Our vet recommended we go with a raw meat diet for our cats, and Shine was one source that was suggested. So far, we've ordered from here twice (5lb packs of chicken, 5lb packs of rabbit), and our three cats are already showing an improvement in their health. Our diabetic cat is also in remission, although the change in food is probably a part contributor to this. Oh, as a bonus, you get knowledgeable, friendly service.

I’ve been ready to make food for Shiva, my Shepherd dog who has food for which he gets monthly injections or daily pills. We heard and read good things about Shine in Boulder, consulted with Anika there. She is an amazing and knowledgeable resource, and helped us to slowly switch from “commercial” to Shine dog food. The upshot is that we’ll also put our 3 cats on their “real” food. Thanks for being there for animal nutrition!

I went through so many dog foods before finding this place. I seriously have the pickiest eater of a dog, and I finally found a place where I can find food he will eat that is also nutritious for him. The staff is so knowledgeable. I’ve been going here for 4 years now, and they’ve helped me evolve his supplements and food as he gets into his older years and changes his eating habits. Also - the treats are fantastic - I won’t buy dogfood from anywhere else, and multiple friends have made the switch.

This is the only food anyone should be feeding their beloved pet friends/family. BEST QUALITY.I got a Siberian kitty who had digestion issues and herpes in his eye from stress of transition. Within 24 hours of switching him cold turkey to this food all his symptoms resolved. He chomps down on the chicken and Turkey meal dinners. And is the happiest healthiest kitty ever now. It’s only been a month and his coat has already drastically changed to a silky feel.This food is pure and biologically appropriate, it’s simple. I went to Shine after a recommendation from my vet. Stepping into the space, I was instantly asked if I needed help with anything. As it turned out, I did. I worked with someone there to find a recipe that worked for me. The employee also showed me a less expensive alternative to what I was purchasing, which I also ended up getting. I was grateful for the support, especially since it was close to closing time and they could have been disengaged.Shine itself seems like a good company from what I’ve read. They are very transparent in the communication about their products. There’s no fluff and packaging and ingredients seem like they are good for pets and the planet. I’m excited to become a regular.

Finding this place was such a huge blessing for us. Our senior dog was not doing well health wise and we kept wasting money with Veterinarians and not getting anywhere. In fact, one Veterinarian told us that our dog is just old and nothing could be done. When we came to Marty's Meals, we got such great support from the staff and we formed a plan to get our dog feeling better. She's been on Marty's Meals for quite a while now and doing SO well! We are thankful and so glad we found this healthy food for her and that it is helping to restore and sustain her health.

I can not express how grateful I am for Marty's Meals! My poor pup had been experiencing chronic GI upset for about a year. Nobody could put their finger on what exactly was going on. While I won't go into detail, he was put on an elimination diet (tilapia and peas...that's it) by a veterinary nutritionist and after the elimination period was over we were given minimal guidance and the guidance we were given really didn't work for our dog.We were absolutely desperate for a different diet for our dog that would not trigger the GI upset again but provided more nutritional value. Enter Marty's Meals. We slowly transitioned him onto one of their prepared meals and he is thriving! He absolutely LOVES the food and I feel confident and so pleased with the quality of the food - where it's sourced, it's nutritional value, how it's prepared, the whole shebang! I could not be happier and I know my dog is thrilled based on how excited he gets at mealtime. We have also been supplementing his diet with their raw goat kefir (locally soruced!) and feel this is not only helping him from a GI standpoint, but also with seasonal allergies.The staff is incredibly helpful and clearly has a great love for our canine and feline companions. They were completely understanding and helpful when I went in and explained my situation and were happy to provide as much information as they could to help make the best diet decisions for my dog.I am infinitely grateful Boulder has such an incredible resource. What a great place if you want to go raw! The staff is very friendly and helpful with every question you may have. They also collaborate with other pet loving professionals such as: dog trainers, animal communicators as well as chiropractic care for dogs and many others. Part of their collaboration sometimes will be holding a workshop to have you more involved, engaged and educated about your pets.
