Dr. Denny Simonton and the staff are the most caring and professional staff in our area. Denny is a skilled and seasoned professional and his ability to make sense of your options while being sensitive and caring is as good as it can be. I’m very grateful for the team’s expertise, loving nature, and professionalism. The prices are fair and worth every penny for your loved ones. I can’t recommend them enough.

My dog was acting pretty sick, but I attributed his symptoms to a switch in dog food that we had recently done. This was a Friday night. The next morning he wasnt feeling much better, so my wife and I took him to the vet. They were able to see him no problem on a Saturday morning. They attributed his symptoms to switching his food and a little bit of eating something he probably shouldnt have. He didnt get much better over the weekend and we planned to take him in early Monday morning. Before I got a chance to call for an appointment, the office called to check in on my dog. That showed me right away that Castle Peak Vet cared alot about my dog. We took him in the get XRayed and sure enough he had some severe blockage in his stomach and intestine. They got him into emergency surgery and they were able to remove the blockage. It was a really scary time for my wife and I because we weren't sure if we were going to lose our dog or not. But Dr. Simonton and his team were outstanding in the amount of care they gave our dog. After the surgery they kept him a couple of days to ensure there weren't any complications and then released him to us with thorough instructions on how to ensure his surgical sight didnt get infected and that we could manage his pain at home. It's now been over a week and our dog is back to his old self (with a nee belly scar of course, but that's better than the alternative!) I cant recommend Castle Peak Veterinary Services enough. They took good care of our dog and made sure we were informed on what was happening at every step of the way.

We had an emergency with our pup and these were the only vets in town that would squeeze us in. They took great care of our little girl and us. Kind, informative and great to work with. We recently had to get some stitches in her paw and same story. Went in for a routine appointment and just asked them to look at her foot. They recommended the stitches and got it done very quickly. Highly recommended.

I took my dog in after he was attacked by another dog. Dr Foster was very rude with me. She screamed at me on the phone after I asked for an itemized list of the cost of services because the price seemed very high. She told me that they are the only vet in the valley that will take a dog so last minute and could charge whatever’s they wanted. She threatened me and I asked to pick my animal up. When I picked my dog up she would not even prescribe him an antibiotic. She showed she doesn’t care about animals or the needs of animals and only making money. Find another vet that is honest and priced fairly.

So just beware, they are unable to give accurate quotes. So if you get a quote for service, get it in writing! They told us it would be around $450 to euthanize my old boy, but when the bill came it was actually $650! They promised me it would not be billed as an emergency service, but there was an emergency charge on there. It was $79. I asked to have the $79 removed. They refused. I should have asked for $200 refunded since the quote was so far off! I just wanted the emergency charge removed because it wasn’t an emergency, and had I known they would charge me for that, I would have scheduled it for a different day. Regardless, the front desk woman, Jackie, told me she would ask the owner about refunding the $79. I heard nothing. Not a phone call to follow up, nothing. Two weeks go by and I hadn’t even heard whether or not my dog’s ashes were back. So I called and they were, but no one bothered to call me. They said, “sorry, someone was supposed to call.” I used to work at a veterinary hospital and we had dedicated quotes to hand out for specific procedures like euthanasia and dental cleanings. It specifically said in those quotes that the price could fluctuate by $50-100 but at least it was a ballpark. Kind of surprised they don’t follow the same or similar business practice. Instead, they like to give quotes and charge for $200 over! The front desk person showed little remorse and refused to own up to her mistake, even though she remembered specifically telling me that there WOULD NOT be an emergency charge. Pretty sad business practices. Also, if I’m going to spend $650 to euthanize my dog, the least they could do is send a card. That is something we always did at my veterinary hospital, whether or not the client was established or walked into our office that day. I should also warn that if you expect to utilize their Edwards location (which is why I picked this clinic in the first place), they will only do routine exams and vaccinations there. And, it’s likely the front desk staff will screw up your appointment and you will show up in Edwards only for you to find out they put you down for an appt in Eagle. Regardless, I have been a dog owner for over 25 years and usually have 2 dogs at a time so they lost my business. I will be ensuring I tell everyone I know to avoid Castle Peak at all costs unless they don’t care about being screwed over! It is so hard to find good veterinary care in this valley!

Our family dog of about 16 years got really sick over night, we immediately called Castle Peak and they were more than willing to see us.After we arrived, they took Chachis in first and shortly called us in.The entire visit was very heart warming, they were very sweet and gentle with her. After she passed, the vet tech Annie was still very gentle with how she handled Chachis and it made my heart happy to see how amazing they are with pets. They made this experience easier and even assured us that she was happy and resting now.

Words can not describe what I feel about Castle Peak Vet. All these guys and gals are the best in the county. You have taken care of our pup for years. Emergency services, routine check ups when Dr Denny crawled around on the floor, frantic phone calls when we needed help, and the dreaded end of life experience. Dr Foster and Kelley came to our home, on a Saturday, at a moments notice to help us say goodbye the right way. They were professional, compassionate, and most importantly “there”. They cried with us and let us take our time. Nothing was rushed or forced. When I came in to pick up the ashes I was greeted with a tearful hug. These people have become my family. These people are the kindest, warmest, most professional I have dealt with. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What an amazing practice! Can't say enough good things about Dr. Conlin and his staff. They seemed happy to work me into their schedule with a minor emergency my cat sustained. Better yet, they didn't charge me a whole paycheck for all the services they provided. I actually felt they should have charged me more! Found a new vet for both of my cats! Please consider them for your pet!!

It is a blessing in life to know that your family member that you love so much is in excellent excellent care with Castle Peak Vet! They have been a valued member of our Lives since the early 90s. My daughter even brings her dogs and kitty down all the way from Leadville. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable but they are compassionate, friendly, practical, caring, genuine, and always available in an emergency. You can also depend on their boarding facilities. From the office gang, to the techs, to the vets, to the owners it is truly truly a blessing to work with them through all of the joys and even in all of the sadness.... They have always been there! I love these guys. Knowledgeable, professional, compassionate. They have been there for two (planned) litters of puppies, helping our older fur-babies (two cats and two dogs) and, sadly, a 12 week old puppy, cross The Bridge (and cried with us each time), and all life-stages inbetween. And one of the things I love the most is their willingness to refer you to a specialist, if need be! (Not all vets are willing to do that.) Everyone on the staff is wonderful!

The staff is very caring and responsive. Our corgi had a giant growth, so we called on a Friday afternoon, and they were able to squeeze us in that next Tuesday for a removal. I love that they call the day after a procedure to check on them.

About 4 years ago my cat was attacked by a dog. He died in my arms twice. He's an old cat and we didn't think he would make it. Their excellent care and live brought him back to me. He's now 17 years old and as sweet as ever. Thank you for your love and compassion for my sweet kitty. Bert Ransom

This is where I take my pups, but be careful the female vet here always is trying to add more things onto your bill. The male vet is much better and tells you exactly what you do and don’t need. My dog nearly died from an allergic reaction and she told me I have to still keep giving her the vaccine. Not gonna happen.

Luckily they were available on a Saturday for minor ear stitches. Supposedly, stitches would dissolve - 3.5 weeks later and procuring an apt to remove stitches has been a challenge. In my opinion not very good customer service. I paid dearly for the initial visit!!!

Have been going to this place for about 2 years now. This morning I went in and was just taken back by the experience I had. Extremely caring, professional and direct! Unfortunately we discovered my pup has a torn ACL, but I am confident going forward given the knowledge and experience I had this morning. Thank you Castle Peak !-Wayne & Harvey

I have been using Castle Peak Vet service for about 25 plus years.Last week our sweet big boy- an irish wolfhound mix - was ripped into by another dog, and his side was laid open! I had to do an emergency impromptu visit to the Eagle office and didn't know who would be there to help! 'Jennifer Wells' was the vet on staff and I just want to say she did a wonderful job of stitching up our big boy- Actually the whole team jumped right in with compassion and TLC!Typically 'Denny Simonton' is our go to vet, but now we know we have 2 great vets there that can handle even the not so pretty jobs of veterinarian work!THANK YOU 'Castle Peak'- you ALL are a wonderful team!Liisa Chauncy GuidaEdwards, Colorado

Castle peak was incredibly helpful when our cat got a bad laceration on a nail and needed stitches immediately. Then when we got stuck and couldn’t pick her up they kindly boarded her overnight. A+
