Great place. I always go there for my lunch breaks when I'm in the area. Good selection of quick lunch meals too when I don't have time to prepare one beforehand. Just unfortunate that you need to ask for a bathroom key in order to use it.

Clean, but limited selection for such a large space. Not a lot of variety for basics like cottage cheese, vegetables, etc. Pricey if you don’t get their rewards app- but be warned if you do: there is NEVER a check out without their system not giving some or all of the digital coupon prices, no matter what you did to select them. So, don’t shop here if you want to save money but don’t have the time to comb through each receipt every visit and then wait for shorthanded customer service to correct all the pricing issues. And keep in mind that half the time they don’t credit the right amount of reward points earned and randomly delete rewards earned.

Went there this morning to get pastries only to find out they no longer make any type of pastry, only doughnuts. Extremely disappointing considering it's now extremely hard to find a good pastry. I don't understand why they even have a bakery anymore to be honest. The whole area was completely empty, looks like they are only baking doughnuts and cakes now. Also they are relatively expensive compared to other grocery chains.

Geoff, Jessica and Jeff are all great representatives of this Safeway. This store has had many transitions and this point it is working very well. Thank you for staffing employees that are compassionate and caring towards customers. AND hopefully you are also hiring those disabled that need work and are creating a positive work environment. Thank you!!! Ps jessica was leaving late and took the time to help me- excellent employees at this store now!!

This the closest grocery store to me and I have had the worst experiences here, this past Thursday the 25th, my son was approached by an employee in a very inappropriate way, and then continued attempting to approach him while we were shopping. That's is completely inappropriate. No child should ever be approached like that. It was extremely creepy and made me nervous for any child that is in your store.

The assistant manager named Jeff has been repeatedly snotty, rude and abrupt with me over the course of the last couple of months while I’m checking out. While bringing this up with some friends this weekend we shared a laugh because they’ve all had the same type of experiences with Jeff! If you go to the Safeway on 28th and Iris avoid this guy as best as you can if you don’t want your day to go south in a hurry.

4/20/24-Trying to use the restroom is a nightmare. They have it locked up. You have to try and track down the key. This is actually a form of discrimination against the elderly and people with disabilities because they need quick restroom access due to medical issues. Boycot this store until they change their practices.

Kevin refused to help me told me to avoid my transaction and go to the only register refused to help me scan a barcode in order to complete a transaction and instead made me wait 15 minutes in a line to check out for three items as he walked around with his hands in his pocket and looked at his phone.Literally could’ve taken 30 seconds out of his time to scan a barcode so that I could check out and he refused to do so. He also refused to open the second register when I’ve got a woman in front of me waiting 30 minutes.

While it's nice that Safeway occassionally sends me a coupon for a free item, about half the time it is out of stock. Today when I mentioned how frustrating this was to a worker, and they implied it was my fault for not getting there soon enough. Safeway sent me the coupon less than 24 hours ago! It's annoying to spend money and time getting to the store only to have it be a wasted trip.This feels very bait and switchy - like they are trying to trick me to come to the store without having to issue a free item.This is a solvable problem:* Only issue enough coupons for items you have in stock* Offer a replacement item of similar value* Order moreIt is also terribly frustrating that I have to spend so much energy clipping digital coupons and trying to shop sale items in order to avoid paying the high regular prices. Please consider switching to the Trader Joes model: everything is always a reasonable price and nothing is on sale.

Seriously, what the hell is up with "Jeff" at the self checkout? Is his job to make sure nobody ever comes back again? The guy responds to "hello" and "thank you" by looking at you as if he'd rather be anywhere else than where he is. Nobody being there at all would be a great improvement.

They have lots of food to choose from snack isle is extensive lots of yummy food, plenty of prime to choose from and lots of other sports drinks nice employees and nice that there is a Starbucks inside.

I went to Safeway during some kind of event, and I was worried it would be an issue but my checkout guy Jeff showed me how to get the app and to pre sign up for deals. He was really great. Safeway has been my regular shop for over 20 years and has always stayed consistent. Thanks Safeway!

I'm so fed up with this place. They have barcode coupons you can scan that haven't worked for WEEKS so last time I was there I took a picture of the deals and tried to show the lady at the register but she said she could only honor one of them, I ended up just saying fine and paying full price for my other items. Came in again today to buy some tide pods, same thing. App wouldn't scan the coupon so I took a picture of the deal and took it to self-checkout. Much to my annoyance it was the same woman as last time. I tried to explain to her that the barcode wasn't working and she just kept talking down to me saying I needed to scan it on the app despite me telling her MULTIPLE times that the app wasn't working and hadn't been working for a while. I ended up just handing it back to her and leaving.Don't offer deals you aren't going to honor. Never shopping at Safeway again, I'll drive the extra ten minutes to King Soopers.

I'm rating safeway high cause I had a really nice cashier. Lorry helped me get the digital coupon on my phone. She was so patient and nice. I love when people are nice, I had a great day after that. I wish every cashier would be like Lorry. I also save a few bucks with her help.. 👍

I’m just so done. One thing after another. Customer service is next to none existent. Only one checkout lane is ever open. It’s because they’re understaffed- no one wants to work in this bad environment. Plenty of expired food still sits on the shelves for sale. Tonight I sat down to eat my cooked broccoli only to find many, many dead teeny bugs embedded in each piece of green. I literally cried tears of frustration after that. Sooo done.

Just returned from Safeway. 9-25-2021.I received my third COVID 19 booster shot.Very happy to be safe.The pharmacy folks were really nice.Showed my vaccine card and filled out a form. Pretty painless procedure.Did a little shopping and headed home.Nice big store.

Great selection, terrible staffing. The staff they have are great, but they need way more to keep up. Almost every time I walk into the store there are no small carts and no baskets available and a few times no large carts. There's often one person handling the self checkout and no other lines open or check out. The pharmacy line is often 10 or 15 deep.Unfortunately, I think I'm done with the store for the time being. Hopefully the situation improves.

Did you know you can actually get Wagyu Steak at Safeway?!? It's only at the Safeway on 28th Street in Boulder. You can and it is insanely amazing! If you love steak, it is life changing. These Snake River Farm steaks melt in your mouth and taste like butter has been infused throughout the meat. These are far more reasonable than $100 at a restaurant and by far less than ordering online. A secret gem found at Safeway. Who would have imagined...

TERRIBLE PEOPLE VERY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS NEVER COMING BACK MY DOLLARS CAN BE SPENT ELSEWHERE- GET YOUR EGO STROKED ON YOUR OWN TIME HORRIBLE ALL AROUND..I understand understaffed overworked but the level of disrespect and disregard for safety, sanitary requirements, freshness of product on the shelves all bad. To insult a customer over a dollar difference is hateful..in this time we are in, after going thru isles seeing prices pushed up on expired product- no place for you in our marketplace and many of us WILL DRIVE MILES AWAY JUST TO NOT EXPERIENCE THIS STORE
