I dont shop here normally because they are a bit pricey. More so than petsmart. But when i cant find nice doggie clothing or harnesses they have a much better selection.We recently got this little frenchie and he's was the runt of litter. So he's to big for the (xxs) but he's to small forb(reg small). But i found something that would fit him.

Quick and friendly service. The store is clean and doesn't have the usual 'pet store' smell. It's a cute little Petco that we like buying our guppies from. We rarely ever have health issues with the fish. The staff here is always nice and they're always ready to help.

You can't take your carts outside anymore?? This is so dumb, I bought 160 lbs of cat litter and I'm supposed to carry it all out to my car one by one? The store is otherwise fine and employees have always been nice, but this is just dumb. I'm young and in shape, but what about older people wanting to buy a couple big bags of food or litter? Come on...

I regret that I didnt get the nice gentleman's name who helped me. He walked me over to where the items were that I was looking for and remained with me and answered the many questions I had about the different products available. He was great!Rather tall guy

Rude staff! Never coming back with my dogs there. Vanessa said my dog was too big and she charged me more because she could not make him get up. Yes he is a 85 pound labrador! Maybe you need to train yourself how to get the dogs attention to stand up and walk.She also complained about my other dog small pomeranian because she had to brush her hair more.. since she had a not behind the ear. Ok but why you complained about it. Isn't this your job!!!Lame!!! Find another job that makes you happy!

I always go there. Last time the clerk gave me a good tip on feeding my 19 year old Taffy Girl. She likes more liquids these days. So just add a tablespoon of H2O to the wet food it helps spread it out and you know they get the xtra water

Been here before and I’ve had to wait to get help but didn’t mind the wait. This time after being in the store for 20mins and after asking for help being ignored. Waiting another 20mins. Not going back anytime soon. Don’t shop here unless you have all the time in the world to waste.

I called today before coming into the store and I specifically asked the employee and descried clearly what I was looking for and the employee said yes we have it come in when I went in I was disappointed that they dont have what I need , I would recommend more training on how to not waste peoples time.

They sent me like 4 reminder texts for my dogs grooming appointment in which they didn't say anything about a 10min grace period. I called them 5 min before the appointment to try and let them know we were running late but no one answered the phones. I get there 15 min late and they said they wouldn't do the service for anyone 10min late. Which makes no sense when their grooming service supposedly takes 2-4 hrs. How are you too busy to answer the phone when you should have been servicing our appointment that we were late to? And then when my boyfriend walks back in after we leave and he said they were talking bad about me because i complained that they don't answer their phones. Real immature and unprofessional. Had they answered the phone, i wouldn't have wasted my time getting my dog in the car. Dont go here if you are expecting good customer service. Or any service at that.Update: thanks for the meaningless generic response you give every bad review, petco.

Amazing customer service! I found treats and the proper food for both of my furbabies. Everyone was very friendly and helped me find what I needed. I also received help out to my car from associate Daniel. I definitely will be back to shop!

Well kept store nice and clean easy to find products. Only complaint; Would be nice if they didn’t switch up the food aisles. Makes it kinda difficult to relocate the food normally purchased.

West Sac store banded my daughter 3lb Yorkie from getting groomed cause one of their groomers cut his chest so he bit at her hand and now the refuse to groom him again. Very unprofessional I will remove all our dogs from this location and take them to Petsmart.

If I could give a worse rating I would. The store might be fine but their veterinarian services are not. Not only did they make my cat wait an hour in a crate. They refused to give her the services requested. They were rude and uncaring once they decided they were not going to give the shot. Don’t go here. Waste of time and money.

"Pick-up" buyers BEWARE. The Petco website will say they have an item in-stock and available for pick-up, cancel the item from your order, and if you go into the store to buy an alternate, they will charge you full price for items listed as "on sale" on the website. You need find the item on their website, show it to the person working at the register, and ASK for the price match. They tried to change me 40$ for a bed priced at 23$ online. Please be aware of this practice at Petco so you do not get overcharged!

Very low amount of staff, but no sign that says they are hiring? They clearly need more staff, espically this location can get busy at times. With the lack of staff service is slow and it also affects the animal's health. In the aquatic ceneter mutiple of tanks had dead fish. The poor bettas had very dirty and cloudy water. I saw a black dead clown fish it looked like he was dead for a while meaning nobody is taking care of them as they should. They were only three employees on the floor, the blondeish girl was very sweet and was very helpful. While one named Paul and a black hair girl was standing and just talking to each other. Went up to them and ask for some assistance and Paul gave me a very rude response Im busy about to do something. The crazy thing he claimed to so busy buy still was chatting with the black hair hair girl coworker and laughing for the entire time I was in the store. Very sad that employees rather chat then help constumers. But blondeish girl with yellow beanie so nice I pity for her not even her own co workers can help her. This petco needs to hire more nice people.

Love me some Petco! The staff are always funny and awkward at the same time! I like the amount of product but they don't have a large selection of small or large dog harness/collars or leashes/leads. Need spiked collars for minidogs and big dogs alike. Lol. The ladies that work at my local Petco are super cute but a lil awkward when stuck with small talk, just a heads up, we all don't need to be so P.C. and everything doesn't have to be about pets!! Lol jk

I continued to give this location my loyalty as a customer however within this past year I am always getting rescheduled or canceled. I have shown up and they have canceled day of. I never complained and always accommodate to what is going on. I have had to try to get in at other locations last minute and it does not always work out because of this. Today I was going to be late due to traffic I tried to call no answer from the store. I was about 9-10mins late and Vanessa canceled on me once again. Not to mention when I do come I’m waiting for them 15mins to even acknowledge I’m there for my appointment. No where in the Petco or web does it list that you have a grace period that you can not exceed. Vanessa said she could reschedule once again to a day that does not work. Desirai offered to do one of my dogs but not the other. After I said I was going to complain because they always cancel never answered the phone and we’re choosing not be understanding and have a common courtesy she told the other groomer Vanessa she would not be doing my small dog either. Horrible horrible customer service. Vanessa pointed out that she was wasting time for 20mins because we speaking to the manager Jacob. I took time off work to make this appointment. I appreciate Jacob but will not be returning for both of my dog’s vaccines or grooming.

Their curbside pickup process is so easy! I had very low expectations based on experiences at other stores/restaurants, but this place got it right. The parking spots for pickup were easy to find, instructions were clearly posted in front of the store so I didn't need to get out of the car, the store picked up the call right away, they immediately understood what I wanted, and someone came out with my stuff like they said they would. A very friendly employee brought out a big bag of dog food and other stuff I bought. Impressive.

First off, the older gentleman putting away stock was totally helpful and professional. I went straight to the point and I got exactly what I needed with his quick product explanation. Then ringing me up was a super happy lady with curly/wavy hair. I believe her name was Pascale? Awesome customer service radiated from her as she quickly rang me up. I signed up for the rewards and imma definitely keep coming back- as long as your staff keeps up the great attitudes.

I dropped my 14 yr old yorkie off at 9am for a 9:30 appointment. Desarai the groomer said it would be about 3-3.5 hours but she’d “try” to maybe be done earlier since he’s so small. But she did say she had two larger dogs ahead of him. Okay fine. At 1:00pm I went in to check on him. All that was done was a bath! It would MAYBE another half hour. Long story short, I left, with my dog with nothing done but a bath.I’ll never go to them or refer them to anyone.
