Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! We had the goat cheese croquettes and the blackberry goat cheese salad and both were so delicious. We each had a burger as well and it was interesting to be able to get a tamale on the side— and we both loved the burgers. Our kiddo was happy with the kids meal options and their menu made me laugh! The bathrooms were even family friendly— no auto flushers for the potty training scared kiddo, great changing table. Definitely great food for the money and generous portions. We would be regulars if only it wasn’t 6.5 hours away from home!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, but not a “kiddie” restaurant. Sling for the baby carrier and a high chair.

Honestly even though my waitress was not the one to really take care of me there was definitely an atmosphere of cooperation and ultimately I was left adequately satisfied with the service. The food on the other hand was phenomenal, the steak was cooked to perfection perfectly seasoned great texture was actually just really a joy to eat. My fries were a little cold but that might have been because I was just completely taken by the ribeye lol

We went over there two times in one week. The service was very good and friendly. The food was really good. I likes my ribeye steak. The flavor was great. I would keep some space for a dessert. They are all good.I would recommend this place for everyone (couple, family, friends, etc)Probably one of the best restaurant in town.Parking: Easy to park.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available and child friendly.

I've been waiting for a trip to Burlington for a few months, so I could try the Butternut Squash Enchiladas. It was Absolutely worth the wait! The sweet and spicy taste topped with the fresh pico and crema.... Chef's Kiss. The sweet tamales, out of this world.I ordered carry out for my husband, a dishroom sink burger with brussel sprouts. It smelled so good, I had to put it in the bed of the truck for the drive home. I popped that massive beauty into the air fryer. Reheated, that sucker is in the top 3 list for my husband and myself. The presentation was fantastic. The flavors, a medley for the taste buds. The service, spectacular, especially for the laggy time I arrived. I worked in the food industry much of my life, and that 2-4p lull can be challenging.Y'all are on top of your game! Thank you for a Fantabulous experience.

I could not wait to write this review; as a matter of fact, we have not left the restaurant yet. My wife and I are traveling from Denver to Witchita and at some point, I realized we would not make it to our destination before the restaurants stopped serving dinner. At this point, we were still in Colorado and based on our surroundings, it looked like we were literally in the middle of nowhere. I did a quick google search and discovered we were approx 18 miles from “The Dish Room” in Burlington. I started reading the reviews and they seemed “to good to be true.” We arrived, ordered dinner and while our food was being prepared, people started pouring into the parking lot like water. Needless to say, we are about to leave and the restaurant is packed with very happy customers. My wife had lamb chops and I had pheasant. The food was incredible, the service was 5-star and complete strangers walking in and out said hello to us. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place to everyone! It appeared to be a nice mix of locals and travelers and now I know why the reviews are plentiful and on point!

Just rolled into town for the night. Found a place to stay and eat.The Dish Room looked like a good place to settle in for a cocktail and a meal. The place was writhing walking distance of the place we stayed at which is a good thing as I needed to walk off some of the great meal I had.To find a find dining experience place in such a small town was a pleasant surprise.I had the Colorado Huckleberry Pork chop, and oh my goodness. The whole plate was full of flavor that blended very well together. The pork chop was done to perfection, tender and juicy. The whole menu looked great. Wish I could try it all.Kids or no kids, you need to look over the kids menu. It will make you chuckle. The place was busy but the whole staff was there to help each other out. Great teamwork. The fly fan is a nice tool to keep the flys away.

The Dish Sink Burger is hands down the best Burger I have EVER Had! My lovely wife had the Shrimp 🍤 Pasta Dish, she Loved It! And we both agree their Crème brûlée is Top Notch as well. The Menu here is definitely unique and all the dishes I have had here are amazing! The service is almost always superb! And the staff is very attentive and friendly! Highly Recommend!! 👍👍

A true hidden gem of unique cuisine that would rival any big city trendy restaurant. Will crave the fried goat cheese croquettes, with prosciutto, micro greens with a honey drizzle. My Bleu shroom burger was cooked just the way I like it. Their signature side dish called the sweet corn tamale was almost decadent. Sweet corn masa topped with pico is a dish I will try to duplicate at home.

WOW! This place is incredibly good and very affordable. We were passing through and stayed the night in this pleasant town and stumbled upon The Dish Room. They have a menu you would not believe - culinary style, locally sourced food, and homemade everything. Flavorful, exotic, and diverse with your classic favorites is how I would describe the menu items. Everything sounded amazing and as we watched other orders come out, the appearance did not disappoint. The portions were very size-able and exceptionally reasonable prices. The service was superb and the food was outstanding. It was nice to see folks who knew one another casually greeting each other or catching up on the way to their table too. A small town feel with worldly flavor. My only regret is that this restaurant is not in the city we’re moving to!If you’re in town, this is a must stop.

Got a 6oz filet that was cooked correctly and came out quickly. Meat quality was excellent but the steak itself needed some more flavor. My wife’s butternut squash enchiladas were the real showstopper, and I kind of wish I got those instead. Our sever was very friendly and kind, and did a good job of keeping our drinks filled.Vegetarian options: The vegan option dinner was the showstopper.

It was a nice place to eat, a little pricey for what we wanted. You would think free refills would be a thing, but the waitress never offered and we felt awkward asking. I highly recommend getting a reservation if you want to eat here. The bathrooms should be remodeled to be more wheelchair accessible. I had a very difficult time navigating and having enough room to get my chair in and have enough space to transfer to the toilet. And then navigating to the sink after ... Ugh, this alone makes me not want to return.

Great staff working and supporting each other. Food was fantastic. Seafood was fresh, and the portions were huge! Sis loved her scallops and my Ahi appetizer was divine. Chef Dax was attentive, waitress patient and pleasant, but hustled in between. It was fair week, but no one was snippy or anything. People who came in at closing were seated and served cheerfully. Great teamwork both front and back of the house.

This place is very nice, a little more elegant then I expected for the area. I started with an amber beer, which was good. I ordered the roasted oysters to start, although they were good I would have expected more of the cheese and topping on them for the price. Ok, so although I was a little disappointed about the oysters, for my meal I ordered the seafood ravioli and OMG. It was packed with flavor and meat, everything was cooked great, but the flavor was...amazing. A little bit of spice though so be careful. I've been here about 5 hours, just hanging out, the staff is amazing, very friendly and informative. I just ordered a side Cesar salad and it was delicious, turns out the lettuce is locally grown by an employee here and the dressing is made in house.Edit..The previous review was made yesterday, Saturday, I am here now on Sunday for brunch and I must say, this is amazing. $25 per person with endless small plates and drinks from their brunch menu. I tried a few different things just to get a feel for the options and I have to say the bang for the buck is explosive. I expected then to skimp on the product for the price like most places do but there was no skimping at this place. I HIGHLY suggest placing reservations if you're coming for brunch as a group, it got very busy very fast. If you have made it this far in my review it's time for the only truly negative thing I have to say, the lady pulling the large ice cubes from the tray and shaping them up, I watched her grabbing other thing and even answering the phone then not washing her hands before touching the ice again. The ice goes into people's drinks and so I found this 1 thing to be wrong. This only happened with this one person in this instance, I have seen everyone else keep up on hand washing, I believe she just had alot going on and it slipped her mind. Again this is the only negative comment I have in the weekend I spent here.

We had quite possibly the best burgers we've ever had at The Dish Room a bit over two years ago when we were passing through the area on a long trip. To anyone interested... if you are stopping for a night or passing through early in the morning... wait till the place opens and have a meal. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic food!! This is the kind of place that everyone wishes they could have in their hometown.

Great selection. Dishes have seasonings that bounce around your tongue and light up your salivary glands. The dirty south has a nice warm heat. If you are spice sensitive, choose with caution. The vegetables were so fresh and prepared beautifully to preserve their natural colors, textures, and flavors. Glad we stumbled across this gem. Service was exceptional even though we arrived less than 30 minutes to close on a Sunday. 😬

Just driving through? This one is not for you.We happened to go during a “special st paddy’s day brunch” and waited an hour to sit a party of 9.Reading the menu and seeing the prices I was very excited with the way things sounded. The quality of ingredients are on par with frozen food.My son and I ordered off the brunch menu. I got Irish nachos and was presented with a plate with 2.5 potato wedges that weren’t cooked in the last hour. None of it was warm. The rest of the table got their food, another long wait for that. Four burgers, only one cooked correctly, but they did all get eaten, a kids’ macaroni that was grainy cheese sauce and lukewarm, a waffle from the brunch menu that was half of a waffle, and a pasta dish chicken Alfredo that the 10 year old who ate it said it was very good.We were told afterwards that the brunch menu was “bottomless” and we could’ve gotten more half waffles. They were nice enough to remove the half waffle from our check, which otherwise would’ve been $30 because it was all you can eat.7/9 of us left with full bellies, so it’s not the worst ever. Don’t expect fresh ingredients.

One of the BEST meals I have had in a long time. The steak could be cut with a butter knife. It was busy but worth the wait. They have fun games, a fire pit outside if you want to stay warm in the winter.Jenna was an amazing bartender with great suggestions. Recommend stopping in if you are in town or passing through!

Best restaurant to stop at along I-70. Awesome! All around, yup, definitely worth stopping here. We were traveling and decided to stop for dinner. The owners are world travelers and know food! They have an awesome drink menu of special house cocktails and the food menu is just awesome. We ordered the butternut squash enchiladas and seafood pasta bake. The flavors they put together are so incredibly good! And the portion size is large as well. The service was outstanding. We were seated promptly, the place is huge so lots of room, super attentive and friendly server, host and the whole kitten caboodle. We will make it a point to come back here when passing through again.

I travel this corridor frequently and have been to this restaurant 3 times for dinner. The first time I had a NY strip with a corn tamale side. The meat was just so-so and the tamale was wayyy too sweet. The second time I had a burger and fries which were well prepared. Tonight I had the special. A salmon pasta dish which was, again, just average. The side salad was fresh, but unremarkable. The salmon was mushy and the garlic bread was a slice of some sort of bread heavily buttered and soggy. The house wine was decent though. The service slow but friendly. The prices are wayyy too inflated and the restaurant is a bit pretentious boasting of farm to table food which seems disingenuous. However, for this stretch of I 70 highway it is the best you will get. Stick to the burgers and you probably won't go wrong.
