I needed a dog sitter on short notice and Rebecca at mountain Pals came through! Rebecca kept me updated while I was away and sent lots of pictures and videos of my dog having a great time.

Rebecca has been watching our dogs for over seven years and I can't imagine leaving them with anyone else. They both have special dietary and medication needs. They aren't the most energetic dogs and she does a good job of balancing exercise with rest. The Mountain Pals service is 1000% times better than any boarding facility because she gives our dogs real outdoor exercise and one on one attention. Both of our dogs love visiting Rebeccas for both day visits and overnights.

As the pictures show, when your pet is with Rebecca, they have fun! I have a malamute who really needs to be exercised, so he would not do well in a traditional kennel setting. Rebecca and Mountain Pals ensures that the dogs get their adventure time in, which makes me feel better (and less guilty) when I leave my dog. The other thing that I love about Rebecca is that she treats all of her charges as if they are her own, so they get to experience so much more when away from home. Thank you Mountain Pals!

I loved not only how much my Rocky and Anna received such a good regiment of exercise but how they literally got to be part of a 'pack' while participating. Rebecca offers real Home care, the kind I give to them at home, it's like she is an extension to our family in their eyes! She offers an experience like no other. I have had both my pups at doggy day care programs and all have come extremely well recommended but none of them had my pups jumping for joy into the programs person like they do when we go to Mountain Pals, none of them have my dogs completely exhausted from so much fun, and none of them offer the experience to run as a pack!! Rebecca is an animal lover and it shows with the love she shares with all the animals in her presence and all the love she receives from them!! I can't wait to return!

Rebecca at Mountain Pals is the absolute best. I have been bringing my two kind of needy Bernese mountain dogs to her for the past several years. They used to be anxious about going to dog sitters but seem completely at home with Rebecca. She lets the dogs literally live with her as if it was their own home which you just can’t find anywhere else. She walks them off leash or on leash, if needed, several miles each day and lets them play in the snow and water. She takes photo updates for you along the way. She goes above and beyond! If you need a dog sitter do not hesitate to contact her!

Mountain Pals is the only place I ever want to leave my beloved mini schnauzer. Rebecca is completely attuned to the specific needs of my dog and her overprotective mother (me.) She accommodates us in every way, from helping with transportation to making sure my dog has everything she needs. Upon returning home from my trips, my schnauzie is always happy and healthy.I'm extremely selective about dog sitters. I trust Rebecca 100% with my dog's life. I have every confidence that she will always do what is best for the animals. I feel so lucky I discovered Mountain Pals!

I have had the pleasure of accompanying Rebecca and Mountain Pals on some of their pet sitting adventures, what a BLAST! The dogs love Rebecca and love being outdoors hiking in the mountains. Its amazing to see how happy the dogs are compared to being in a "typical" Kennel. Rebecca also has great qualifications and I highly recommend her and Mountain Pals!

For two years, Rebecca has provided full-time care to my poodle-schnauzer mix Coconut, who has congenital heart disease as well as a running-away problem. I am stationed overseas for six months at a time, and when I am gone, Coconut goes to stay with Rebecca. Both Coconut and I couldn't be happier. The drive to Mountain Pals is 2hrs away from my house, but Rebecca is worth every minute it takes to get my special dog up there. I found Mountain Pals and Rebecca as the result of an intensive search and grueling interview process for a professional dog sitter. Rebecca was, and continues to be, the only individual, besides myself, whom I would allow to watch my special-needs dog in a full-time capacity. When I adopted Coconut, I had to pledge in writing, to attend to her two special-needs issues, and do everything in my power to prevent her from running away and to properly manage her heart condition. Rebecca Cardennis is the only dog-sitter I was able to find in the state of Colorado who could commit to assuming this responsibility in my place; and she has fulfilled this commitment ten-fold. She successfully created and executed unique protocols to make Coconut's run-away tendency a non-issue, and has perfectly kept her safe and happy for two years. Concern over my dog's heart condition is nonexistent when she is under Mountain Pal's care, because Rebecca is professionally trained as a vet-tech. This leaves her matchless in her ability to instantly care for and actively address Coconut's medical risks. And if the above wasn't enough! Rebecca responds promptly whenever I reach out via email, text, or FB message, AND she consistently sends me pictures/updates of my happy little girl.Rebecca Cardennis and Mountain Pals Pet Sitting is an irreplaceable necessity in my household, and in the canine community of Colorado. I am beyond grateful that she cares for my dog. Please feel free to reach out with any questions/clarifications!

This August my elderly dog Isabelle presumably died under the care of Rebecca Cardennis and Mountain Pals Pet Sitting after becoming lost in the mountains. She was never seen again. When I interviewed her, Rebecca suggested she take my dog on "geriatric walks" (her term) after we discussed Isabelle's conditions (she was 13 years old, deaf, arthritic and had vestibular disease therefore she could not walk on uneven terrain and could only go for short walks). In addition, Rebecca advertises that she specializes in caring for geriatric dogs. I believed my dog would be safe and appropriately cared for under the care of a licensed, professional dog sitter. Much to my horror, Rebecca had taken Isabelle on a 4-mile hike into remote backcountry with 7 other dogs offleash and lost her. It was an unfamiliar area and full of coyotes. We never found Isabelle after intensive searching and believe she must have died up there on the mountain. I later discovered that Rebecca had been taking Isabelle on numerous backcountry hikes violating our agreement that she would take Isabelle on "geriatric walks". Rebecca has not taken any responsibility for losing my dog nor apologized to me. This has been a heartbreaking nightmare. Before hiring any pet sitter or dog walker be sure to ask questions in detail to understand the care your beloved pet is getting while you are away.

Wish I had enough money to fly my dogs back to her now that I moved. My Pals never loved anyone more or had more fun making friends and enjoying Colorado, more than I ever got to. Sometimes a random scratch from free ranging mountain sides, and a lot of sulking once I dragged them out of her truck to come home. I've gone on several hikes with her with 10 or so dogs and everyone listens so well and has such a fun time swimming, playing, bringing us prize antlers or elk legs. Then they go back to her place and nap all day like a bunch of college kids on a Sunday afternoon. I honestly can say that the years my dogs spent with her were the best years of their lives. Happy dogs go to Rebecca

Not a trip goes by that I am not incredibly thankful for Mountain Pals. My dogs are treated like family - playing and sleeping at her home. The photo updates that she sends me could be framed as professional prints. I am so grateful to come home to my well-exercised, tired dogs each trip, already dropped off at my home waiting for me (her in-home pick-up/drop-off service is a must). I wouldn't leave my dogs with anyone else!

My Newfies have been enjoying Mountain Pals Pet Sitting for three years. No other pet sitter provides daily walks in the mountains with other dogs, the free run of a house to sleep wherever they want, and the 24/7 experienced care of a real “dog person” who understands dogs. I don’t think of it as boarding my dogs, I think of it as sending them to camp. Best pet sitter I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t trust my beloved Newfs anywhere else.

Rebecca is absolutely amazing with our dog Ruby. When we leave Ruby with Rebecca, I don't worry one bit. I know that she is getting exercised, having a blast and in great hands. I also love the photos that Rebecca posts on Facebook. It is great to see my dog having so much fun while I am out of town.

Rebecca took care of our dog Molly while we were out of town. I didn’t doubt for a moment she would take great care of Molly. All the same, it was awesome seeing pictures of how much fun she had while she was there. Best place take care of your pup when you’re away, hands down 🐾

Rebecca is the only reason I can handle leaving my dog behind on trips. She really cares about and understands the animals she cares for. She helped raise our puppy to a mostly respectable, social dog!

We have used Mountain Pals Pet Sitting many times. We have a 13 lb little guy and 100 lb big guy - both are well cared for and spoiled. We were head over heels pleased to find this style of pet boarding. Rebecca Rocks!

Rebecca has come to my home to take care of my cat when I am away. She does a great job! I got a text from her one day saying that she threw a blanket in the washer for me after my cat, who was in heat, decided to mark her territory. That is what I call going the extra mile!

Would never take my beloved pets here as I’ve had an encounter with the “owner” on Facebook (Rebecca Cardennis) where she attacked me on a comment that did not deserve so nor involved her. I have screenshots of the conversation as proof too; although she deleted the thread almost immediately after her outburst (assuming damage control?)... sorry, social media is quick like that. Screenshotted in two seconds. Quite frankly, I deserve an apology. Cannot recommend anyone sending their babies to someone with this much rage and aggression. I am heavily involved in the outdoor community in denver and front range area and will certainly make sure my friends and affiliates never send her business — and we ALL have animals and are always needing pet sitters. Won’t be her. No thank you.

The only place I feel confident my athletic dog won't be caged and alone all night. I know she will get plenty of exercise and social time. She will be there again in April when we go on vacation!
