Huge thanks to Malachi!!! First time brining my dog to this location & it’s the FIRST time he’s had an all amazing positive experience with a groomer! He’s so happy & all clean smelling AMAZING. I definitely found my forever groomer for my dog. I highly recommend him to anyone who has does with anxiety & who are nervous and need that extra care. Also hooked us up with great PETCO deals & helped me pick his bath and add ons to help him with his anxiety which I really appreciate since I’m a little new to this. Thanks again! ✨☺️

I was told to bring my dog 3 hours early, so I did. Still took 6 hours and the groomer, Malachi forgot her paw pads, taking an extra 30 minutes when we came to pick her up. Groomer completely ruined my dog. Long haired german Shepards cannot have their hair too short and the groomer made her look shaved. We asked for a trim, so for her to look shaved? This could ruin how she regulates her temperature, this is a health issue and no one took it seriously. Don’t book here, you’re better off anywhere else.

Our dog smelled great, but his cut wasn’t to my expectations based on the picture I showed them. Also, I’m not sure if it’s typical to cut a dogs eye lashes, but I should have requested them not to. I understand under the circumstances of my dogs young age that his body wasn’t shaved, but I wish I’d know beforehand when booking because that was the biggest reason I wanted him groomed. I wasn’t told until I dropped him off that they probably wouldn’t be able to do it and there’s a 48 hour cancellation policy. Therefore, I couldn’t back out.

I have a new puppy and he has never been groomed so i decided to take him to PETCO, the horrible experience began with the shave. I showed the groomer a picture and she stated she was not going to be able to groom him the way I wanted because he had two very tiny mats on his shoulders which could have been brushed out. I should have walked out then but I left my dog there. I received a call that my dog was ready so I headed over there and got some traffic on the way. Buy the time I walked in it was 5:20. They close at 5. The manager was a complete jerk and told me that he would not be able to take my dog if I picked him up late again. It’s an inconvenience to have a dog sitting there 20 min after the shift end. I won’t return and will let everyone know that the groomers are great but the manager is a complete idiot!

Set up my dog for grooming at 80th and Wadsworth location with a set price around $26. When I dropped off my dog i wanted her teeth brushed which she said was $12 but if I got the $32 package it was included. So I opted for that and a 5.99 desheding shampoo. I go pick up my dog and its $75!! She charged me for original package and an whole additional package of $32. This groomer a rip off and id say stay away from them!!

I called to make an appointment and they had an opening the next day for my two large dogs. They did such an incredible job de-shedding my double coated dog and a basic bath for the other. The employees were so friendly and helpful, and my dogs came home smelling great and seeming well cared for.

I used to take my dog here regularly to get her nails trimmed. It was easy, quick, and the groomers were always friendly.Yesterday, I tried to bring my dog in for a trim at about 5pm, an hour before closing at 6pm. The grooming area was dark and the door locked. When I found an employee she mentioned that they’re short staffed and they close early now most days - at 4/4:30 depending on the day. When I asked about the hours posted outside or on Google she responded they can’t change them. So completely wrong information about hours to customers in any place they might look, and also no set time for when your service is even in operation.Not entirely deterred yet, I thought I would be able to solve this problem if I just showed up early enough. I come back again the next day (before 3:30 this time). Now there’s a new sign on the door that says no walk ins. The best part of this is that maybe half of their grooming services are not available by appointment (including the service I was looking for - nail trim/ear cleaning). The groomer who comes to attend to me says I could come back in an hour (for the third time) or make an appointment with her, or call the store to make an appointment at another time because “for some reason online it doesn’t allow you to make an appointment for that”.I don’t blame the groomers, and I totally understand that if you don’t have the staff you have to flex around it. That being said, the store management is clearly asleep at the wheel here. There is zero communication about what this store can actually provide and when. I won’t bother wasting my time hoping for the best again.

Great store. And Kayleigh is amazing. She was cashiering but had no one in line so she immediately offered assistance. She quickly found the medicine my dog needed and I was in and out if there in 2 minutes. Thank you Kayleigh!!!!!

I had a great experience today! My dog's groomer, Jacey was wonderful. And Kyle really went the extra mile, he's so friendly and helpful. I've been going to this Petco location for 6 years now and their staff are always so great. My dogs and I always look forward to going there! Thank you Kyle and Jacey!! You guys are the best!!!

It was was a horrible experience all around. I adopted my dog from the DDFL shelter, which was traumatizing for him. I had to make a special appointment for that reason. I didn't want to leave him there, w/o me being close by, but they don't have any seating. When I was called to pick him up, his hair was cut way too short. It's cold out because it's still winter, hello! I brought him home and he kept licking an area near his shoulder. Turns out he had been cut during the grooming. 🤬 This is exactly why I didn't want to leave him there, w/o me being there. I got a full refund the next day. I will never take any of my pets for grooming or anything else, at Petco groomers. I won't buy the dog's food there either. And they charged nearly $100 for a small dog. They charge for every little thing, like nail clipping and nail buffing are two separate charges. Shouldn't that come under the umbrella of "grooming?" Unbelievable! What a racket!

I have had problems getting my dog groomed as I have done it myself since he was a puppy and so new people make him very skiddish. The groomer Nicole was amazing!!! She worked with my dog for 2 1/2 hours 😯 now thats dedication and going above and beyond for the customer. She is now my dogs permanent groomer and now me and pickle (my dog) are happy and his haircut was the cutest please please give that lady a raise!!!

My groomer Liz B Has been exceptional with my Pug Chompi!!! She understands what he needs and always gets him super clean and smelling fresh!! She also makes sure his wrinkles are clean and dry which as a pug owner is super important to me! Love her work!!! I 100% recommend her!

They got me in quickly. Treated my dog good. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was that they put her in a kennel until it was her turn. I've never put her in a kennel before so she put up a little fight. I felt really awful until it was time to pick her up (3-4 hours) because I felt like she thought I was abandoning her. She has separation issues because before I adopted her she was been adopted by someone else and returned and before that surrendered by her 1st owner. I understand the reason but I just didn't care for the kennel part. Next time I will talk to them and try to work out another option to the kennel, Other than that I LOVE Petco Groomer in Arvada, CO. I take my dog there for everything else, even the Thrive Vet on site there. Thank you to all the friendly staff at Petco.

The groomers did a wonderful job on my collie. He does not do well in crates and made a mess. They had to clean him again. They were so thoughtful and kind to him. All the staff we feigning over him and making a fuss of him.

Alyssa was amazing. She quickly walked us through the walk-in process for getting a nail trim, she asked questions about my dog, Anchor, and she listened about to my concerns about his hips. She trimmed his nails and even buffed them within minutes. I will 100% be coming back!

**UPDATE- Liz the manager redid her grooming. Thank you Liz!I took my dog there for her first grooming. I paid for the extra deshedding and grinding down of the nails Plus teeth and glands. most of her nails were barely clipped off of the ends and they were straight across and sharp. I was told that deshedding treatment should last six to eight weeks. She is very short-haired and is shedding a ton. If I can tell that these services weren't performed, it makes me wonder if the other ones were performed either.

The timing to get my dog in and out was great. The customer service was wonderful. Everyone I came in contact with acknowledged me and let me know someone would be with me shortly and they made sure the cut was what I wanted before I left the grooming salon.

I think her name was Izzy. Whoever groomed Sully on January 25th 2021 did an absolutely fantastic job. I am so happy with how it turned out. He smells so good and looks so handsome.
