Absolutely the worst flooring experience. Lost our order, 6 weeks later installer failed to do a humidity check, used minimal glue and didn’t follow contractors instructions on stairs.Now after an independent flooring inspectors report stating the flooring wasn’t installed correctly, Carpet exchanges blamed us for the poor installation and refuses to correct anything. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for flooring!

We got carpet that was about 15 years old replaced through Carpet Exchange. We had a pretty good experience at the office, and a very excellent experience with the installer crew. I was told that we had to move everything under 40 pounds for the installers, but didn't get to it before they came. They stayed patient with me, and even helped move some of the things, since I was by myself. They worked quickly, but in a quality manner. For instance, we went to some model homes where carpet installers had left screws and things under the carpet, but these installers made sure to thoroughly sweep the area. I was very impressed with my experience.

We were quoted a 2 day job. 1 was to be demo and the other laying the floor. We weren’t contacted when they realized it was taking longer and when we arrived to what we thought would be a finished project it was a construction zone. There was dust and mess everywhere. They didn’t cover anything to protect cooktops or other appliances. They didn’t remove baseboards before demoing tile. As a result we had damaged walls, baseboards and a big mess to clean up. They also used two different types of quarter round. It was really disappointing to say the least and doesn’t look like a professional job or what we should get for what we paid for. I tried to verify if this was standard practice and express my concerns and couldn’t get an email or phone call back. I have a another level that needs flooring but I’m not going to use this company. ****UPDATE 2 years later the flooring has a 12 inch crack,see additional pictures. They sent someone out to do repairs and they said the instillation was done poorly and had to take out half the floor and repair multiple spots. It looks much better and we’re hoping it lasts.****

None better than Carpet Exchange! Trust me.. I am a residential property manager and have seen it all over the past 18 years of business. I have used Carpet Exchange for repairs and new flooring maybe 20 times?? I have used others as well…. Carpet Exchange has always been much better..Never over charged, Never told anything but the truth. Always a fair price. I have met and worked with many sales people, installers and even met the owner once! Never less than excellent service! Home Depot told me 2 months out on an install once. Carpet Exchange did it all the same week!

EXCEPTIONAL is all I can say about Shaun Kandalec, the manager at Carpet Exchange (Platte River Dr)!!!!! My initial experience with the store (a salesperson) fell a bit short from stellar, but once I was in touch with Shaun, I could not have been more pleased. His knowledge of the products, his honestly, his follow-thru, his attention to detail, and his personality made it such a pleasant and comforting experience. The home renovating process is overwhelming and he truly put us at ease and ensured we had as little worry as possible. When I was anxious about anything, I felt more than comfortable to be in touch with Shaun regarding my thoughts. He was always patient and reassuring, and he delivered on what he said he would. Shaun kept me posted on all updates and time lines- no kidding he called me!!! You know when working with Shaun that your satisfaction is his top priority, no matter the size of your project We choose engineered hard wood floors and I LOVE THEM!!! Muhammad and his team completed our floors in the time frame that was set and did an amazing job! I was concerned about a few boards and he came by on a Friday evening to do the work that was needed!! We also ordered quartz counter tops and from Ben who completed the template to Ray and his install team--every last one of them was kind, respectful, and did their job perfectly! In a climate like Denver's housing market, it is priceless to find someone you can trust and I trust Shaun. We will definitely return for future projects. Please do not hesitate to go to Carpet Exchange for all your remodeling needs and please, please, if your experience is less than stellar, CALL SHAUN!!! From the first carpet install to the second due to basement flooding/water damage, it’s been an easy and rewarding process with clear and concise communication the whole way through. Philip Barbaccia was an excellent sales person to work with start to finish. He was personable, knowledgeable and worked hard to meet my needs. He gave me a great deal.I gave a rating of 4 because of lack of communication to the installers. The proposal clearly stated tack strip glue down and haul away old carpet. I needed to direct them and they were not pleased to take my old carpet (which I had taken up and rolled for them). I also had to interrupt them as they were nailing the tack strip down to stop and use the glue gun.I would recommend Philip and suggest better communication.Ann Forney

I had water damage at my house and I had never purchased new flooring before but Shaun at this location could not have been more helpful and patient with me. The carpet install was a complete disaster. A guy with two kids as an “install crew” is unacceptable, especially when they use our sink as a urinal! It took hours for us to figure out why our entire 2nd floor smelled liked urine. I even showed the “foreman” which bathroom to use. We were quoted a one day job. To me 9:00 am to 9:00 pm job should be broken up into two days. They ended up rushing to get it done and did not clean up after themselves. They also left the doors open all day so I had to get an exterminator to get rid of all the flies in the house. I’ve tried calling and emailing Mark, the salesperson, several times to get a refund for the furniture moving charge that should have been on the invoice, but he still hasn’t addressed it 2 months later. I’ve tried calling the store several times and nobody ever answers. What a terrible company- I do not recommend them!

I had a horrible experience with a K. Rodriguez lady she was extremely rude! I am a realtor trying to help my client locate a carpet vendor and get bids before closing. I also own multiple units that need updating. She gave me all of these random equations for an ideal of pricing and saying I as a potential client may be a competitor. Wow, This is how they treat customers! I will recommend against using this carpet exchange location unless you want horrible customer service!

Good experience! Sales person, Connie Reider was very helpful in picking out type/color of carpet for our situation. Install date was set up within less than 2 weeks. Installation was done well, long day, but the 2-man crew did a great job. Only thing that was missing was a guide/brochure for cleaning/taking care of the specific carpet we purchased.

I would not recommend that anyone do business with this company. Our wood floors which were installed by Carpet Exchange were in need of repair. The floors were still under warranty. We went in to talk with Connie the salesperson who was out of the office. We ended up getting approval from the manager to have the repair done. We were told that we would be getting a call to have this scheduled. The call never came. We made several calls to Connie. The problem is no one answers the phone. We were finally able to get a hold of her and she said to give it to the end of the week. We never heard from anyone so we contacted Connie again. She seemed bothered by the call. Finally we got a call from Sal who said he would come to make the repair On Monday July 17th between 9 am and 10. He never showed up and did not bother to text us or call. This was not our first problem with them when the floors were to be installed the installer was extremely late.

Carpet Exchange wants you to pay in full prior to install, then they send out the installers with half the order, they cut in your drive way, put carpet tack strips in door way so you can step on the needles if you step on the threshold, don't show up with materials to do appropriate transitions from carpet to concrete floor. The transition that is attempted is show below, the installers did return to do tuck n roll, but left nails on carpet and concrete to step on,

We just had the carpeting throughout our entire house replaced using Carpet Exchange. Everything about the experience was positive. Our sales person, Mary, was very helpful and kept us updated from the time the carpet was ordered until the time of delivery. The installers were fantastic. Each person on the team was hard-working, cordial, and accommodating. At the end of the job, they vacuumed, swept, and made sure that the place was immaculate. I am a contractor who uses carpet exchange often for work. I DO NOT recommend this particular location. They were extremely unorganized-didn’t even know if my boss’s order was ready or paid for. Despite having paid a day before, the carpet was not cut and I had to wait two hours in my truck. Also the men working for the company smacked my truck while walking by as I waited. Great company, HORRIBLE location.

We looked at several places and were told that it would be at least 12 weeks to get carpet. We went in to Carpet Exchange and Staci helped us find carpeting we could get in about a week. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about what type of carpeting we needed. She was able to provide multiple samples for us, and got our carpet ordered for us as soon as we made a decision. So easy to work with and great customer service!

First, I never thought I'd be buying hardwood flooring from a store called Carpet Exchange. However, we found the most beautiful, rustic Hickory solid hardwood flooring at an unbelievable price. Patrick (sales) was amazing and extremely helpful. He followed up with me throughout the entire process. Omar was our installer and did an amazing job. Save yourself a lot of time (and money) and just go here if you need new floors. I'll definitely be back when we decide to renovate our bathroom and guestroom.

We recently purchased granite, from the carpet Exchange on Platte River in Denver, for 3 different areas in our home. Immediately when we walked into the store we were impressed by the amount of various products and the organization and cleanliness of the store. Nate Kangas was our salesperson and he was knowledgeable, personable and took the time to show us various options. After an exhausting search at other companies we finally found exactly what we were looking for with Nate. We are anxiously awaiting the installation. We will shop Carpet Exchange in the future. I had an outstanding experience at Carpet Exchange with both the selection and installation of new hardwood flooring for my kitchen and hallways. Shaun guided me toward a Coretec product that perfectly matched what I was looking for. It turned out to be quite challenging to remove the old (water damaged) floor, but the installation team handled this difficult task with great skill. The installers also did an excellent job, not only in the actual installation, but in cleanup at the end of the week. The professionalism shown by both Sawn and the installers was very impressive and for this reason I have already recommended Carpet Exchange to several neighbors in my condo building. I will use them for my future flooring projects.
