This had to be the worse experience I have ever had at an ACE and so much I will never venture to this location again. I purchased a blower/vac from an ACE hardware and within 2 days of use the cord was seized and I needed to return for a replacement. This is what brought me in to this store because it was closer than the one I bought it from. When I walked in and went to the register I was greeted by an older lady who you could read get out of my line before I walked up. I immediately said hi and ask how her day was to the reply of, "what do you need." I was mind blown but handed my receipt to her and started to explain the situation and she cut me off and said, "we cant do anything for you here." I ask why since it was purchased at an ACE and she said, "they are franchises and why would we give you money back when someone else has the money." I politely tried to explain I only want to replace it and not my money back. She proceeded to grab another grouchy older lady who just kept looking down and repeating over and over, "its a franchise we don't have to, its a franchise we don't have to. I agreed she didn't have to but it the right thing to do for the customer. They didn't agree and I walked out. After that I drove to another ACE to only be greeted with smiles and a helping attitude. I told the manager about my experience and they apologized up and down about that store and said they hear that at least a couple times a week.Horrible store, horrible manager, and cashier. The only positive about it was the young kid who is greeting people at the door. Maybe promote him to manager and get rid of the grouchy ladies who are running your business away one interaction at a time.

Went in to buy a new shovel, which says it was in stock online (it still says in-stock as I write this review). Asked the cashier at the front desk about it and she looked at me like I was inconveniencing her to ask a question. Without even leaving her stool or looking in their inventory system, she simply said if you didn’t see it then we don’t have it. I left the store and went to the Ace Hardware down the road in which they were more than happy to assist me and even explain the differences in products. Won’t support this local Ace ever again.

I live close by and frequent the store for mostly small needs. Last week I broke my dump truck key and was in a bind. Thankfully Nicole was able to help me out and make me a new key from the broken pieces of the old one. Great, friendly customer service and I was truly impressed and grateful! Thanks again!

Avoid going here for anything paint-related, the last two times (twice because they horribly messed it up) with the woman working the pain section was miserable. She is extremely hateful, completely incompetent, and gave us the completely wrong type of paint. She also doesn’t understand how paint works or their store’s policies for returns. Visit the Uintah Ace for a significantly better (and much kinder) customer experience.

Ace Hardware sucks on customer service. I took a tool back, and even with the receipt, they would not take it back. I never used it because it was the wrong size tool. Even though the receipt says " Within 30 days we will fix it, exchange it or refund it. Your receipt assures it." Their excuse is "we are a series of independent franchises and policy is set by each franchise." If that is so, why does it say on the receipt it assures refund or exchange? I would give zero stars if I could. I am cancelling my Ace Rewards as soon as I can. Totally unsatisfactory.

I’ve come here for 6-7 years with my service dog to get odds and ends only when I need them. Today I walked in (7/22/2023) to get some insert’s for furniture.I was asked if Hunter could have a treat, and than shown right to the section I needed. That is usually how it goes, in and out in under 10-20 minutes. The item I needed were .49 cents and ACE had them in stock. I didn’t have to wait for my own customer service team to open up on Monday, I was able to fix the item myself for about $1.00

I was very disappointed with the customer service, one of the employees were eating while scanning people’s items. I asked how are you the employee replied good, didn’t even ask how I was. Also as soon as I walked in I received no welcome in. I think there prices are way too high and I will not be going back. Now much prefer Home Depot. May I also add that they were very rude. And, specifically the front desk lady was the one being rude. Will NOT go back. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I ordered a Treager grill to pick up Friday before Memorial Day weekend. I waited for 15 mins for them to find the order and the women at the front desk was far from friendly. The one stars was for the nice man that carried it to my car. After driving home two hours and unloading the grill, I realized they must have given me the floor model. No box, missing can for the grease drip, dead bugs inside, and the lid does not close properly. I paid full price for a subpar product, what a disappointment. We ended up using it, as we had no other option for the weekend. I do not recommend online ordering or going to this Ace Hardware location.

I’ve come to this store a few times to buy paint for my new home. Everyone has been a joy until I came across Amanda. I had to return a water hose and unfortunately didn’t have my receipt, but I did have the Ace app and the card that I paid with. Amanda was the rudest person I have ever interacted with. Couldn’t even let me get two sentences in and kept cutting me off about how “you need to keep your receipt”. The hose was in the condition I bought it because it never left the backseat of my car. Don’t see what the big deal was, if I was willing to show proof of purchase through my card and app. Other than Amanda, staff is great and always willing to help, but maybe she should find another job if she doesn’t like working with customers.

When did Ace hardware not accept exchange with receipt and original packaging because it came from another ace hardware location? Seems like they would honor the Ace loyalty instead of creating a preference for one store over the other. They have competition from every big box hardware store, they don’t need to compete with each other.

I had a Great Experience at the Ace Hardware Garden of the Gods store today. I had went to one of the big box stores and tried to get a Master Lock key duplicated but they couldn't but did tell me to go to an Ace Hardware store. So today I went to an Ace store and decided to get four other keys duplicated as well. A.J. did a great job of handling the job in a quick and effective manner and all the keys worked great. He was also a very nice person and was fun to have a conversation with. A great employee to represent Ace Hardware. Next, I had a question on an electrical outlet so Steve and James combined to give me a very professional answer. They too were great representatives of Ace Hardware. I will try to go out of my way next time to visit Ace Hardware stores based upon this experience. The caring nature of the employees sure makes a big difference! Thanks to all of you for your help!

The checkers need to learn how to have some manners and respect for the customers. They are rude and inconsistent. This has been a friendly neighborhood store until today and now after shopping there for years I've decided I will not return to Ace Hardware any longer!!!Checker has alienated us as loyal customer's.

Great convenient place when I'm at work when i need to pick up something on my way home. A little pricey but that's the price of convenience. Smaller store with most essential home needs in a pinch. It gets a 3 star because the website isn't that great and the products online available are not always true when you want to pick up in store. Has got me a few times now. I know its not the employees fault. The staff is very friendly and are always willing to assist finding what i need.

Thank you K.O. for taking the time to help my son find the correct screws and washers for his skateboard and for showing him how to use them. The total sale was only a couple of dollars but you made him feel like a million bucks! I absolutely love this store! The employees are kind and that means a lot.

Outstanding help from the moment I entered the door. Helped me find everything I needed to connect some propane lines and had me back out the door in five minutes. Polite and helpful the whole time.I'd visited another Ace immediately prior to this and received the exact opposite -- no help at all.This is a great Ace Hardware store. They've got my business from now on.

For many years I have gone to this Ace Hardware and always enjoyed exceptional kind service. I loved shopping there to find special items that the big box store doesn't carry. Always treated well and enjoyed my shopping and check out experience. From mixed paint to filled propane and specialty cut hoses to all the great canning supplies it has been my go to place. Until these last two visits. The New Girl! Wow is she inconvenienced by customers and snippy when asked questions. Clearly I will be more hesitant and really think before I decide to shop at Ace on Garden of the Gods again. Why would I want to get any service from such a person. I am sad, to visit the store less now since my experience will be so aweful and met with contempt from a very unhelpful front desk girl! Where did the fabulous ladies go who used to be there? I can get parts anywhere it truly was the people who made the store... not any more.

Was having difficulty with my grill propane tank. Called up Ace, spoke with staff who explained how to bleed the tank and voila! Propane tank and grill works perfectly now! I had watched online, but it didn't explain it as well as he did. So thankful!?Summer was lacking without being able to use my grill!

I went to the ACE on Garden Of the Gods to havea Key Fib cut and programmed to my Toyota Prius.The gentleman that assisted me was James. He wasted no time cutting the new key on the fob andCame outside with his equipment and programmedmy new Key Fob. James is an asset to Ace and couldn’t have done a better job! He was knowledgeable and friendly and respected my time!! Thank you James!! I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience!!!

This store is great. (An update on their dog food - they moved it out and away from the pesticides awhile ago. That was a good move.) Still my favorite ACE store in town. Everyone here strives to give optimal service and they get it done. I prefer shopping at ACE because its a more personal experience. I can get expert help or advice and don't have to wander for miles trying to find someone to help me if I can't find something or have a question.

This particular location many times is either out of stock of something or doesn't have what another store does, a major disappointment. I walked in with a list of eleven items that I needed and left with two, one of those I had to compromise on. All of these items were what a hardware store should have. About 15% of shelves were empty. The prices at these places are much higher than big box but the convenience is worth it, if I have to go elsewhere because the place is out of everything what the hell is the point? The counter ladies are often very, very slow!

I really like coming to this location. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. The parking lot is well paved, which is worth mentioning because the rest of the shopping complex looks like a battlefield. So glad to support a local busines instead giving Amazon money.

The people who work here are great! Bring them any problem and they will help you solve what you need to fix it! My recent trip I came because my new car didn't have bottom screws on the license plate (only the top ones) and the gentleman who helped me even walked out to the car and made sure they would fit! No more rattling! Yay!

I have come to this location no less than once a week for 5 years. I have seen the same 3 faces at the register every time. As a contractor, quick access to small parts can be nice. As a homeowner, I like to support the local hardware store. As a buisness owner, I know how hard running a shop is. Each time I come here, I am treated as an annoyance not a customer. Often I am followed as if I am planning to steal something but not offered help in my search. I have decided to post this today because it will be my last time here. After supporting this local business for 5 years, the treatment is getting worse and worse. If you are annoyed by my use of your company, I will take my substantial business to places I am not treated like a thief. Where employees want to help... or at least pretend they are there to work. Who needs this level of grumpy frustration when I go to tinker arround the house?

Went to exchange a set of Christmas Lights I had purchased the day before. I admit that I should've asked for a receipt when I first bought them, but according to the cashier, there was no record of the transaction whatsoever. I have to wonder what the cashier yesterday was actually doing.Apparently though, it wouldn't have mattered anyways, because only then was I told that lights are non-refundable.Just to add insult to financial injury, the Christmas clearance sale they have going on right now is a complete joke. The "discounted" prices they had are about what I'd expect to pay for these items at full price.

A decent little hardware store, geared towards its suburban neighborhood. If you're in agriculture or construction, usually not the place to go, but what brings me to this store is they have a good selection of Grade 5 and Grade 8 hardware, plus longer lengths of lag screws and larger diameter bolts that the big-box stores don't stock. Even the ungraded hardware is US steel (30ksi & up). And a staff that actually knows their stuff. Worth the drive into the city to get good hardware.
