My puppy recently needed surgery due to a foreign object he seemed to of ate and digestion caused extreme irritation. The staff was so helpful and encouraging from start to finish. They got us in right away, made him feel comfortable and took good care of him. The price was also reasonable and the staff helped us with financing through carecredit.

Our Lil Smokey Boy saw Dr. Robin's and very impressed. Being a new vet with us just moving, she made our little dog comfortable. I highly recommend Carbon Valley VET Clinic.

Super rude and unprofessional. I had a confirmed appointment for my dog today and when I showed up (on time, if not early for my appointment, by the way) I walked in the door with my dog and my two toddlers in tow (I am also 4 months pregnant so getting everyone ready and in the car is no easy task these days). I politely greeted the man who was sitting behind the front desk. I was not greeted back, but was immediately told that I was at the wrong place and that I probably had booked at a vet clinic somewhere else. He didn’t even look us up in the system before he made that claim. I told him this is definitely where I made my appointment and then I gave him my number to look up and he quickly said sorry wrong place and that he had no record of my dogs name or number on file. I was very confused because this is definitely where I booked my appointment. I double checked the phone number, name, and location before I arrived. I even have a record in my phone log of calling them to schedule this appointment one week ago because my kids and I were sick and I needed to reschedule our original one. I was not confused unless there are two Carbon Valley Veterinary’s in Firestone, CO (that’s a rhetorical question, by the way). The man seemed very irritated and as a result, now I am too. He did not offer to help or reschedule an appointment. Very unprofessional. The whole experience was very bizarre and off putting. I came all the way here only to be rudely turned away for no apparent reason. So now I have booked with another vet in the area and they were kind, helpful, and friendly (and had no traces of bees in their bonnets for no apparent reason). I will NOT recommend Carbon Valley Veterinary Hospital to any of my many dog owner friends or clients.

The doctor was so good with my dog. He is usually nervous at the vet but she put him at ease and he was so comfortable with her. Highly recommend the clinic.

One of my dogs was seen at this vet twice (should have only been once). First, the receptionist did not remember or even write down my information, because whenever I called, she would always forget. Second, I asked for the vet who saw my dog (Murphy) to call me, so that we could get on the same page regarding my dog’s needs. The vet never called me. Not sure if the vet was busy, or the receptionist forgot (again).Also, I’m not a vet and don’t claim to know everything, but I do know that heart worm is a pretty serious sickness when contracted by a dog. I don’t understand why the vet would option a heart worm test and treatment.

We just moved to the area from out of state with our 3 cats. Shots were due around time for the trip; however, in order not to stress them waited till we arrived. Today took 2 of our cats in for their vaccinations. The front desk receptionist took us into a room and assisted us with filling out the paperwork. Very personable and helpful. Our Vet Tech was Josh. He cane in, helped ease Bella n Russell out of kennels and took their weight on the floor. They explored and felt at ease. Our Veterinarian was Dr. Romans. She was fantastic! Spoke softly, and moved slowly, gave them pets. She brought in a plastic basket with a towel in it. Bella is shy and can be cranky. She went right into the basket and only growled once at the belly check. Dr. Roman gave her shots and Bella didn't even flinch.Russell is outgoing and took his. Never seen such a smooth administration of shots. Got our tags and chatted.We had been with our Vet in another state 11 years through good health, sickness loss, and had a long relationship. Finding a new Vet is hard. So far I am very pleased with my first experience here. I will bring Mikey in for his shots January.

No call back for my pup Bravo. I don't care if the phone isn't answered. But you have the responsibility to call back within a reasonable time to follow up, especially if a customer leaves a voice mail. Unfortunately, I've reached out twice for Bravo on a dental cleaning and tooth pulling and left a detailed message. Pups face was swollen and was seeking local vet support, as a local business owner and native local. Bummer.

What a pleasant experience I didn't have to wait long the doctor and the tech both helpd me with information my cat was diagnosed correctly after I was told two weeks ago it was going to cost me over $1,000 to fix his mouth when that wasn't even the problem I'm so grateful to this Clinic I'm glad I came here I will definitely be back.

We took our dog there for kenneling for a last minute trip. We also had them trim her nails. The office staff was efficient and knowledgeable and helpful. When we picked up our dog she seemed to be well taken care of. We are appreciative of the last minute kenneling and would highly recommend.

The staff here has been amazing to my fur baby. We went in to check out a bladder issue for him and they have been so friendly and accommodating. They have made the vet process as painless as possible. They also have a great amount of availability to work with which has been so helpful. Carbon valley will be our new home for any future vet appointments.

I have been going to this vet clinic since 2001. I took my senior dogs in for their annual exam. I saw a different vet, Dr. Warren, today. I am very pleased and would recommend her to anyone. What should have been a routine visit turned into a 1 hr 15 min visit. She listened to my concerns and wasn't in a hurry to get me in and out. I felt confident that my boys received top notch care today. Thank you Dr. Warren. Thank you for caring and thank you for taking extra time with my babies to make sure they are properly cared for.

They are very helpful and care about your animals. I had to put my sweet kitty to rest because she had liver cancer. It was very hard but they let you stay and hold her. Didn’t rush you. Dr. Warren was so caring and treated my fat boy with respect. She didn’t body shame him at all. In fact, she said he had a cute face even being overweight by 30 pounds. 10/10 recommend! And also put him on a reasonable diet and gave us great advice on how to get him fit and slim.

This place is amazing they saved my pup loki from a terrible dangerous parasite when other vets would say it just giardia, they saved her life, and now in her elder years they still are amazing care for her, and now we take our new baby boston terrier there too she is in love with all the vets, you can tell when you animals are comfortable with a vet tech they are a great person, and amazing sweet people work here.

My cat hates going to the vet but he loves Dr. Palomares (not to mention the snacks she spoils him with). Even though we arrived fifteen minutes early, Dr. Palomares saw us right away and provided exceptional care for my little guy. You can tell that she has a special connection with animals, and the team she works with is awesome as well: close knit, courteous, and highly professional. I'd recommend Dr. Palomares and her team to anyone!

The staff here is kind, thorough, and cares so much about our sweet pets. I have been to many clinics that rush us or have not done their due diligence to ensure their kidneys stay healthy on their current medications while the staff here takes all the time we need. All of the technicians, as well as Dr. Warren and Dr. Palomares are so good to my babies and incredibly fair with their prices. I wasn't impressed; the front desk staff was rude when both arriving and leaving. Not making eye contact, not smiling, ignoring you and then asking you to repeat yourself multiple times because they were texting while you were talking. The receptionist also took a phone call IN THE MIDDLE of my payment and questions... some ding dong too lazy to be there in person is getting preferential treatment??! Next, I wasn't impressed with the vet. She was forcing unsolicited advice about diet for my dog - she went on and on about avoiding "grain free" foods. That's fine, but "grain free" is really ambiguous (I'm a food scientist by trade focusing on product development). When I asked more in-depth questions about what ingredient(s) in these dog foods were the issue, she clearly didn't know and beat around the bush for awhile. She responded the way a know-it-all would respond; afraid to admit they don't know something and would prefer to BS you to maintain the illusion of being the smartest person in the room. It frustrated me because she's forcing advice down people's throats that's based on some click bait article she read as opposed to having done her own research and/or seen the effects of "grain" vs "non-grain" diets first hand. My visit was months ago and it's still bothering me! I'll probably go back to my Boulder vet even though it's much further away.

I’ve been going here with my dogs for years. The staff is kind, generous, and patient. They truly care about the animals they serve. They went out of their way to help me when my 11 year old dog Brutus was injured, and ultimately had to be euthanized. I am so grateful for their sincere empathy and compassion.
