I was happy to find the last camco sewer cap for our trailer. We were sent there by the mesa verdi camp people. The place was void of employees. I walked around quite a while and finally asked a cashier who looked up rv supplies on isle 12. Was delighted to find the replacement part I needed. I suppose it is difficult to find anybody to work anymore. So just wanted to thank the cashier who took time to help me out. Lack of floor assistance is also a factor at tractor supply in our town.

Decent place that I'd position has halfway between a Rural King/Tractor Supply and an Ace Hardware.If you know what you're getting and don't need assistance you'll have the retail experience you're expecting. If you need a human to access something or resolve an error in their retail system, expect to be there a long time and leave frustrated.My issue was over the pricing if an electric weed eater. The sticker price of each component (weed eater, battery, charger) was each equal to what the total package (all three components) were priced at nearly every competing retailer.I pointed out the error the MOD and showed where the stocking clerk had likely made the innocent mistake. I pulled up the same item on Lowes, Amazon, etc. to show the prices to the manager, and also kindly pointed out how there's no way a company, logically, would try to bring a weed eater to market costing over $1000, or, that his corporate office would be trying to sell something nearly $700 more than competitors.While friendly, the MOD didn't agree with my view nor accept my request for a price match. He said that was their price and there was nothing he could doI gave up, went home and bought online from Amazon. It was an hour of my time at the store, but four days later I had a beautiful yard and an extra $700 in my pocket.Thanks!

The staff is absolutely fantastic! Customer service was outstanding! Cashiers 10/10. They always have the feed I need stocked and ready to go. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager I spoke with was also very helpful. Great job BIG R! Will be back soon.

Talk about a great store. It's like Tractor supply meets Boot Barn. Lots of products for various animals, clothing, tools, shoes, and cool snacks. Friendly staff as well.

We regularly shop at Big R in Cortez but, after our experience today, we will no longer patron their store. We wanted to purchase a chainsaw, the first one they provided wouldn't start so they sold us another. To make sure we received the correct saw, we tried to start it outside the store. The saw wouldn't start. When we took it back seeking assistance they took it to the back to troubleshoot the issue. The manager shouted at us and accused us of breaking the saw. She then refused to allow us to return/exchange the saw and wouldn't get the saw from the back of the store nor allow us to retrieve it. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism or candor much less from someone in a management position. Customers around us looked horrified at the behavior of the manager and her loud, rude, irrational accusations. Finally, the man in the back who was looking at the saw confirmed it was malfunctioning (we hadn't broken it or caused the issue). The manager never apologized to us. We will never return to this store and will shop at IFA instead. It's unfortunate that the behavior of one manager should ruin our experience. I understand the stress of retail work and empathize with the staff especially with our current situation but this treatment was completely uncalled for and inappropriate. I've got a call in with the Regional Manager to report the issue but felt I should add to the chorus of other bad Google reviews so that others can avoid a similar experience.

Tried Big R Again, website said they had something in stock. So I ordered online. Then an hour later I was refunded, and had to call about it. They said they didn't have the items in stock. Pretty sloppy over there.Been there two times. Both times looking at items in yard and they never know what the price is. One employee just guessing so that he wouldn't have to check. Avoid this store, go to IFA instead. UPDATED 1-5-22

Very bad experience. the female manager Andi refused to help us. the people ahead of us in line had quite a bit of stuff and i bet we were standing for five minutes while Andi was just standing there talking about personal stuff and having a grand time. we were in there when there was hardly any people and it would have taken us less then a minute to get checked out. i’m very irritated with her and her customer service. i’ve had nothing but bad experiences when she’s working when i come in. i want something done about it

Mixed bag of helpful people and then just rude and management. I asked the cashier if they would price match. She asked someone (maybe a manager/supervisor) to which he asked if I had an advertisement. I did. Then he says no we don't pricematch. The cashier had to relay the response because the big ole burley dude was mumbling and walked away. The gun counter was empty of long guns and there is barely any room to walk around clothing.I'm torn on Big R because I prefer the local type businesses. But when the item (bb gun) is marked 20% higher than an MSRP it is hard to patronize. Also a holster, $99, is double (and I bought one at a third) of the price. MSRP is $49.99.What is going on Big R? Why do I need to sign up for the Veterans/Military discount, adversised?You may have lost my business going forward...

The cashiers are fantastic...so super friendly every time I've been there. Pretty nice selection of feed and supplies but do your research at home. So far I've not found the advise from staff regarding animal care to be helpful...at all.

If I could give this place -stars I would. The management orders ugly styles of clothing and are extremely rude. I could hear her and her staff talking about me on their radios as I was shopping, extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately this in not the first bad thing about the manager I've seen on the reviews. The cashier's are very nice which is probably the only nice thing. IFA carries all the same stuff for cheaper. Don't waste your time at the Cortez location of this store

VERY POOR SERVICE! Visited store around 10 a.m. ask at front desk for price on several trailers in the front parking area. Clerk reply " that is a manager thing" and called for manager assistance. Manager replied "I am not qualified". Clerk replied that a manager would be in later that could help. I guess they don't want to sale trailers all I ask is price! Understand to sale them a licenses person is needed. I bought a trailer elsewhere that day.

I delivered nursery plants and trees to this store. The employees are nice and helpful. Codie the receiving manager was very nice and not afraid of work. She helped me unload my trailer.

shouldn't even receive a star. bad customer service. tried waiting to purchase ammunition. everyone just sitting down looking at me. and cashier just laughing and not caring to call anyone over to the sporting goods area ... all in all very poor and very bad experience

the female manager in there is really nice. very non judgmental and kind. the dude who sells firearms turned me off tho I will return to buy a pistol but if he's rude I'll be rude back

I went there to buy a pallet of sakcrete and when I got home and started uploading it I noticed that about half of the pallet had gotten either wet or something because I was only able to use about less than half and then went to take it back and the Mgr said that they wouldn't take it back and wouldn't refund any of the money that I spent for the whole pallet

Unfortunately, like most other stores these days, this store is understaffed and usually doesn't have what I'm looking for. I've stopped in several times looking for Carhartt clothing. Nothing in my size and no one around to help me. The store does carry the product. They just don't keep it stocked sufficiently. Although I want to spend my money locally, there simply isn't much to spend it on. I suspect this branch will be forced to close in the near future.

I have been doing business here since they opened. I have never had any issues with writing a check. Today they refused to take a check. They said they can't take out of state checks and never have. Really, I've been writing checks there for at least 15 years. It's alright, I worry about getting haunta virus they have a bad mice problem so much so it smells like mice.

The supervisor was very friendly and helped me with a dual diesel gas n tool box, better built brand for my husbands birthday gift! :-) we had to visit 2 other Big R and finally had to travel to cortez co and was treated great.......Thank you so much for making my husband birthday gift great..... a very happy cusomer...jan

Found an item I wanted displayed at $25.99. The clerk pulled one off the shelf individually marked $25.99. The clerk took it to the cash register and it rang up as more than $40. The manager wouldn't allow it to be sold to me at the advertised price. Bad experience.

Not for sure of the problem with this store being able to sell trailers but really over a year now always same excuse waiting on fingerprints or something to do with testing but willing to direct you 75 miles away to another store or waiting on the manager from 75 miles away to come to town gave phone number at least once a month for them to call when that happens but still no call if I drive I’m going to Lowe’s this is getting stupid

Stopped by today to check on the price of a trailer, a guy on a fork lift tried to help me because not a single trailer had a price. He called someone named Colton on the radio to get a price and the person on the other end was rude to the gentleman who was trying to help me. Lost a trailer sale today thanks to Colton.

Went looking for new house slippers or loafers. If somene is willing to pay 100.00 or more for a pair of 3 month shoes.... this is the place to do it.... VERY expensive clothes shoes and gear. One RV water filter there is 39.00. You can get the exact same thing at walmart in a package of two for 27.50...... jus sayin...

Unhelpful staff couldn’t even bother to help me find some 5 gallon buckets unorganized. Had to drive to Durango for 6 buckets ugh.
