Good bargains. Gotta highlight that my bf and I bought a gummies package and they were the tasteless and most artificial candy we had tried. Days later, when we went to return them they showed no problem and were willing to give us something in return for it's price. That was great. 🙌🏼On the other hand there were little to none gluten free options in the food aisle. That's something that really needs to be improved 👀

Probably some of the rudest employees I've ever had to deal with. Even the managers in the morning, they're actually the worst ones. If u can go to a different DG go to the one on circle, much nicer employees there. Unfortunately I doordash so I can't pick which DG I go to 🤣

For Drivers. The staff is great here. Quick and friendly. Fresh truck is a front door parking lot. Dry van, is a dock around back that is a little tricky. Plenty of room to maneuver back there though. Be cautious of the round about to get to it. Easiest to get back to main road by going back through the round about.

This store has come into new management in the last year and I couldn’t be more happier about it. The staff is trying there hardest to do the best they can with the limited hours dg provides them. The newer homeless that have come around seems to scare off people but I think they do a great job taking care of the customers who feel uneasy about them being there. I love this store and the location hands down great people!

I like this store. Staff and Manager are friendly and helpful. I can usually find what I need at reasonable prices. However the limited staff takes awhile to get the stock on the shelves so the aisles are sometimes cluttered until the work gets done. I lay that on Corporate's doorstep since their bottom line has likely prevented the manager from hiring adequate staff. Overall I am glad they came to town. Wonder why their 3 stores are all in the south part of town.

I’ve been going here for years now all of the sudden the staff is acting creepy!!! They follow you around the store making you feel uncomfortable. They also refuse to take any customers past 7:50pm despite the fact that there hours of operation is until 8pm. Than when I address the issues to the employee through a locked door she laughed and said “we close at 7:50pm. By them doing that they are potentially costing Dollar General thousands of dollars a year. Now imagine if every dollar general did that behind their corporate offices back That would be equivalent to millions of dollars a year sacrifice because the employees don’t want to work the extra 10 minutes

I never write reviews for anything, but this was one of the worst experiences I have had with an employee. The dollar general used to be great. My friends and I would walk down to this store every weekend. So you could say we were loyal customers. Now I cannot say we will ever go again after today. We walked down and my friend was told to put his backpack at the front of the store which is nothing new. We browsed the store for 5-8 minutes and were told to leave the store. We asked what was wrong and the woman said we were yelling, running around the store, and disturbing the customers. Although none of that was true. We were talking with an inside voice and were just looking around the store like any other customer would. She also made my friends who weren't going to pay outside. After 5 or so minutes she told me I had to leave even though I was still shopping. I paid and then she found my last friend in there and told him to stop and leave. We asked what was wrong and she continued to exclaim that we were making a ruckus, that we were in the store for 30 minutes, and that we were bad mouthing her. Of all things, she was rude to my friend because she essentially called him stupid. Long story short, I will not be coming here again without an apology or some reimbursement. This company needs to learn how to treat their loyal customers. What a shame. P.S. If you want to go to a good dollar store, the Dollar Tree is actually pretty great.

This is a extremely poorly managed store! At first my experience was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. My issue started with a simple phone call to the store with a question about a receipt that I had some concerns about. The manager John answered the phone and was immediately irritated with my question. Without giving me any process or help the employee of this establishment hung up. I find this extremely offensive and just plain rude! How unprofessional and unorganized do you have to be to treat people with such disrespect? I really hope this gentleman finds the time to be thankful to have a job and next time treat customers with a little more respect.

I would give the store a 5 but the store to be honest could use updating. That's my only negative. My wife and I live a block away and the staff are always respectful helpful and generally have good senses of humor. Customer service means allot to me. It decides wether or not I'll return for future shopping. You guys are doing great keep it up,

There is a surprising amount of variety and selection here from food to small household items in all decently priced. This is not a 99 cent store It's items are priced beyond a dollar but definitely can find some good values in here. They also have a lot of stuff for birthdays and parties good for a quick stop.

Good! I picked up very cheap supplies to wrap a present and found a cute animal bed for an amazing price! I don't think I would go here at night, however. The area does feel a little sketchy.

I love this place I visit it everyday almost & I've never had a negative experience. The staff is amazing I've always been greeted with a smile. Price's are pretty good on most thing's and they always have sales going on. I got my family to go with me once and now it's there go to dollar store. I would definitely recommend The Dollar General on South 8th st they are wonderful :)

The dollar general off of 8th street in Colorado Springs. Has the worst general manager I've ever encountered with. She accused me of opening boxes. And took my items out of my hands and told me I had to get out Because I was looking to long and that they had to get back to their jobs. Very very rude and judgemental.

the day time manager was extreemly rude... i was down an ile from her... she was looking at me so i said hello she then says well she has to go up friny she hopes i dont start sticking things in my pockets.. i then ask for her yo repeat what she said as she was walking to the front then she turned around and said if i keped asking her that i needed to leave..

The store in my are, for those that tried to send or receive $ and could not,stand up and boycott the western union in your local dollar general chain stores, bigwigs need to fix their faulty wire transfer networks.

I think the store has improved 100% since the reminding. They need to pack cold items ( lunch meat...frozen steak ) by itself. Aisle signs still not big enough.Overall ok.

The dollar general employees are great ive been going there for 7 years and have never had a issue. The post prior to mine is untrue and i know this for a fact I've been there during some of the run ins with the person in the prior post and what it is is the dollar general employees are being stocked by the individual because they wont date him.

Stopped in to get a phone cord for my iPhone. Nice location, variety of products, adding more workers to stock products would make the experience more appealing and generate repeat customers. Very friendly staff.

They have decent prices but BEWARE!I used my credit card at this store and "someone" (not sure of it was the clerk or somebody in line) stole my credit card information and 'spent' nearly $1800 on it in another state!!I will NOT go back to this store!Do NOT use your credit card at Dollar stores! Pay in cash only!

I wish I could stay home when it snows a little. Nope I drove all the way across town just like everyone else except DG employees. I'll be stopping at Safeway from now on since they don't even advertise on the door or Google maps that they are to afraid to drive in a bit of snow. Every other business except the library was open.

Older location but the selection is pretty decent, and the staff is amazing! I also think they have great pricing compared to the Safeway and Walgreen's in the area. I would definitely recommend this location to others.
