog reach the tub and drying table. The tubs are nice and deep for minimal splashing and just the right height. They even give you a free wash after 10. And you can stock up on healthy treats, high end food, and supplies for any kind of housepet. I've been shopping and bathing all my dogs at Essential Pet since 2012 and I'm still coming back. Reasonable prices on the best quality pet foods and treats, too.

Absolutely amazing groomers! We’ve been looking for a good groomers for awhile now and haven’t had much luck, we brought in our husky today hoping for at least a slightly better outcome than our other experiences and let me just say they completely exceeded our expectations. Our dog was not easy to handle for them by any means and we thought for sure he wouldn’t be welcome back. He was a huge handful, but they still did an amazing job and were so nice and made it known we’re welcome back! It’s like we have a new dog. So incredibly happy with our experience here. 10/10 recommend!

My husband has been taking our pitbull to Essential Pet for years. He was diagnosed with epilepsy earlier this year and has had a rough time. Today he had a particularly rough seizure and peed everywhere and rolled in it. I called to see if they could fit him in for an emergency wash, ( he doesn’t allow us to wash him) and they fit him in right away and everyone was so kind. My husband is hard to get ahold of due to the work he does and it was a really stressful time. I’m so glad they helped and were so kind. We will never be taking Sam anywhere else for his grooming needs.

OMGosh, have driven past this location for years; just adopted my aging parents' dog who needed a bath and was previously an outside medium sized dog (not so much outside anymore). Essential Pet is clean, provides everything for you, has goodies for the dogs, treats each one and there were many in the shop this padt Saturday, with care and with understanding of that dog. I was impressed. They've been in biz if I have this right for 20+ yrs. Very impressive and there's a reason for it!

8/13/22 Apparently someone was having a bad day today. We had an appointment at 8am for our dog to be groomed, we showed up at 8am left our pooches there. After almost 3hours we decided to go back and ask how much longer was going to take. The person at the cashier snapped at my wife saying that "our dog was next to be groomed and it was going to be a couple more hours, that she had our number and she'll call us when our dog was finished" so we left Wondering what the hell was that all about... Fifteen minutes later they called saying our pooches was ready, So was she ready or not? Or did she just get brushed and not even washed? And if she was ready, why snap at us and send us a way just to call 15 minutes later? Bad experience.. I can't recommend you guys if you're going to be doing that..

I have a Pomeranian. I am very impressed with how well they do here hair. She was perfectly groomed the way a Pom should look. My dog was very happy and I can tell she like the place compared to other placed I've taken her. Her response was more alive and upbeat. She was pleased too.

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to make sure everyone knows how awesome the groomer is at this location. I have been taking my Maltese Ivy in to see Robin for about a year now and we couldn't be happier. Ivy always comes out looking so beautiful with cute little bows and she is always so happy with a wagging tail. The prices are very reasonable and the groom time is much shorter compared to other grooming salons I have tried in the past. Robin really seems like she cares about my dog and is always so friendly with me. The store is nice and clean and they have a huge selection of food and treats.

Great selection of food and products! We frequent the self-wash. But the grooming is excellent. We have been taking our two doodles to Robyn who always makes them look amazing. They came back looking so cute today that I had to review! I’m picky about doodle haircuts—many groomers can’t seem to get it quite right. And Robyn can certainly handle my one vocal and dramatic pup when a different groomer berated me for having a “bad dog”. And she is quick and efficient in grooming two 35 and 55lb dogs. I’m happy to have found her!
