We took our Husky Mishka to Pretty Paws for her first grooming. The staff at Pretty Paws were very friendly and welcoming and immediately put us at ease. They took their time with Mishka and kept us very well updated the whole time she was there. Kayla did an amazing job with her . She looks absolutely beautiful and feels so much better with all of her undercoat gone. We were told by several places that they won't take Huskies but Pretty Paws had no issue and they were very knowledgeable on how to groom a Husky. Their prices are reasonable and our dog looks beautiful. Thanks again Kayla, you did a wonderful job

I used to stress about bringing my poodles to the salon. My first dog was always stressed out and was in kennels for hours and hours because the salons were overbooked and then I’d get told that he was a terror. I do express to be fair, but my dogs love coming here. The staff are SO nice and they do the best grooms I’ve ever gotten. I took my new mill dog rescue here and not only did he look amazing but he came home happy and totally relaxed. 10/10 would recommend. I feel they genuinely care for your animal here!

I took my kitten Percy to Pretty Paws after he got something heinous and stinky stuck in his tail. I called around and couldn’t find anyone who could take him right away, but when I called Pretty Paws I think they could hear the desperation in my voice and they fit me in! Staff were accommodating and nice, they got him all clean, trimmed his nails, and gave him a sanitary trim in the area where the mess was. When I picked him up he was just as confident and happy as he always is. Everything was done quickly and well and all of the interactions I saw them have with my cat and others’ pets were caring and loving!

I brought my Australian shepherd in for an overdue bath and cut. When scheduling I asked if they had experience with Aussies and I was assured they did. My husband dropped off and said to go as short as they can without damaging her undercoat. They apparently took this as shaving my Aussie down to 1/2 an inch all over her entire body… I have never in my life been so shocked upon seeing my dog returned from the groomer. While she did have matting on her butt hair, the rest of her coat was fine and did not require to be shaved that short. They also admitted that they had three people “hold her down” while shaving her coat this short, as they said she was shaking and crying the entire time… lastly, when all 3 of my dogs got home they each spent about 5 minutes at the water bowl chugging water… they were at the groomer from 9:30am-2pm, were they not provided with water that entire time? From the way they would not leave the water bowls, it absolutely seems that way. I will never use this business again and would caution anyone with a particular breed that requires skill and experience with the coat because this groomer is clearly lacking on every level. The lady at the front even admitted she thought my Aussie looked badly, but yet they thought it was an acceptable job?! Absolutely sick and disgusted with the way my animals were treated and work they did. I would give -5 stars if that were an option.Editing my response to respond to the salon.There is clearly not a standard check in process and discussion about what was wanted because if that were the case, both myself and husband would not have been in complete shock when we saw our dog. You are absolutely lying when you say that you stated you were going to cut our dog down to 1/2 an inch because that would have immediately been addressed. We were under the impression that your salon was going to cut our dog as short as her coat could go within the realm of a standard Aussie cut. Which is why when we scheduled we specifically asked if there was experience with cutting Aussies. We would NEVER had agreed to your salon cutting her down to 1/2 an inch ALL over her body.Cutting a dog down to 1/2 an inch all over her body did not require any skill or experience, that is something I could have done at home myself, not paid to be completely shocked and disappointed.In addition to you cutting her that short without discussing that with as, the cut itself is absolutely terrible and the groomer herself even stated that she did not believe that the dog looked nice.We are fully aware of the grooming process of an Aussie and have never experienced the lack of professionalism, communication, and quality of work that we did at this salon.We were also told the owner would be contacting us today? Still waiting on that.Also not sure how you can attest that my dog was not harmed when she was held down by three people as I am assuming you are one of the people who assisted in holding her down?Your salon has done absolutely nothing to ease our complete disappointment in the job done, you have taken no accountability for the lack of communication in checking in the dog and following pick up.Your lack of professionalism overall is evident and in your business and your work.

I moved to Aurora recently and had trouble finding someone that could handle my dog’s hair (he has a lot of it) and although he gets groomed regularly, grooming him is not for the faint of heart. Joanne and Mike did such a wonderful job with my dog Bear that they gained a regular customer, I would highly recommend them to anyone! I am so happy that we were recommended to them by our previous groomers after moving. Thank you for understanding Bear’s needs Joanne and Mike!

I'm sure grooming services are all overwehlmed these days, when I couldnt get in to a groomer I had used for over 8 years, I tried Pretty Paws. The appointment was within a week! YAY! The groomer was SO nice! I will be back. The groom was great! The people are NICE!

The best grooming my husky has ever had! Many places I've called don't take huskies anymore and they were able to get us in the next day. Roman hadn't had a grooming in forever, he came in thick and matted. This was the first time he's had a haircut look so natural and not a choppy mess. Definitely felt like a family that cares here and not like a business trying to sell you on services. Thank you so much, Stephanie and everyone at pretty paws!

My Mini Aussie is a big ball of anxiety and I was nervous about getting him groomed. Pretty Paws is so patient with my little guy and they always manage to give him a great haircut even if he's scared and wiggly. I love this groomer.

The absolute worst. I brought my chihuahua in to dye her ears, tail, paws and a front nail trim. I was told it would take only 2-3 hours. They told me she was done 6 HOURS LATER. When I came to pick her up they had barely dyed her fur, they hadn’t even cut her nails, or blow dried her. I was left with a dog that had one blue ear, only half a blue tail, and only one of her paw-nails trimmed. They didn’t even dye her paws. When I asked why they didn’t, the said it was because “they tried to dye them pink but the dye didn’t stick”. I never even asked for pink paws.

I'll give 2 stars based on the fact when Nathan cuts our dogs it usually goes pretty well...We're usually pretty happy with this place but the last time was a complete mess. Not necessarily happy with how the dogs looks either.The lady that does the front desk is really awkward. Every single time we go in she loses our cards and tries to insist they have never been there... even though they have been there every 3 months for the last 2 years. This past time she was basically incoherent when speaking and seemed like she was completely out of it. I don't mind paying the prices because we have been paying them for a while... But, when I went to get the dogs this last time she said "we charged 10 more..." then it was followed by a bunch of incoherent mumble and slurring of words.The dogs also came home super stressed and were shaking for about 2 days after... This is alarming because one of the dogs typically loves haircuts and never comes home acting weird. She said one of the dogs was bad, which I'm not denying... but she's never been bad before that. The last time she was cut, the groomer handling her actually said "she was the most well behaved dog we had today."Hate to be that person, but animals do feed off the energy of the people they're around. I think this employees weird energy had the dogs a little un-settled. They usually come home super calm and happy when Nathan or the other lady groom them.We might go back and just request Nathan (we might start looking around as well)... but I don't want people that don't seem completely there handling my dogs. That can lead to something bad.Edit: Pretty Paws followed through and did everything they said they were going to do. I’m changing my review back to 5 stars.

I’m heartbroken that I didn’t find Pretty Paws for my senior pup earlier than I did. Grooming was always a stressful experience for him untilwe brought him here. For the first time I picked him up and he wasn’t shaking or crying. They even allowed me to stay with him while his nails were being trimmed to keep him calmer since he tended to snip due to his arthritis. They did a great job with his hair cut, he looked like a puppy again when I picked him up (before and after pics below)! Unfortunately my sweet boy passed away last week..i’m just so grateful that his last groom was with people who genuinely cared about him and took the time to make sure he wasn’t stressed or scared or in pain.

Been trying to find a groomer for my 7 month old puppy. Pretty Paws was a great find! Stephanie did a wonderful job getting her use to a positive grooming experience. The environment was very welcoming. Stephanie is such a dog lover, she is gentle, caring, & patient with the grooming. I highly recommend anyone to try Pretty Paws Pet Grooming.

Loving grooming shop and Joanne is awesome! She cares about my dog and his health along with his well being. She is so organized and the customer service is wonderful. My two little dogs look terrific after they are groomed by her. I highly recommend Pretty Paws for your pet.

Joanne always does a wonderful job of grooming my two Shih Tzu. We live over by Red Rocks, and it is TOTALLY WORTH the drive over to Smoky Hill Rd. The price is reasonable, and my two dogs are never anxious to walk in the door of the grooming salon.

I took my two dogs today for the first time. Awesome groomers! Stephanie did my Keeshond and she looked better than any grooming she's had before. My little poodle is a former puppy mill dog and very afraid of people. They did her first and called me so that I could pick her up. They had put her in an area with a blanket and she seemed very comfortable. Nathan groomed the poodle and did a great job. They seemed so concerned about my dogs being comfortable and not stressed and I appreciated so much them taking the time to understand their personalities so that this was a good experience for them. Definitely recommend!

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I brought my puppy in and Joanne just shaved him super short all over when I said do not cut his fur too short. I paid before even seeing the grooming job that she did. I regret giving her a tip. I did not even recognize my dog. His leash was full of urine and he was stressed out. He had severe acid reflux. She did not even give him one of the treats that I sent with him. I doubt that she used the shampoo that I sent too. She also shaved a bald spot under his ear. She was unfriendly towards me from the start, I should have ran for the hills. It is the most ugly and horrible pet grooming that I have ever seen. People that do not care about pets should not be groomers.

I took my cat to Pet**** several times to get her nails clipped, and they were very dis-engaged with her and they had dogs on the table right next to her, she was very agitated and anxious. When I tried to make a third appt 3 weeks later they said that she was difficult to work with. I decided to try Pretty Paws, when I brought my cat in Joanne immediately started petting her and talking to her which she liked, when Joanne put her on the table she continued petting and talking to her while she quickly clipped the nails, she was done within 20 seconds, it was beautiful. My cat was not anxious after the clipping. I was so impressed. I would recommend going to Pretty Paws for anyone who wants sweet care and attention when you need your cat groomed

Not a recommended place for grooming anymore. My husband brought our Newfoundland back, and the result was shocking. They shaved the dog’s belly in an unsightly manner without even asking us. While I understand not all groomers are familiar with Newfoundland grooming, this was unexpectedly poor. Moreover, the prices have doubled.

I wish I had discovered Pretty Paws sooner. Our recent first visit was genuinely the best grooming experience that my little guys (a Westie and a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix) have ever had. There was a comprehensive intake process, they didn't have to be there for most of the day, and Joanne did an exceptional job with their cuts. We'll definitely be back, thank you!
