Nice rustic lodge tucked right off of the exit to I70. For the room rates, this is a great place for travelers both in warmer and colder seasons.Rooms themselves are a little outdated, but offer great TV (Each TV seems to have Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, etc. A lot more choices than ever higher dollar places). Beds are comfy, and I've never checked into a dirty room. Mini fridges offer basic storage for snacks and beverages. Bathroom is simple, but sometimes I have had slow drains over a few stays, so I think its just common for the building location.I love their little lodge which has a nice pool table and ample seating. They have a good breakfast of some pastries and really good golden waffles (they have been the fuel for many a positive ski day out). Coffee and OJ as well. The staff themselves are such a huge positive to the place. They take pride in helping you out, and making sure everything is OK in the room and with your stay. I have always enjoyed chatting with them, and they are never hesitant to offer help in many ways,Get off the trauma of I70 and rest your head here for a day or two. Maybe even three if you like the waffles as much as I do.Rooms: Ample space, normally with a desk, minifridge, and inwall unit for heating and cooling. Carpeted floors, plenty of lighting for most areas of the rooms. Bathrooms are well stocked and simple.Walkability: There is a nice restaurant across the street from the location. There is also two gas stations within walking distance that offer plenty of staples and food items. Down the road there is another market and a cool dispensary as well.

I have all good things to report. So first of all, their breakfast room is also their hangout room. There's.a sofa, a tv, a pool table, and an ice machine! If you want breakfast make sure you get to it early. Lots of skiers and boarders in this area so they get up EARLY. Adriana (I hope I spelled that correctly) is the manager there and she was an absolute delight! I have never met a hotel manager more helpful or kind. The rooms are nothing fancy, but for the price, it was the perfect stay for me. The shower was SO! hot! which I loved after being on the road for 19 hours. They have $2 wash & $2 dry for laundry and do have soap for sale. Yeah, like I said, all good things!

Low frills but acceptable place to stay. About 10 miles from Loveland Ski Area--can be a 15-45 minute drive depending on traffic and weather.Very basic rooms. Generally clean and modestly maintained, but this is a low budget place--don't expect anything fancy. Think a place to sleep and shower; nothing else. Breakfast is nice but super basic--usually yogurt (sometimes they are out), instant oatmeal, make your own waffles (nice), and coffee.Price used to be great, but they keep raising the rates and imposing requirements to get the lowest rate. There used to be no place beating them, but given new ownership and inevitable price increases, you can find better places at modestly higher prices. A no brainer is now very much a tough call on whether to pocket slightly lower prices or stay at a nicer place.

Staff are very sweet, kind, and helpful. The place is quiet and in a perfect location if you are backcountry skiing the hills just past Empire. (Non-smoking) room reeked of cigarette smoke, even after running the fan and leaving the window open for hours. It hung onto our clothes for days until we washed them. We will stay somewhere else next time to avoid the smoke smell.

Cheapest hotel in the area, but not by much anymore. Prices jumped from ~$80 to ~$135/night in just the past year. I've stayed here a few times. It's just nice enough and gets the job done. The decor is rustic and reasonably well maintained. A small breakfast spread is included. (Waffle maker, oatmeal, muffins, coffee, etc.) It's right off I-70 but never really noisy. Easy access to Loveland, Keystone and A-Basin, or any of the front range hikes. Some negatives for me, though. The rooms I've stayed in were all "non-smoking", but had the odor of stale smoke. The bathtubs do not drain well, so expect to be up to your shins in shower water. While there is a mini fridge in each room, there is only one...ONE microwave for the entire hotel located in the common room.Rooms: Neat and clean, but smell of smoke and mildew.

Weird stay. I was initially put in a room that hadn't been fully cleaned. Housekeeping had done the bed and towels but trash bins were full and there was mess everywhere. Deeply weird.Management apologized and put me in a new room. It was cleaner for sure, but this hotel is obviously in need of some TLC. It's an old building, it needs fresh paint, it needs new carpeting and finishing. Georgetown is a great spot and this hotel could do really well, but as-is I don't really have a reason to return here when there are better options in town.I will say: the breakfast waffles are a strong play.

We got trapped trying to leave Denver in the “snowpocalypse” in March and were lucky enough to get a room here last second, among the many people trapped in this section of I-70. Phones were ringing off the hook and people were coming in desperate for a place to stay in this small town. The two women working managed to squeeze us in even after Expedia had double-booked us. They were very friendly and kept it cool in a super stressful situation, and we were SO grateful for them. The hotel rooms are about what you expect but we were so happy to be able to stay there. Would recommend.

We booked 6 rooms for our people because we were going back to glenwood spring before our morning flight. Some of our boys were drinking in the lobby because we werent never told that they cant drink in the lobby and the boys did stop once they were told. The lady receptionist was okay but everything change when the older guy come in. He was giving weird stares. So we wanted to wash our wet clothes before out flight and ask him if we could get some change for $15 to use the laundry. He started to service us with a nasty attitude and told us that their hotel is not a laundromat where we will be doing laundry all night plus he said he can only give quarter change for $5 dollar because we should only do one load of drying and washing. And if we needs to do more than 1 load we have to go to laundromat because guest shouldn't be doing laundry since this was not a laundromat. SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Isn't he suppose to be happy that we are using their one and only old washer and not so hot dyer, so they could earn some more $$. Because of our groups, we have to do 2 loads and waited for it in the lobby at 11pm-1am. Then he came out the back storage door and just stared at us for straight 30 sec like a dead deer when we were waiting in the lobby for us clothes like we are some kind of theft and we are doing something we shouldn't. We didn't get to the hotel until 9ish pm due to the long drive from glenwood spring, so we did started our laundry a bit late but we have no choice since we are leaving tomorrow early and we can't leave with wet clothes. We only sleep here because it was getting too late or else we will have gone. This is a hotel so he should understand that guest can come from anywhere at any time, so he should welcome guest with open arms ar any hours. He shouldn't tell guest on what to do and not to do especially when they are not doing something wrong.Room stated that it is non smoker but room and pillows reek strong smell of cigarettes amd wet old musky carpet. Customers services are poor. Need to improve on how to welcome and treat guest with better care. Breakfast is a joke. Just some waffle with muffins. We met Lisa on the morning when we came down to breakfast and she was the only good about this hotel. She is a wonderful lady!I will not recommend this place unless you are out if choice like us. Book somewhere if you want to be treat better.

I have never bother to write a review before but there’s always a first for everything. ONE OF THE WORSE HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT!!! Hotel said it was open 24/7 but the moment we walked in, the front desk staff already giving us some kind of attitude (old with white/gray hair). Could already tell she was racist. There were a bunch of us about 13+ people and we came back from the Hot Springs. We arrived around 9-10pm and all of our clothes were wet, hoping that we can use the washing machines. Also, we drove for hrs so we didn’t get to eat, so when we got there we started heating up some of our old food. Again, the lady was giving weird vibes to us already but didn’t say anything. She finally left from work and a big fat white dude came to replaced her. We asked to exchange $15 for coins, the big fat white dude told one of us that this place isn’t a laundromat and if we want to do our clothes then we need to find a laundromat. Rude. If the washing machines aren’t for washing clothes then what’s the point of having it. We decided not to return the nasty attitude back to him and went to the dollar tree across the hotel and grabbed some laundry detergents and exchange money for coins. Each time we walked passed, the big fat white dude be giving us attitude, again we continued to ignored it. Because we came in so late, our clothes was taking longer to dry, so we were playing card games as we wait for our clothes to dried. We weren’t even that loud and remembered to keep our voices down. The big fat white dude somehow came through one of the door and we all turned to see who it is and found him staring at us like we were some kind of thieves/ or that we were gonna rob their ugly, smelling hotel. He stared at us for a good 5-10 seconds. So racist!!! Then, he walked off without saying anything and walked to his car and drove his car around probably hoping to find one of our people to report about. Then, he came back and continued to stared at us like some kind of creep. Each time we walked to checked if our clothes were dry he would stared at us. I’m sorry mister but you look more like a thief than we do!The hotel weren’t even nice. It smelled like weed, musky, cigarettes. The room weren’t even clean. Overall, find some place else.

Had our reservation canceled because of an employee mistake. Then when we tried to rectify the situation and possibly change days we were told we didn't understand how hotels work and were told never to return. We have been patrons of this hotel for years. The most recent owners definitely have a rude way of dealing with people. Including a manager that claims to be the owner until put on the spot. We tried to get an explanation for why we were essentially 86ed from this hotel and were never given an answer. Then when we asked that the owner contact us to try to clear this up we were told that wasnt possibly. Definitely the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a reservation problem. Also side note we have lived here our whole lives we get the room for my mother when she comes to visit. She has stayed here too many times to count and this is how we were treated.

The good: Proximity to downtown, walking distance to it. Comfy Memory Foam mattress, though on the firm side. Big screen TV with streaming apps. The bad: Had to reduce ratings by 1 star for poor communication and customer service. When booking, we requested a quiet King room in the back, away from freeway traffic noise and on the top floor with views. Did not receive any reply to it and when we got there, they had assigned us a room on the ground floor, closest to the freeway, saying that those were the only King rooms available! They could have offered us a room with 2 queen beds instead in the back as alternative as they were hardly full.Breakfast was offered only until 9am, even on a weekend, while other hotels offer until 11am. Not many options either, mostly all carb with no keto/protein options such as simple boiled eggs and/or cheese.Response from Owner stating that they could not do anything as it was a "third-party reservation" is completely misleading. Messages are sent through 3rd party apps and the least you can do is RESPOND! Lack of communication is not excusable and the bottom line is that it is your hotel, not the 3rd party so this is just an excuse for poor communication and customer serice!

Nice simple comfort right off the hwy. This is a locally owned and operated hotel and it shows! Very helpful and friendly staff and an aesthetic that fits right in in Georgetown. Clean and quiet rooms (with ceiling fans!!) right next to the highway so it’s super easy to get on the road and up to the ski hill. Surprisingly quiet, you’d never know one of the countries major hwys was right next to you if you hadn’t just turned off of it! They also have one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever seen (for a free hotel breakfast anyway). This may not be a luxurious place, but thats a selling point in my book! Highly recommendedRooms: Nice rooms, nothing fancy in and of itself, but they have ceiling fans; and THAT is a game changer in room comfort!

We spent a night at this motel in late July of this year. And were quite happy, The rooms were clean, the beds were, comfortable and everything in the room, from the TV to the Wi-fi worked great. My wife has difficulty walking and the manager went out of her way to make sure we got a ground floor room with close parking, thank you. No complaints at all. The price was good for the area, and we had a good quiet night's sleep before crossing the divide.

Near the freeway. Old motel 6 converted into a free standing motel. The first room was on the ground floor but the bathroom shower handle was broken. Then moved to the upper floor with no elevator so had to chug the large ice box and 3 carry on luggage a flight of stairs. Not convenient or easy. Breakfast is terrible. No eggs, or toast or cornflakes. Had waffles, Greek yogurt, coffee and the pastries were not freshly baked but a day or few days old. Skipped breakfast the second day. Gas station, visitor's office, and grocery store all very close by, in fact walking distance. The person at the reception, John was pleasant and helpful but his replacement was not so. The room was not cleaned properly, especially behind the floor at the headboard of the bed. Price is grossly over priced for the value. A little stingy with the amenities and towels. For the price could have stayed at the better casinos at Blackhawk. Blackhawk is only 45 minutes away from Georgetown. Georgetown is a beautiful place to visit and enjoy the clean mountain air and less traffic or pollution.Rooms: Motel 6 type of rooms. Nothing special. Very much overpriced by at least 150 percent.

Correct rooms for the price.Poor rating because of the rudeness of Jose. The breakfast was very light and I couldn't eat anything. There's no coffee in the rooms so as I filled up my thermos which holds 4 cups of coffee, he complained to me that there's no coffee because of people like me. I explained I wasnt eating anything but he insisted. Very rude!

Outstanding at the human level and as an establishment. Very clean rooms and great coffee. One of the places locally owned that just have good people working for them. We will seek you out on our next adventure, hopefully this time with 4 good tires. Even someone else in the parking lot mentioned," man this place is a great value."Thanks again guys!
