They took Taco, my Chihuahua, for doggie day care with minimal notice so we could spend a few hours at the hot springs. Very friendly and great customer service. The dogs were well behaved and it didn't smell at all (unlike a lot of doggie daycares).

This place is the best! I take my dog Kimber to doggy daycare a couple times a week and she loves it! They really care about your pets and the prices seem reasonable to other places in the area. Highly recommend!

We called on Saturday morning at the last minute to ask about dropping our dog Sadie off while we visit the springs. Laurie was very kind and accommodating and took Sadie for day care. Sadie came back happy and had a great time. We were so grateful a place like this exists and we would highly recommend it.

Great place with staff that really care about the pets in their care. They offer food that they believe in and even a second hand items in the upstairs section. Make sure you say hi to Robbie when you go!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I am traveling across the country and needed to stop and get some cat food for my cats. I feed them a certain brand of cat food that was recommended to me by my veterinarian. When I walked in to High Tails, I asked Robbie if they carried this specific brand of cat food and she looked as if she was going to vomit when I told her true brand. I asked if there was anything comparable and explained my situation, and she stuck her nose in the air and told me that this cat food is much MUCH better than the one I get. I was looking for help. Not for some entitled lady who thinks she’s better than everyone else because of what she feeds her animals. If you like stuck up and snooty, go hang out with Robbie

I was super disappointed that I was called the morning of my appointment to tell me my appointment was cancelled. I had taken day off for grooming, which made it very frustrating. Regardless, I get things happen, but the lady argued with me that she tried cancelling over the past month, which is either a lie or a mistake on their part. I have access to my phone records and no phone calls were made to me over the past month. I even double checked my voicemail. Super disappointed. I felt like they made it out to me my fault. I simple apology would have been nice; instead, I got blamed for not receiving their messages, which were never delivered.

Took our pup here while out of town and the staff were so great to her. She was super nervous and the staff went out of their way to make sure she was okay, even calling us to check in and gave us an update which was super thoughtful. These people really care about their dogs and it shows, they will treat your pup like their own.

We were recently in Glenwood springs adventure park and had our dog with us; he was not allowed into the adventure park. Their website mentioned this daycare, which is just 7mins away from the adventure park. We called them the prior week to get a place for him. The lady was very professional and sweet and greeted us with enthusiasm. My Shih Tzu was hesitant but immediately appeared comfortable. He was well cared for and was tired by the time we returned to home—very friendly and excellent customer service. The price was reasonable for daycare. The timings of the daycare are 7 am-6.30 pm. I recommend an appointment before you visit this place for your pet. I would use their services again when in town.

The people who work there were warm, welcoming and courteous. They took the time to get to know my dog which allowed me to enjoy our activity that didn't allow dogs. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up and was well taken care of. I would definitely use their services and doggy daycare again when in the area.

The people who work here are super friendly and knowledgeable! Laurie is very knowledgeable about food and very helpful with pretty much anything dog related. There is a great daycare and I know they recently lost a long time groomer but the current groomer is great. When my dog was sick last year, they hosted a charity dog wash to raise money so I could get my little miniature dachshund into the vet which I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. They were amazing! There is also second hand store upstairs for pets. They've got collars, lashes, dog steps, sweaters, boots, kennels, cat collars and litter boxes, even soft claws for cats. They have quite the variety of previously owned but in good condition items. Everyone who works there is very helpful. My little terrier mix and dachshund mix have been there several times and they have absolutely loved it. My terrier mix thinks she owns the place but she's been very happy there. My dogs love the treats they have at the front desk too! Whenever anyone comes in, she will go to the front desk and sit and look up at the person who just walked in expecting them to give her a treat. If they don't, she gets upset. She has tried to bite someone for not giving her a treat. She doesn't anymore but she has before. She's very happy they offer them! If I don't have any at home for her, she gets crabby. She's a little spoiled.

I’m so taking back by the price I was quoted and then the price they charged me. $100 was quoted “give or take some of course” The final price was $190 ! After Cara scalped my dog in several places and shaved his tail. I specifically said DONT shave his tail.. I understood trimming and thinning it. He did have some matts. But completely shaving it… I don’t ever give reviews often. But I feel completely taking advantage of. Will never go back to High Tails unfortunately.

This place is wonderful. I’ve used them twice for doggy day care and the process is easy, cheap and quick. They are also not breed discriminatory - their only essential requirements are that the dog plays well with others and is vaccinated.Cost for a day is $30.Another huge plus is that they are open until 7pm. This is three hours later than the other options in town.Great to use this service if you want to travel with your furry friend! Great doggy day care.

We were traveling with our dog, and checked our corgi here for the day so we could go to the Hot Springs pool. The staff was quite friendly, very focused on what his needs might be for the day. When we picked him up, we got good information about his day, and he did well. We enjoy Glenwood so much and having safe place to let our puppy play guarantees a return visit for him. Rates were very reasonable as well.

This was our first experience with a doggy daycare and it was very easy to leave our ten month old Pomeranian puppy as the staff were very knowledgeable and communicated clearly. We knew he was left in good hands and we felt secure he was having a great time while we also had a great time vacationing.

The ladies were super nice and my dog LOVED being there; however, he came home with quite a few small cuts and bruises, probably from playing too hard but makes me think he wasn't watched closely (he rarely gets bruises and never cuts at our normal daycare) and he ended up getting kennel cough (yes, he's vaccinated) which I know is common from day cares but still sucks. Not to say that we won't go back because again he definitely loved it and it was nice that it wore him out.

My pup loves coming here! She so excited every time we go and doesn’t even look back when the front desk ladies take her to go play. This is huge since four months ago she was panicking and refusing to go to daycare. The staff here are all so sweet and very passionate about dogs! They’re also honest about my dog’s behavior which I really appreciate so I can work with her to make her a better behaved dog!

I love taking my Border Collie to High Tails Dog and Cat Outfitters for a DIY bath. They have everything you need to give your pet a nice warm bath. The tub's are elevated so you're not breaking your back and you can see your dog better. They supply the shampoo, conditioner, cotton for their ears, brushes & combs, hair dryers and a grooming table, nail cutter's and more. Their prices are terrific to boot! Lauri is amazingly knowledgable in the pet arena and very helpful. She's lived in this area for quite a while. The store also has Doggy Day Care and they sell pet food and treats, dog collars and more. And, they have a great 2nd hand area upstairs. I believe the proceeds go to the "Dundee Dog Care", which helps people who can't otherwise afford their pet's necessary surgery. Support our local business's by going to High Tails Dog & Cat Outfitters in West Glenwood on highway 6 & 24!!

Unfortunately hate the service and lack of communication. This used to be my all time favorite place to take my dogs. We even volunteered with them when they raised funds for the animals shelters. This place has gone downhill in customer service, communication and above all heart. What once was the place that I would tell everyone would treat your furry babies with love and respect now has lost its touch. The turnover in groomers and lost management leaves this place heading straight to potential closure. Maybe it’s time to retire and keep the kind loving memories we the RFV had for this place. I’m so upset and disappointed ☹️

Brought our dog Edison here to play while we went to the adventure park and played. $39 for drop in daycare for the pups is a great deal. All of the staff are super friendly. An overall great experience - and a pooped puppy all night!

The wonderful woman at the front desk was SO HELPFUL and SO SWEET. Provided me with lots of samples of food so I can see which flavors my babies like the most. 10/10 They are AMAZING and genuinely care about your pups and your questions and concerns, answering any and all questions to the best of their abilities! I have only brought my dog here once, but the staff seemed pretty friendly and did a good job at a reasonable price. I will return again. One note is that is spells particularly... pungent in here, which is somewhat expected given that they are grooming animals. I am very grateful for the later working hours - that definitely helps work into my busy schedule a bit easier!

My husband and I were visiting from Denver with our mini dachshund. We stopped at the first park we saw to let him potty, as soon as he walked in the grass our hearts sunk because we saw signs saying that morning the park had been sprayed with fertilizer! We we're so HAPPY when we found a self serve dog wash close by that supplied towels, soap and even cotton for his ears for a very fair price! Staff was friendly and helpful, and made our unexpected experience a good one!

We took our 18 year old dog in for a bath and the lady working was incredibly nice and made us feel so welcome. We were able to gently bathe our girl and even use the blow dryer. My dog even had an accident and they told us it was no problem and they insisted okn cleaning it up. Could not have been a better experience! We will be back.

Their new store downtown has awesome product selection with toys that nurture the dog's mind and body or quality foods that encourage health and longevity.Their new spacious doggie daycare provides a good service to both locals and tourists that need a safe, clean place for their dog to exercise and socialize. With both an indoor and outdoor space they can easily and safely manage dogs in our unpredictable Colorado weather.I have known this establishment from its inception and believe it to be a reputable small business that puts the needs of the community dogs before personal or financial gain.
