Was looking for a good breakfast spot while traveling west towards Denver,CO. Saw this place on my GPS, so I pulled off the freeway. It’s a few miles from the freeway, but WOW! What a find. I had the Breakfast Burrito smothered in green chili and a cup of coffee. Best $10 breakfast ever! It was delicious and we’ll make a point to stop here for another meal whenever I’m driving by. Highly recommended!

Overworked and underpaid? Caesar saladwith no chicken had chicken in it. They switched it out no problem. Ribeye steak medium was 1/3 raw. But it’s the only game I’m town.

Ideal spot for any traveler or local--timely, courteous service and delicious, hearty foods. Ordered side salads with raspberry vinaigrette, the loaded bacon biscuits and gravy with a side of green chili and a Philly cheese steak sandwich, both accompanied by fresh curly fries! Tiff, our server, was on point and gave great recommendations.Check out there specials and pies, too!

Stopped here on the way through to CO. My daughter had pancakes. Big and fluffy. I had country fried steak and eggs. Service and food were excellent. Staff was friendly. I would stop here again on my way through if the opportunity arises. Google directions were a little funny getting here. She tried to turn me the wrong way down the one way alley next to the restaurant. Got it figured out, and it was worth it.

When driving through this rural location in CO, take time to order ahead from this delightful surprise! The burger was the best homemade burger we've had in years. A delicious chocolate malt made the perfect accompaniment to the meal. We called ahead and got the most friendly service and attention. At pick up we also had to grab and go some of the homemade goodies available (maybe the best 7 layer bar in the state!)Don't miss this stop!

While traveling to Golden, Colorado my wife and I spent the night in Julesburg and had an opportunity to try out this great little café. The food and the service were first rate. I had the special - a pulled-pork barbeque sandwich with a green grape & walnut salad, a side dish (many choices) and a cookie for dessert. $9.00. My wife had the house salad with grilled chicken. Give the place a try if you get the chance.

Delicious smothered beef and bean burrito, burger, and some of the best onion rings we've had. Fast service, friendly, and clean.

It's so fun when you're traveling, to find the little out of the way places that aren't the same old thing. We were just passing through on I-76 and stopped in the little town of Julesburg, CO.The D&J Cafe had the lunch crowd in, so we thought it might be a good place to eat. So good! The place itself is showing its years but it was very clean, the food was delicious, and our server was awesome! I hope we get to go again sometime soon.

I visited Julesburg to see the museums there. Not a lot of food choices, but folks gave D&J Cafe high Mark's. So I stopped in for breakfast today. It was great. Super friendly waitress! Ordered the chicken fried steak. It was a real piece of meat! The hashbrowns were their own style, but I loved them. I give it high Mark's. I get the vibe that everything else on the menu is great as well.

Great food that is well prepared, fantastic wait staff. A real gem in a small town a little way off the highway. As good as or better than Moms cooking.

Small town feel, hospitality and taste! So happy we stopped off here. The food tasted delicious, the price was right, and the service was friendly and fast. I highly recommend taking a drive into this charming town for breakfast, lunch or dinner next time you’re passing through. Thanks for the meal!

I moved here a few years ago from Arvada & when I finally made it to D&J I have to say I was impressed. Excellent service & friendly faces. The food was 9 out of a 10. I tried the breakfast burrito with the side order of hash browns just how I like them, a little bit greasy. That is a compliment by the way. I checked out their coffee Shop & it was very surprising how good it was. Tanya was my waitress & she was excellent. I tried the pizza yesterday on a take out & it was not New York pizza but still good. I will get it again. Actually I was surprised how good it was for Colorado Pizza. I am writing this because these people are very good but also we need to support our local people especially when they obviously work this hard & put out such a great product!

We have been here twice. The burgers are really good very juicy and flavorful. However my husband got the southwest chicken bowl and there was really no flavor, even a little dang e guess a long way but it didn't have any seasonings. The first time we went my husband ordered the chicken fried steak meal and received chicken fingers we were there almost 40 minutes waiting for his food. The staff is friendly though and they do have many other good dishes.

Stopped on our way through on Labor Day weekend. Our waitress Kelsey was awesome. She recommended the "Haystack burger" and it did not disappoint. They offered 7 different pies including the "Sawdust pie" and every one was homemade which is rare and they were the best peach, apple and coconut cream pie. Excellent! If we ever get back this way we'll definitely stop again.
