They don't always have what I need, but the employee base seems much more knowledgeable and helpful than Home Depot in Avon. I kid you not, ask almost any employee a question about a tool at Home Depot and they have to pull up their device. As a younger person myself it's extremely disheartening to see what's become of my generation. Gypsum-Eagle Ace is quickly becoming my go-to local hardware store after not really trusting their quality for a while.

I bought a part and at checkout was charged $5 more than listed. When I asked the millennial to check the price he was too lazy and claimed “someone must have moved them there” Good luck Eagle County

Shopaholics are us…yes I frequent here often for various needs. Today it was extension cords for my diesel trucks for the heating blocks. And then I saw a cool little gadget because they put them near the checkout….it is now in my truck!

Hands down the best Ace Hardware in at least a 50 mile radius, but that’s also probably because they’re one of the biggest. That aside, the employees are always cheerful and happy to help, and all the merchandise is well stocked and well placed. I always catch myself picking up way more than I originally intended. Worth a stop if you’re thinking of making the longer trip to Home Depot!

Walked in thinking I knew exactly what we needed. A chain and some gas, how hard could it be? Rebecca was friendly and courteous even though we initially refused her offer for help.As I got back to our truck I began to place the chain on my bar, only to realize it was not the proper chain. I then had to swallow my pride, walk back inside, and seek out Rebecca for further help. Let me tell you, this wonderful lady has a plethora of knowledge and explained to a T what I needed, why, the measurements, and the difference in different chains. We were humbled by her customer service and superb knowledge in regards to chainsaws. Need some help? Find Rebecca, she knows more about chainsaws than you, regardless how long you been cutting for.Will gladly drive over an hour for this experience again vs the shops local to us.Keep up the Stellar work Rebecca! You deserve a raise. 💯🙌

I called ahead to check if they had the paper weed and leaf bags. She not only happily answered my question but told me the location of the item. Everybody is friendly and knowledgeable in this Ace Store. I highly recommend them.

Overall I am thrilled this store is open, it fills a much needed spot in the community. With them being newly opened there have been some issues with checking out, from computer issues to training issues and being double charged for some items. I believe they are just working out the glitches and this store will be great, it has everything but lumber sadly, and will soon have ammo (a difficult thing to find). But the staff has been friendly and helpful and the store contains lots of great stuff.

Clean and organized store with friendly, helpful and knowledgable associates. You are always greeted right when you walk in the door. I have never once been in there and hadn't been asked if I needed help. Great team there in Gypsum!

Super service, great employees. Like the lay out and specials the most. Manager Russ always knows how to translate my needs into the right tool for the job. Good A/C inside too... and the free candy...Also right next to Costco. Drop me off here! She can shop. :)

These employees are the BEST. I had locked my keys in the car with my 1.5 year old and they came to the rescue at no charge. Really the sweetest folks really saved the day.

Horrible customer service provided by Clerk Dalia. I understand we are all going through very difficult times and finding ways to keep people as safe as possible. However that does not give her the right to yell at her customers and be so rude and disrespectful to them to the point to be arguing with them instead of listening to them. Every other employee that assisted me there today was great, too bad I cannot say the same about her. I would give her 0 stars if I could. Hopefully going forward she understands that thanks to customers that take the time to go in she has a job, and that there is a huge difference between doing your job and being polite and pretending to do your job to be disrespectful and sarcastic to customers.

Wonderful to have a full fledged hardware store in Eagle/Gypsum area W. of Vail. Had everything I was looking for & they took time to look up items on my wish list. They had them on file and would order them right then. Made me very happy to have such a well supplied store and customer service. Prices are fantastic.May never have to drive to Home Depot again - (an additional 10 miles & drive time). Go Ace !

The store itself is nice but the staff is rather rude as i entered the store my facemask broke, i asked if i could just buy some in which i was given attitude about but alloeed to. The lady manager/clerk was rather upset me for having my mask break in the store and criticized because I was wearing my mask wrong (covering mouth and nose but not up to my eyes) the funniest part was that most of the staff around her didn't even have it over her nose and I saw her twice walking around without hers on at all, she continued to be rude through the rest of my time in the store glaring at me and then refusing to ring me up as I approached to check out. There's plenty of great people in this valley I feel like a quality store like ace could find someone better

Great local store with almost everything you would need for quick home projects. Plus they have sporting goods, landscaping items, even grilling and kitchen products. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly too and will help you with almost anything you need.

It's great that they have opened but when you walk in there and you have 3 or 4 employees standing there on there phones, and the worst part is, it's the managers on their personal cell phones not paying any attention to incoming customers or really anything around them. It's sad to say but with "management" like that Ace will not be around for too long.So now that I have left a bad review, the manager is threatening me. And telling me I'm not allowed in their store. WOW.

They dont have every thing but that is okay. They are new and checking out what people want and need. It's great to have them here and not have to drive to Glenwood or Avon all the time. I feel they will do great here.

No longer the "Helpful Hardware Store". Worst customer service that I have ever experienced at an Ace Hardware in over 30 years. Three Ace Hardware employees standing around the entrance/register chitchatting when I entered the store. I asked about a very specific item and was told/pointed to an isle in the "center of the store" and "down over there". Item prices where not on the items or on the racks. Ended up bringing both items to the register to get prices.Going to HD next time where I expect the terrible customer service.

Checked online before driving to store to see if item was in stock. First wandered around looking for it. Then asked for direction, then asked cashier, then no one ever followed up while I was at store. A waste of time

I went in and asked for a slip joint washer. I asked specifically if he had any “top hat” washers and he mocked me saying,” I usually use cowboy hats myself.” He went on to say, “you mean slip joint washers”, as I already had found them.Flash forward to a day later, and I’m in there looking for something else and he asked if I had called a plumber yet. I’ve had similar experiences with these clowns in the past and wish I was still living near the Vail Ace. Don’t waste your time talking to the people as they don’t know anything other than how insult people. Also, if you’re reading this, I am a plumber!
