I am so happy with our paintings, they are PERFECT! David was so kind and prompt when working with us on what we wanted, and the whole experience was positive. We plan to use David's service again in the future for our various pet memorial paintings (hopefully that won't be for a while!) My husband and I cried when we opened our parcels because the painting gs were so beautiful and their faces look exactly like the photos I sent. These paintings make me smile every time I see them. 😊

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND David Kennett if you want to capture your pet in an incredible life-like painting. He painted our three dogs, my horse and our daughters dog (which was a gift from us to her for Christmas). I can't begin to express how AMAZING they each are in quality. I've seen other artists who do pet paintings and they are not even half as good, but three to four times more expensive. David comes to your home and takes photos (or in our case the barn too to photograph my horse JoJo) and then paints a portrait from the photo he takes or a photo you prefer to use for your portrait. I commissioned David to paint a painting of my dog and am extremely happy with how well he captured her personality in the painting. His work is detailed and very true to the picture I had given him to use as his guide. He delivered the painting within the time frame he promised. My husband and I met David in Breckenridge, CO. I gave him a photo of my cat and he completed the painting a few days later. We absolutely love it! The painting captures my cat's sweet personality, beautiful eyes and markings. It looks so real! It's been our habit to memorialize our beloved pets with fine art painting of them in the prime of their life . Through a local art gallery who carry's the very famous Chinese painter Shang Ding works, would send my photos to China to have his brother do oil paintings of our dogs, but he has not been available to paint our dogs for the past 10 years. I hired a local well known artist to paint both of my dogs from recent photograph correction after correction for a price 3 times what I paid David, and it took him nearly a year, and in the end , we were not satisfied. It took David less than a week to capture not only the face, but the spirit of our beloved Simba, who died soon after this painting was completed. We couldn't have been more delighted with the results .

I ordered a painting of our darling cat for my husband for Christmas. David perfectly captured his personality in our painting.Although our cat has passed, seeing the painting every day brings a smile to both of us and makes us remember our sweet pet.I would highly recommend David. I commissioned David to paint a portrait of my wife's favorite cat for Christmas. She was thrilled to see her kitty in David's beautiful painting which we put up in our dining room for everyone to see. Photos are great but his paintings add a special touch which a photo can't deliver. If you love your pets you need to get one of his paintings!

My wife and I met David Kennett about six years ago when he was painting in the park. We were so taken by the way he captured the dog on canvas. Even the dog's personality comes through in his paintings. David painted our two Bernese Mountain dogs and our Westie. He has painted our dog's head shot, with kind of a "pop art" look and painted life-sized pieces of our dogs as well. Previously, we had some paintings done of our dogs by an artist in Maui, but they don't compare to David's fabulous work.Recently, David traveled to Vail and painted our horse, as well as several other horses in the barn. He really captured our horse beautifully and is a pleasure to work with, sending us progress pictures to ensure we were pleased with the eyes and color. I can't say enough about his work and highly recommend him to anyone.

>>> SPOILER ALERT <<<< We're pretty big fans of David Kennett in our house. We have not one, not two, not three, not four.... but FIVE paintings of his! Our kiddo loves them! Three dogs, two cats and we couldn't be happier! We wanted to 'whimsical' pics of our animals and that is exactly what we got of each one of them. David is a great communicator and collaborator throughout the entire creative process. There is so much personality in the paintings they practically leap off the canvas! We'll keep adding to our collection as our furry family grows. He's just fabulous!

David painted a portrait of my Basset Hound, Lilly, as a Christmas surprise for my husband. David captured all of what is special about our dog-her expression, her beautiful long ears and even her unique eyebrows. I looked at some other painters work, and David appealed to me because of his realistic but artistic paintings. We are very happy with Lilly's portrait.

I commissioned David to paint two paintings of my dogs after they passed away - just 4 months shy of one another - after 14 years of being my companions, my coworkers, and my posse! I am on the east coast, so we worked together via phone and email, and David was timely in his responses and provided updates throughout the process. He captured the unique (and completely different) personalities of my two pups so well - my paintings are absolutely PERFECT!! I could not be happier with them. He is incredibly talented and I would choose him again in a heartbeat to do another portrait! (Maybe one of my horses next time?)
