Just moved to South Park and getting started on some projects; the staff here is the best I've ever worked with. You can come here and be completely set up for whatever you need. It was a totally different experience from the big box stores, where it's oftentimes fend for yourself. They fill up propane by the gallon, too.

I’m not sure that I have ever had a store employee talk to me like that or choose a aggressive tone, but it’s been a long time if so… Middle-age guy in a black shirt was extremely rude. My business is doing work close to their store and stopped in for $75 worth of product….we’ll find somewhere else where customer service is available. I will forever get my supplies ahead of time in Buena Vista before going to Fairplay!

Great employees that know what they’re doing. Typical of a town where common sense is throughout, which is hard to find these days unfortunately. My go to for any common tools I need for my work as a land surveyor.

So happy!! Thank you Cathy and Quinten. Called at 730 am they were open, lots of snow. She looked and made sure they had sand bags I needed for weight.. Total customer satisfaction. Thank you so much, will be nice to return back and look at all other things I need.really appreciated the kind service, friendly staff, clean and loaded it for me. Ace IS THE PLACE!!

I have been into ace hardware all over the country and this Ace is my favorite. It is not the fanciest Ace Hardware I’ve ever been in nor is the newest Ace, But it’s the best!! The people there make it the best they have pride in their store and they care, I have even been given help assembling things from employees at that store. I have been going to that store for over 7 years now, and they either always have what I asked for or they will come up with something comparable to get me by. It’s the HomeTown atmosphere that I love. The manager obviously knows what they are doing. Thank you to all the cool people that work there my last visit was Feb 6th 2022 for pluming supply’s FairPlay is the closest town to me.

they are hiring at the moment, and if you were thinking of working here I would rethink it if you don't want Karen managers and just an overall bad system for running there store definitely would say go somewhere else there are so many small businesses with much more friendly staff& management with the same if not better pay, just something to think about before making a regretful decision

I normally enjoy shopping at ALL Ace Hardwares. But, after two runs with one employee in Fairplay - I'm leaving a 2 star rating.On my second occurrence - I walked out of the store after trying to "defuse" the manager: employee that was making a scene with other employees. In my kind wording to the employee I said, "I'm new here and I don't want any issues here. . " The fact that I felt the need to validate myself to the employee making me embarrassed.. is not acceptable.As a PTSD Military Veteran- I find it disrespectful that I felt the need to walk out because of this person - who clearly thinks she's above everyone and needs to make a customer feel embarrassed for needing solutions. On another visit to the store- this employee was rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing after dealing with another customer. Clearly- she might be in the wrong field... If helping people annoys her.( I took a week before writing this - making sure that my emotions from the event wouldn't effect my bias).I hope to return to the store with no issues from said employee in the future. Next issue I encounter with her - I'll be speaking with a General Manager.

Sells products with what they consider damage and won't honor the returns. Manager Kim pressured employee who helped me load the material into blaming customer. This was my first return to this location, and I now see how they handle business.

For a small town store these guys have a ton of things you might need for your project. I find it much easier than going to the big box stores and the extra few cents I spend supporting local is worth it... and Sue is always a friendly smiling face!

Usually a really good place, staff becoming extremely rude. Went in Tuesday 4-14 at 9:30am. I walk up to an empty counter and cashier pushed me aside for a customer who was walking thru the store, she yeld at to him and he came to the counter. I'll drive to buena Vista from now on. That sucked

I always enjoy my visit to Ace. The “old guard” there are friendly and fun to chat with. Though their inventory is not as large as a big box store, they usually have what I need to complete my home projects...and save me a trip to Dillon.
