I adopted my cat here back in 2018 and this place has always taken such good care of her. If you want to adopt a cat I highly recommend doing so here. I love my cat more than anything in the world and I’m so grateful to have been able to adopt her from here. Knowing that one of the vets actually took care of her and litter trained her prior to me adopting her makes me feel really good about bringing her here for her wellness exams. When my cat is scared to go to the vet it makes me feel so much better knowing I’m leaving her with people I can trust. People who really care about my pet being healthy. This is the first pet I’ve ever owned so to be completely honest I’m not sure if the prices here are above average but the paw plan they offer has always made taking care of my cat affordable and stress free. I think they even have different kinds of paw plans that they offer too that help fit your budget. Any time I have concerns about my cat the staff has always been very helpful. I do wish their app was a bit more effective as I’ve tried to request an update for my personal information a few times but it doesn’t seem to ever get updated. That’s not really a big deal though cause I can just call for anything I might need and a real person will speak to me and help me out. It would be helpful if maybe they could stay open a bit later on Saturdays since that’s when I don’t have work but I can always just try to book in advance and plan better. Overall I think this is a great place to bring your pet and I would highly recommend getting a paw plan to make planning your pet expenses easier.

I love this Vet. They take such a personal interest, are so well organized, and always seem to have the best interest of the pet and the owners in mind as they make the recommendations. They’re not the cheapest in town, but they never seem to push for more services to be rendered unless there is a very concrete reason for it. You get what you pay for and these guys provide a premium service with a great ethic.

In the realm of veterinary care, where compassion and dedication are paramount, the decline of this once-soulful clinic to a state of utter neglect is disheartening. While recognizing the potential factors such as overwhelming caseloads, inadequate compensation for veterinarians, or rampant burnout, it remains imperative to address the consequences: a glaring absence of timely and attentive care for cherished animal companions.Despite the investment of both trust and financial resources, clients find themselves relegated to mere entries on a list, their concerns often languishing for days without acknowledgment or resolution. Even with enrollment in the purportedly comprehensive Paws Plan health program, clients are met with frustrating delays and scant communication, amplifying the distress of navigating their pet's health journey.Regrettably, the clinic's approach to diagnostics and treatment appears to prioritize financial gain over holistic care. Patients undergo costly procedures without adequate follow-up or continuity of care, leaving owners stranded in moments of critical need, relegated to seeking emergency services elsewhere without guidance or support. My erosion of trust in this veterinary establishment stems not only from clinical missteps but also from the failure to uphold the fundamental tenets of professionalism and accountability. Whether stemming from disillusioned practitioners or the constraints imposed by corporate oversight, the inability to fulfill even basic expectations, such as returning phone calls, signals a profound disconnection from the essence of veterinary medicine. In conclusion, while acknowledging the complexities inherent in the veterinary profession, the decline of this clinic represents a disheartening departure from the noble commitment to animal welfare. Urgent introspection and remedial action are warranted to restore faith in the integrity and efficacy of veterinary care, ensuring that both animals and their devoted caretakers receive the standard of excellence they rightfully deserve. If you are a veterinarian and work for a clinic that requires a caseload that prevents you from performing in a responsible manner or just plain lost heart, own it.

My longtime vet recently retired and referred me to West Hills Animal Hospital. I’ve now taken both of my dogs here several times and am so pleased with the friendly and professional service each visit! Would highly recommend them!

Very unhappy with the charges, and even a charge for my cat’s nail trim. The prices from two yrs ago to now, were shocking. I won’t return; I can’t afford it, nor like to be taken advantage of, or feel abused. It’s caused me to decline services and much anxiety about this vet clinic and others. The fees are just not right!

Had an emergency with my dog. Called the office and was told to bring him in and the doctor would see him between surgeries and within the hour got a callback that he was ready to be picked up. The office staff and doctors are very nice. No problems at all!!

The facility is so clean, it doesn't even smell like a veterinarian office! The staff is lovely. They are friendly, helpful, and caring. I wish i could give them 5 stars, however the quote for my male cat neuter came back at $848. Even if it had come back at $300 or so I would have just dealt with it. If you're looking for a vet office that is sparkling clean, with a friendly and accommodating staff, then absolutely go here. The regular vet visit for my 2 new kittens was steep, but not insurmountable, after I declined a couple tests. They do offer an in- house vet care plan that may be attractive to some. I am declining it because I'll be seeking a mobile service in the near future.

The reception and waiting area is small, crowded and often noisy (due to people, not animals). Nevertheless, the office staff, technicians and Dr Lawson provide excellent care for your pets.

We had a great first time visit having just moved to West Hills! All three of our cats had their annual wellness exams, vaccinations, and bloodwork during the visit. The dr and staff were really friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough when talking through their history. We were very impressed that on top of that, when it came time to do the bloodwork and vaccinations, we did not need to wait very long at all. They seem very well organized and checking out was fast as well. We are very happy with West Hills Animal Hospital!

Update: My baby will be 3 next month and we’ve always received the best care, with the kindest staff. I love that I can schedule his well visits online, and I’ve never had a problem getting him in quickly for a sick visit. I’ve had him on their paw plan from the beginning and with his allergies, I always get my moneys worth for the year.I’ve brought my puppy here since we got him and I am beyond pleased with every experience during well and sick visits. The staff has always been kind and professional.

Great people working at West Hills Animal Hospital. To be 100% honest it is mind blowing just how EXPENSIVE it was!!!!!! My dog will be 14 at the end of this month. He has an abscess tooth and needs several teeth pulled.Below is the bill for the office visit only.Surgery is estimated between $2,400 - $4,900.Absolutely insane how much it costs for our animals. I understand it’s a business. I really hope one day we could do something that would change the way billing is for our pets.In the future, I will definitely buy pet insurance.

Was given sedative for dog to take before visits, she became unresponsive and I thought she was dead for a moment, called vet they said take her to emergency, emergency said it take her to ur vet, they charged me over $766. For an annual ck up w blood work BECAUSE of sedative. I won’t be going back.have to find new vet, get understand blood work but $200 was directly related to fluid for treat over medication!!!! Ridiculous, I’m sorry to leave this place, my last dog went there

The vet here was very knowledgeable and informative . She was able to dispel lots of ongoing myths in the dog world that we have been misinformed previously. I love how she also gave the information in a very factual , non judgemental, but still open minded manner.I liked how they offered a puppy plan that includes spay and neutering along with other basic first-year needs.

My cat was acting weird, and I was trying to find a vet that could see him without having to wait too long. West Hills Animal Hospital was able to get us in within a few days which was fair, and the staff were super kind and efficient. I really liked that they told me that should the situation change or became more immediately concerning that I could contact them and see if they could do anything. While they may not have been able to see me the fact that they at least gave me an option and a chance to do so was so reassuring. I got bad news for my baby, but the vet was very kind and knowledgeable. She also offered reasonable advice and recommendations and didn't push me to do unnecessary and expensive treatments that weren't completely necessary. Overall, I liked them and definitely will go back and recommend them to others. The prices can be expensive, but the important items were fair and not overpriced. (X-ray, Ultrasound, blood work etc.).

I am always so very pleased by the loving care provided at West Hills Animal Hospital. My regular vet is Dr. Hengst. I have no problem seeing any of the vets on staff if Dr. Hengst is not available. I believe they are all so very qualified and caring.I had this experience on 06/08/23. I had a problem and needed to have my dog seen asap. Dr. Lawson although booked made arrangement to see and treat my dog in between her other appointments. The staff is wonderful and follows up on everything. I would highly recommend West Hills Animal Hospital. My many thanks to all.

The entire staff at West Hills Animal Hospital is great! I especially like the two veterinarians I have dealt with. Dr. Hankst and Dr. Tyler are both wonderful and give much of their time with you and your fur babies. I'm also so happy that the front desk actually answers the phone!

Dr. Hawkins is very helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone in the entire office were great and welcoming. They answered all my questions no matter how silly it was. They have a great in-house wellness service plan for every stage of your pets life. It’s similar to having insurance for your pets needs. I’ll go back again. The location is convenient and the office hours are also great. Prices are comparable to other vets as well.

I brought my dog in yesterday with a number of issues and the staff was beyond kind. He had a mass that needed to be removed due to bleeding. The vet that treated him was so loving and caring and really took her time to assess my dog. He went in for surgery and came out a happy boy. The paperwork was easy to understand and his vet walked me through everything. I was also called this morning as a follow up to his treatment yesterday to see how he was doing. It was a great experience during a really stressful time. Highly recommend this office.

Had a good experience. With it being my first puppy, I wish they would have explained they take our dog away and then you meet the vet afterwards so you don’t get to see the checkup or weighing of the dog. It was pricey but I imagine that is the price of a vet. It was very clean and everyone was welcoming and helpful. The vet herself was very nice and explained everything. She even took the time to help me pick out a good insurance for the pup and gave me some recommendations of what her clients use- very helpful. I will keep going here for my pup

Excellent vet with not only expertise but a willingness to listen and discuss options for my German Shepherd Husky before rushing into treatment. Outlined options and cost which I really appreciated. The staff were wonderful and took the time to talk to me over the phone before I came in for a consultation for my dog.

The staff is caring and welcomingThe technicians are affectionate ( everyone is ) which makes the pets feel good and confortable. The doctors are knowledgeable and communicative, plus all treatments applied( surgeries, vaccines, decal testing ) have been effective and speedy recovery, they always explain the process, follow up, and make sure to provide you extra care. I have only had positive experiences.

I took my dog here for a couple things and when the the woman Melissa came out to ask me what was going on she made me feel as if I was a bad dog owner. Once I told her my dog was on grain free food she rolled her eyes because i was misinformed in the past and was told grain free is good for dogs. Then they took my dog in the back for an exam and the dr then brought me in the room and she was even worse she made me feel as if I was asking too many questions and made me feel that everything I was doing was wrong. I love my dog more than anything on this earth and I will do what I need to to keep her healthy! They quoted me 1400$ for urine sample a culture for a little bump on her stomach.

We've been coming here for about 3 1/2 years, and have been very happy with the care and kindness of the doctors and the staff. Last week our dog got really sick suddenly and it was quite scary. They took such good care of him and really nursed him back to health. It was a rough week for us, but it was helpful knowing they were doing everything necessary yet, NOT over prescribing. We are very grateful for ALL the West Hills Animal Hospital team. Thank you for taking such good care of Charlie.
