I love this place! They cared for my puppy after hours, left his meds in the mailbox when I had to come after closing, they took call after call from me as a first time dog owner and were so patient with me while i asked a million questions. They always remembered his problems and even things about my personal life. Just all around great people here! I wish I could've taken them to South Carolina with me when I moved.

I recently went to Gunnison Valley Vet and I enjoyed the experience my cat and I received. The staff were very friendly and got us right in and out. The actual doctor was very informative and to the point regarding my cats health.Their prices for services are very affordable as well compared to what I’m use to paying in other states. This will continue to be our vet in the area.

We had the most compassionate and wonderful experience with the vet and tech here. During the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, no other vet clinics were open near us so we made the trek to Gunnison. Our old dog had a stroke and we had to euthanize him :( What could have been a heart wrenching and heartbreaking experience was eased by the calm confidence of the vet and her tech. They took such care and time with us and we couldn’t be more grateful for them. If we lived closer we would definitely take our other pup here for care. Thank you to this amazing team who handled such a hard situation with grace and compassion.

Can’t get better than Gunnison Valley Vet!My sweet yet elderly dog has always started shaking when she enters a veterinary clinic, and she usually doesn’t stop throughout the whole visit. But here, she settles so quickly and is so comfortable with the staff as if she had known them all her life…truly amazing to see. I always know Dr. Seward and the staff at Gunnison Valley Vet will provide “on point” professional care and treat my pet as if she were their own. Priceless as a fur Mama! ♥️

I cannot say enough wonderful things about GVVC. We just recently adopted a puppy (Moki) and 3 days after we got her she became super sick! The entire staff made a stressful situation so much more manageable. Their love for the animals they treat is so apparent! Everyone at Gunnison Valley Veterinary is amazing. They were so kind and helped us through an extremely emotional and difficult time with our sweet dog Lily that was with us for almost almost 12 years as she came to the end of her journey. The patience and understanding of talking me through everything while I kept crying was incredible. Never once did they rush me even though I know they had other patients waiting. Even more amazing is this was the first time we had been to this clinic. Thank you for providing the best care you could and giving me those 2 extra days. Also the prompt response to my call at 5:30am along with such compassion I will be forever grateful. I'm just sorry that Lily didn't get to know you all sooner.

We have lived all over the country and have lots of experience with vets. Dr Seward and the GVVC practice is among the very best. We are visiting from out of town and had an urgent issue. My best pal Rosie was seen the same day and her skin is already looking so much better.Dr S is not only extremely knowledgeable, as you would expect, but she is so kind and great at explaining things in a way that is simplified but not condescending. Everyone was so friendly and Rosie actually tried to pull me back inside when we left — totally not normal! I wish we didn’t live 3 hours away so this could be our regular vet.

While enjoying a long weekend at Blue Mesa, our 12 year old Border Collie collapsed late one evening. We called Gunnison Valley Veterinary. Dr. Kathleen saw her immediately despite the holiday and late hour. Dr. Kathleen conducted the most thorough examination and continued with the most compassionate care, staying by her side for the duration. We cannot thank her and her staff enough for the kindnesses shared with our beloved dog, Jazz. If not for a 4 hour drive from our home, we would gladly have Dr. Kathleen see all of our pets. Dr. Miramon and her staff were simply wonderful.We are here from out of town and we feared our dogs had contracted giardi. We called Gunnison Valley Veterinary in the morning and had an urgent care appointment that afternoon! The staff was so caring. They followed COVID policy, they communicated with us while the dogs were being seen. Dr Miramon came out to consult with us so we could make good decisions.Thankfully the dogs did NOT have giardia, just really bad tummies. The Doc made sure we hadEverything we needed so our pups could make a full and comfortable recovery.The Doctor even called the next day to check on the dogs! 💕Tremendous service, caring staff. I've had a few occasions where I've had to bring both of my cats into Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic and I couldn't be more happy with the service and care they provided. Not only were they able to fit us in on short notice for urgent appointments, they went above any beyond to treat my cats and also check up on them after the fact to make sure they were recovering well. I greatly appreciate the care and expertise of Dr. Kathleen and the wonderful vet techs and assistants here. They've helped put my mind at ease when it comes to the health and care or my favorite furry buddies. I highly recommend Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic!

If you're looking for a vet in Gunnison, Dr. Kathleen Seward is an excellent choice.Over the last 26 years we have obtained vet care for 6 different dogs in both Gunnison and elsewhere, and Dr. Seward is HANDS DOWN the best vet we have ever had. She is knowledgeable, highly competent, and both straight-talking and compassionate. We have always been impressed with her ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of problems.Sadly, we had to have our oldest dog euthanized last week, and we could not have wished for a kinder, more peaceful end--right down to the pillow Dr. Seward put under his head so our dog could comfortably drift off to sleep.I rarely write reviews. But I am so grateful for how Dr. Seward and every member of her staff made what was a very sad day for us as easy as it could possibly be. Thank you, Dr. Seward and everyone at Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic.

This place and staff are amazing! Dr. Steward is extremely knowledgeable and recognized my dog's pain immediately. she was very patient as well and took the time to answer all my questions. I felt they truly loved my dog and cared for him as their own. My dog is feeling much better after some pain meds! Also the prices are extremely reasonable. thanks GVVC!

I'm on my second dog with GVVC. In 2015-2016 Dr. Seward was a great help in navigating the last couple of years of our old dog's life -- recommending low-cost Rx options and easy and cheap dietary adjustments. She was responsive, professional, and compassionate when we decided to end our old boy's suffering, making a very early morning housecall so that he could be put to rest without having to wait until her normal work schedule was free. The office took care of everything post-mortem as well, and the cost was reasonable. After that experience, I decided to return to GVVC this year with a new pup. We've had good experiences thus far with a wellness visit, a visit for an eye infection, and a late night / weekend emergency visit. In each instance the vets (both Drs Erickson and Seward) were professional in their manner and honest in what they did and did not know about my dog's condition and how and why they recommended the planned course of treatment. And importantly, in the case of the emergency visit, they were responsive when that course of treatment needed to be changed to address evolving symptoms. The techs and staff have also always been kind to the dogs and to me. I'm happy to report that for two dogs who both really dislike the vet, they've made friends at GVVC.

Our experience could not have been made better. The care for our dog, Nebraska was outstanding; from Dr. Fennimore to every staff member at Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Fennimore and the staff showed kindness, patience, and understanding to Nebraska, and to us. Dr. Fennimore showed a level of care for her that is undoubtedly the best care we have ever seen. She is thorough, experienced, well versed in her specialty, highly intelligent, and has excellent communication skills. We very much appreciate her commitment to travel once a month, from Denver to Gunnison, to care for patients in need of specialized services. We also very much appreciate Dr. Seward who coordinates this joint venture and who we initially spoke with to schedule Nebraska to be seen by Dr. Fennimore. We absolutely recommend Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic and if possible, would give a rating higher than 10.

These guys love my dogs as much as I do! They follow up after each visit and address all of our concerns even afterhours. The staff goes above and beyond to keep my pups healthy and happy. Dr. Kathleen has sat with my sick dog overnight and even went to the grocery store to buy him a rotteserie chicken when he was sick. The front desk staff has driven antibiotics up the mountain when we couldn't get to them that day. Love love love these guys.

I cannot sing their praises enough. Our standard poodle experienced a life threatening condition which required immediate emergency surgery. Dr Seward saved Chip’s life. All of the staff were responsive, empathetic and caring. The facility at GVVC is second to none...clean as a pin, modern and better than any vetenarian hospital I have ever seen.
