Highly Recommend! Sarah Walsh did such a great job working with our rescued hound mix Kallie. Sarah is a kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and effective trainer that uses humane evidence-based methods. K9 Wisdom offers flexible scheduling with in-home options for their private training sessions. They also provided super helpful resources too, including a detailed personalized “eBook” summary following each training session. I could not be more satisfied with our experience at K9 Wisdom - Kallie says Thank You Sarah!!

I highly recommend K9 Wisdom! Our dog has attended their group training sessions and their day school enrichment program. It is obvious that she loves going there each week! It is absolutely worth the 30-minute commute to get her there. The staff are amazing, and they have gotten to know our dog very well; they are as invested in her success as we are. They communicate at pick-up and through daily report cards about how her day went, what they worked on, and what we can continue to address at home. And they are willing to address targeted concerns that arise outside of daycare. Our high-energy dog has grown a lot and gained great skills with their help!

I cannot say how much I appreciate all the staff at K9 Wisdom. I first used Kat to help with a dog problem where I thought I might have to re-home one of my dogs. She helped me work through the issues and it was so much better at home. More recently I have taken some classes and had some private training sessions with Sarah to help with my new puppy Ruby who is now 19 months old. Ruby had reactivity to other dogs anytime she would see them, especially on leash. She does so much better now, I hardly have any issues with her barking or lunging at other dogs. It has been so much more fun to take on walks or anywhere for that matter. I have been taking Ruby to the daycare at K9 Wisdom and she loves it, she gets very excited when we get there and she sees where she is. The training Ruby has received there has been so valuable to her and has helped make her a better dog that we can really enjoy!

I love this dog training school! Taking my 9 month old pup to his Saturday training sessions is the highlight of my weekend. The trainers are clear, calm, and clearly love what they do. The facility is clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The group classes are small enough to feel intimate, but large enough to where your dog can get used to being around other dogs in a calm environment. I’ll definitely be taking more training classes here in the future.

I was so reluctant to sign up for Puppy Kindergarten as I had little experience with dog training. It has been such a wonderful experience for our puppy Stella and for me! I look forward to each week and what we will learn and the hour class goes really fast. Sarah (and helper Chrissy?) are kind, helpful and have a sense of humor about life with puppies. I would recommend this class to anyone with a puppy.

Highly recommend! My pup and I worked with Sarah in private sessions to help with his reactivity. She was great!! She was extremely knowledgeable, great with my pup and nonjudgmental. She taught me a ton of skills to help him for the rest of his life. She was also easy to schedule and flexible.

Cathie is the BEST dog trainer - HANDS DOWN!!! She uses this wonderful training method called clicker training. It not only gets the dogs learning but it's a great way to transition into getting the dogs to think for themselves, and offer up behaviors. She is such a wonderful, gracious person, and dog lover that she does a dog training class, called K9 Coaches, at a Fort Collins shelter, Animal House. She trains volunteers how to train and work with dogs - because she cares that much about the lives of the shelter pups, and wants them to be fulfilled, and find Forever Homes!! Just Wonderful - right?! We have learned so much over the past 3 months of weekly trainings it is just so outstanding. The puppies who are very energetic and may take that energy out in negative ways, now have a bunch of wonderful trainers that can engage them, and stimulate them mentally to give that energy a good outlet. She is also SOOO very patient while she trains you - yes, I said you! Training dogs is second nature for her, and when you get to watch her work, you'll know what I mean - but training people is really where her business is going to thrive. I went into the classes feeling I had a pretty good idea of how dogs communicated to us, and of the couple training techniques I thought I had.... but I definitely had learning to do. She helped me through that, and no matter how many attempts it took me to get it right, she patiently helped me through it. She is not only a wonderful dog trainer, but she is someone who can be of HUGE HELP to shelter pups, and is also a Wonderful person!! I mean what more can you ask for?!?! I HIGHLY recommend her, and would give her 20 stars if that was an option. Thanks Cathie for all your help in making me a better trainer, so that I can make a real difference in the lives of those pups I get to meet!! I didn't take any pictures during our actual training classes, which I should have, but I uploaded some pictures of two adorable pups I worked with after one of Cathie's amazing classes - teaching them both how to sit and lay down with clicker training and treats. Estes learned both within 10 minutes, and Rowan learned both within 20 minutes - talk about QUICK!

I am so excited that Cathie is now offering daycare for her clients! And it's not just daycare, it is daycare on steroids! Most daycares just provide playtime for the dogs. Cathie is providing productive daycare that allows for training, rest time, play time and leash work; just to name a few! I have known Cathie for 6 years, and prior to moving from CO to TN she worked with both my dogs. She provides the best training and rehabilitation for dogs, and holds herself and her staff to a very high standard. Since leaving CO, I still consult with her on training methods. I would give my left kidney to have someone of her quality and standard where I live. Your family WILL NOT be disappointed with her daycare service.

I have known Cathie for almost 5 years, and she is the best thing that has ever happened to my dog and me. It has been a long road, but with Cathie's guidance and patience she has helped us in so many ways. I had dogs before, but never an anxious one, Cathie has taught me so much about signs to look for and just how to work with him in general. We just started the Enrichment Center and only after two visits there has been a such a change, there is nothing like going to pick up your anxious dog at the end of the day and seeing the biggest dog grin on his face. Over the years I have seen Cathie and her staff help all sorts of dogs, reactive dogs, anxious dogs and normal dogs (yes she doesn't only specialize in dogs with issues). You will not regret taking your dog to Cathie, her staff and her truly love what they do and want the best for you and your fur baby! If I could I would give 100 stars, 5 isn't enough!

Sarah Walsh, is an incredible dog trainer! Patient, attentive, thorough, and strategic. I cannot thank her enough! My dog Albert (a collie) and I began training with Sarah last year. Albert is a smart, high energy dog. Before training with Sarah, Albert had been able to "figure me out". Albert's behavior was responsive enough, that I felt I had a handle on things and didn't need training. But, he inevitably kept slipping back into old habits, like chasing motorcycles and skateboards.Sarah worked out a program with me, where we met intermittently over the course of 10 months. She started with a baseline of training, then developed a framework to structure Albert's success. We progressively worked through different scenarios so that she was able to teach me skills to set up Albert for success for the rest of his life.I will add I had a few major life events over the course of 10 months, and Sarah was more than kind to work with me throughout these, without any judgement. She certainly went above and beyond what I would have ever expectedThank you Sarah!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cathie! She is AMAZING with dogs with (any type) of behavioral issues! From a shy, under-socialized dog to an aggressive, reactive dog. Not only is she an amazing dog trainer, she is smart, funny, gracious and patient. On top of all this, she is an excellent communicator! In addition to being an AMAZING DOG TRAINER for K9 Wisdom, Cathie donates her time at the Animal House Rescue to coaching volunteers in helping the dogs there learn good behavioral skills so that they can become more adoptable! How COOL is that! and so important for these shelter dogs! I am fortunate enough to be one of her students and the skills Cathie has taught me will stay with me a long time! If you are in need of learning some dog training skills for your dog and teaching your dog GOOD BEHAVIOR you won't regret a minute of your time with Cathie!

Being a single dog parent of two rescue pups with their own unique issues, I knew formal training was vital. Cathie came highly recommended from the dog's foster Mom, and after an initial consultation, I instantly realized why.Cathie utilizes scientifically proven training methods to yield measurable, rewarding results in dog's behavior. She doesn’t promise the world and is a straightforward, practical instructor. Cathie's guidance and willingness to help on an individual basis is also tremendous. Yes, my dogs are better behaved, and our daily training regimen is fantastic and fulfilling; however, the resultant increased bond we've built is what truly made the courses at K9 Wisdom 5+ stars.Additionally, Cathie educates you, as an owner, on foundational dog behavior and psychology. My fundamental, everyday approach to my dogs has dramatically changed. Every interaction is a training opportunity, and the impact is incredible. All our lives have benefited – both at and outside the home.Make no mistake, you're only going to get as much out of training as you put into it outside the weekly facility hours. Positive reinforcement is a training tool, not a magic wand. You must commit to a lifestyle change to truly experience the results. If you’re serious about helping your dogs, building a bond and learning how to be a better owner, K9 Wisdom is the perfect conduit to success. On behalf of Mesa and Otis, thank you, Cathie Lee!

Travis and K9 wisdom helped my 6 month old German Shepard Radar and I so much in the Beyond Basics course!! Travis helped break down issues we had, helped us become very knowledgeable owners, and made sure we were comfortable with the materials for home. Everyone was so kind at K9 Wisdom and loved every pup! Shoutout to Travis who is Radars favorite teacher!!!

Cat and K9 wisdom training changed our lives drastically. I could not be happier that we found her and decided to go forward with training. In February of 2020, I adopted a four year old Bluetick coonhound, that had been surrendered by his mom who couldn't care for him, as she was getting health treatments for herself. After 6 months in a shelter, he was a mess! He was on large amounts of trazadone and fluoxitine, both doggy anxiety suppressors, but neither seemed to positively change his behavior. I weaned him off both medications at the recommendation of his vet. However, his anxiety and reactivity to EVERYTHING continued. It was months of frustration, tears and yelling. He would pace, yell, scratch doors and whine non-stop. I couldn't walk him to get energy out because he would scream at anything that moved, and get scary aggressive at the sight of another dog, even a dog two miles away. It was putting a huge strain on my relationship with my sister and my husband, both who had enough of the tantrums. A coworker recommend Cathie to us and that forever changed our lives. The first day we met Cathie, Hobson fell in love! Finally, someone who understood him and could help teach his mom (me) how to help him get what he needed. We have completed a specialized Rowdy Rovers course (alone), and the All Star Adventure class (with other pups!) This was something I never thought would be a possibility. We are able to walk passed a yard with barking, crazy dogs, and have little to no reactivity! We will continue to take any class we can with K9 wisdom, it continues to provide positive learning for both me and my pup. Hobson is finally able to be relaxed and happy in our home, and I couldn't be more relieved.I am so proud of the fine young man Hobson has become, all thanks to the amazing work of Cat (Ms. Cathie to Hobs🙂) and K9 wisdom.

We can't thank Cathie and her team enough for the support and training they've given Izzy and Toby - and us - over the last two years. We started with Sarah coming to do in-home (and in-workplace!) training when the Basset boys were just pups, and then graduated to the Enrichment Center off Garfield. That we can take Izzy and Toby into many different locations - including now in our new home in the mountains near Buena Vista - and know that they'll stay well-behaved and close to us - is a testament to the professionalism and love that K9 Wisdom has given them. Thank you Cathie, Sarah, Kallie, Maddy and the rest of the team!PS Really cool website full of video training and support!

Going to K9 Wisdom has been one of the best investments that I've made for Fly, he has been attending since his Puppy Kindergarten class. For the last 4 years he has been going to K9 Wisdom's Enrichment Center, Enrichment Center Day is now his favorite day of the week! When he first started he wasn't sure how to socialize with other dogs and now he enjoys it! He loves working with Trainer Jordan Flagg, she has helped him improve his heeling and loose leash walking, she also gives him a challenge by introducing him to new skills. Jordan is an awesome trainer! Cathie and her team are incredible, I highly recommend K9 Wisdom for all your training needs, it is worth the investment!

I took the K9 Coach class and I learned a ton about dog behavior. Kathy has a deep knowledge of dogs and a passion for rescue dogs . This was very apparent and appreciated during the class. She uses training methods based on scientific research and empathy for the dog's well being. After researching many different training techniques, I am glad I found a trainer who shares the same philosophy of dog care that I do. She teaches techniques that are effective and humane, while always keeping the dog's needs in mind. I highly recommend her for any owner who wants the best for their dog.

I recently took the K9 Coach course with Cathie Lee and learned so much about dog behavior and body language. It is very clear that she is compassionate towards her clients, very knowledgeable, and truly has a passion for rescue work. I will definitely be coming to see her next time I add a new pup to the family :)

I have been going to K9 Wisdom Training and Consulting, LLC since I adopted my dog, Corbin seven years ago. As a new dog owner, Cathie gave me the skills I needed to handle a wild, stubborn, but sweet little tornado my dog was. The clicker training was very effective with the help of lots of positive treats. She really brought out my dog's silly personality while encouraging him to be a well trained dog. She created a great bond with my dog and I am honored she took her time to really get to know him for his training.Around 4 years ago, through some turn of events, my dog became the only dog in our home and he became so sad and lonely. That's when I took him the Enrichment Center. Kallie, Sarah, Maddy, and everyone at K9 Wisdom made my dog feel like he was the king of the world. You could tell that everyone at K9 Wisdom really loves dogs and getting them to be their best selves. They taught him how to make new friends and have fun surrounded by lots of dogs. He has made such good relationships, dog and human over the four years at the Enrichment Center. I noticed my dog beginning to go on walks a lot easier with less pulling as he went to the Enrichment Center more and more. He learned so many new skills while he was there. At a certain point, I thought maybe he didn't need the Enrichment Center as much as other dogs might need it but whenever we would pull onto the street K9 Wisdom was on, Corbin would start to wag his tail, bounce around in the trunk of my car, and bark. He LOVES it here. I am so glad I decided to start his training journey here. He is better for it and an amazing dog!

We found K9 Wisdom and Sarah Walsh after some initial group dog training that just didn't really work well for our English Mastiff puppy as all he wanted to do was play with the other puppies. After chatting with Sarah, we decided to best course of action was some private training classes. Our sweet Charlie made UNBELIEVABLE progress in just 5 short weeks. Sarah's approach to training is 100% focused on positive reinforcement and aims to make training fun which results in total buy in for the dog. Charlie gets incredibly excited whenever we grab his leash or training treats and immediately falls right into training mode. Before, we weren't really able to do walks on a leash due to unbridled excitement but now we can walk around the neighborhood or introduce Charlie to new people without Charlie forgetting the importance of sitting, recall, controlled greeting, etc. We are relocating to a new state within a few short weeks and Sarah even helped us find trainers in our new area that share the same training philosophy as K9. I just cannot say enough good things about Sarah and K9 Wisdom. I only wish I had found them sooner!

The best dog training facility and trainer in northern Colorado. My unsocialized rescue puppy is now a year old and confident, social, brave and just graduated from the Intermediate All Star class yesterday!

Cathie was incredibly helpful with advice and training recommendations on our aggressive dog. She was blunt and upfront about the situation; as owners it was something we desperately needed. She didn't try to up-sell us on training packages or prepaid lessons, instead she gave us candid advice and helped my family work though the situation. When it came time for us to get another puppy, she worked with us through the process to find a breeder and evaluate potential puppies. We've laughed and we've cried working with Cathie, and overall, are better off as a result of her support.

Cathie is a fantastic trainer and I would recommend her to anyone, whatever issues they are experiencing with their dog. I was very impressed at how in-tune to my dog's mental state and motivations Cathie was. She was able to quickly assess my dog and develop a plan of action that produced results. She REALLY knows her stuff. She was very knowledgeable on modern dog training techniques and didn't use methods based on outdated beliefs. Her methods are force-free and will help to build a better relationship with your dog in the process.I also appreciated that she was very easy to talk to, and was able to explain things in a way that made sense. She was really fun to work with.

Cathie is not only a wonderful person but an amazing trainer who has taken me under her wing and taught me all there is to know about dog training. I am an aspiring future dog trainer who is still learning lots of the tricks of the trade, and Cathie has been nothing but generous and more than willing to teach me. Through my time with her, I have seen countless transformations of both dogs and their owners. Obviously this describes the perfect person to have as a dog trainer. I highly, highly recommend her, you and your pooch will not regret it!

I just finished taking Cathie Lee's K9 coach class. I learned so much about handling and training all types of dogs in a shelter environment. Cathie is very knowledgeable, a great teacher, and I really appreciate her advocacy for shelter dogs through this program. My handling skills have improved greatly as a result of this course, and I now feel much more comfortable walking and training more challenging dogs!I imagine it is very difficult to teach a course to a dozen volunteers over several months, with different dogs each week. I think part of what allowed Cathie to be successful in this challenging educational environment was the fact that she has a team of skilled trainers, like Sara Walsh who assisted with the k9 coach class, available to help. Having additional trainers available in a group class setting is so important, as it allowed Cathie to break the class out into smaller groups, or keep the overall class moving while Sarah assisted anyone who was struggling with a difficult dog or a tough concept. The ability to provide individual attention within a group class setting was greatly appreciated!

Cathie is the best!!! I have a 2 year old Sheltie who was extremely reactive on-the-leash around other dogs when I first brought her to Cathie. The improvement in my dog's behavior to date is spectacular! Cathie is extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient and friendly. She provides you a weekly, written program with incremental steps that build on themselves to help you achieve success. In addition, she is always available via e-mail/text to answer questions. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and we now have a set of skills and techniques we can use for life. I wholeheartedly recommend Cathie's services whether you have a problem dog like mine or you have a new puppy that you're just looking to teach the basics to. Her methods really work!!

K9 Wisdom is the best investment you could ever make in your dog!! Cathie Lee is incredible and shows so much love for each and every dog. The enrichment center has made the biggest difference for Gracie. It’s her favorite day of the week and even just after the first week, her behavior improved significantly! She stopped jumping on people she was first meeting or anyone who came by the house, plus her focus on all other training improved greatly. The controlled socialization helped her to play nicely and not overwhelm other dogs at dog parks which is a huge blessing. She learned to heel and walk with a loose leash after a few sessions. Cathie Lee, Sarah and Indie show such a high level of care and the detailed report cards are so helpful in knowing how to work with her at home. I cannot thank the team enough for all the hard work and dedication they put into this facility ❤️🐾 K9 Wisdom truly is the best for all training and care needs! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants the best care for their pupper. Thank you for bringing so much joy into Gracie’s life ❤️

Cathie runs the greatest dog training and daycare center I could ever dream up for my dog, Henrik. We're on our 3rd training course with Cathie and we learn something amazing every class. She learns about your dog really quickly and helps you tailor your training to your dogs needs and interests. She also helps you improve your own skills as a dog trainer, explaining it in a clear and non-judgmental way. The greatest thing Cathie does though is the Enrichment Center. Henrik was not very successful at another daycare center where he was overwhelmed by playing with tons of dogs all day. He was stressed and would nip at the dogs and daycare attendants. At the Enrichment Center, Henrik learns to play nicely with other dogs, gets breaks with a Kong when he's overwhelmed, gets one-on-one walks with a trainer, and works on training all day long. All the trainers are amazing and give us detailed report cards each time he goes to daycare. Henrik has learned how to walk on a loose leash, wait at doors, stay until he's called, and so much more. He's always so eager to show up at K9 Wisdom and is calm and confident when we pick him up. What a change! I tell EVERYONE to go see Cathie whether it's for training or daycare. She's magical!
