We had a great experience at Willits Veterinary Hospital after another vet clinic canceled us when we’d driven an hour to get there. The folks at Willits were kind and welcoming. Dr. John was knowledgeable and helpful about our cat’s condition.

A few years back lil' Pearl the Pomeranian broke her jaw playing with the big dogs and it was Willits Veterinary Hospital took immediate and excellent care of her. Now with the valley growing in population as it has, so has Willits Veterinary Hospital which was extremely advantageous to Astro's needs recently. We were able to diagnose, treat and follow up between the two locations over the course of 4 days to have a tumor removed from Astro that would have killed him if not addressed immediately. Astro had not been to a veterinarian since 2016 and when he needed it most Dr John and his staff were there for him. They truly make you feel like you are their number one client and that you are the most important person and animal in the room. Astro and Pearl both give Dr John and his peers two paws up! Thank you very much from the Bell family.

WVH in Basalt has been great for me and my 9 month old Havanese, Piper. They responded quickly when he was attacked in the neck by another dog. They answer all my dumb questions about puppy care since I am 73 and never had a dog before. Piper was recently neutered and has recovered well with no complications as he had one testicle that had not dropped down. I can’t say enough about the ladies who answer the phone. They are so supportive and kind. Dr. Doug, our vet, is young, smart, caring, and knowledgeable about the emotional health of dogs. His vet techs are also super. Whenever I call to request Piper’s records, they are sent right away.I feel very lucky to have this resource here in the Valley.

Our dog had a problem with a ear that kept her up and us almost every night. We looked online and found Willits Veterinarian. My wife called and they were able to get our dog in to be seen the next day. We were anticipating a fairly heavy price tag to be seen so quickly and on a Saturday. Front staff was nice and helpful, the office was very clean and presents very well. We were able to see the vet, he spent as much time answering our questions and looking over our dog. When we left expecting a heavy price it was not to be. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience from end to end and 100% will be back!

Dr. Kuck and staff were tremendous through the whole process of saving her life, dealing with ongoing procedures to continue on with an incredible and healthy recovery. We love Willits Vet! I adore Dr. Bahr. He is so knowledgeable, and he cares for my dogs so well. We had to put our dog down last year, and I can't imagine any other clinic making the process so smooth for us during such a difficult time. We even got a handwritten note from Dr. Bahr a few weeks later which was so appreciated. He went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible for us.We have seen several other Vets at the clinic, and they are great, too. The staff is super friendly, and they take amazing care of our 4-legged family members.

Our experience has been so outstanding every time we’ve brought our dog Kai in. Thoughtful, timely, caring, professional... An example: Kai had a lump removed from her eye and a few days later a slight infection developed. John her veterinarian was off and but I sent pictures to the Vet tech, she forwarded them to John (on his day off). Heard back within 10 minutes, prescription for antibiotics was already filled for her! They really care about the well being of the animals. Highly recommend.

There is no better place to receive care for your pet. The entire staff is excellent! From the time you walk through the front door, you are met and greeted by someone who cares. The front desk staff are always super busy, but they do care! The Tech's, and the Dr's, both have an interest in your pet and you!

The doctors and staff here are caring and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my dogs are well cared for. The prices are more than fair if one considers the educational, operational, and cost of living in our area. Think about what it costs to go to your human doctor or emergency room. Veterinarians go through very similar training.

They go above and beyond what is “required.” They take time to answer questions, listen (which is rare), and persevere through challenging situations such as short staffing; all done with a smile and genuine kindness and very reasonable prices. I went to their clinic for the first time today when my kitten Lucy suddenly couldn’t open her left eye. They were able to get me in same-day within 2 hours of calling! The office was super clean, no strange smells, everyone was incredible friendly and personable. I definitely appreciated the Wi-Fi access because Willits can be a dead zone for AT&T. Even the office cat was a sweetheart. I just moved down to Willits from Aspen so was nervous about switching vet clinics, but this experience couldn’t have gone better! They definitely didn’t try to push their services on Lucy, and did what was absolutely necessary to help her. Overall, very affordable pricing and they are now my vet for as long as I live here!
