SEE EDIT BELOW:Sad this store is really needed in this poor community but badly run: much of the inventory is in boxes in racks clogging up the aisle leaving lots of empty space on the shelves. Many of the employees I see just do not seem to care. When you shop here plan to wait in long slow moving lines. There is a Grocery Outlet close by I recommend you check them out first. I;ll be back I have little choice living in Weed.I went back a few days later and the store was all orderly, most of the the racks of merchandise were put on the shelves and I could easily navigate the store. Good job.

So much more merchandise that I expected. They have everything you can think of. I was kind of amazed. Bathroom rugs, coloring books, razors, candles, clothes, hamburger, chicken, soda 12 packs, office supplies, even as seen on t.v. section. I mean...they have shoes & clothes for men, women & children, household cleaning supplies, home decor, things to do, to eat & to entertain. Job well done in Weed California folks.

Good selection, but I've run into problems of items that were supposed to be on clearance not ringing up properly. Also, no one ever asked if I needed help finding anything and I did. Petty, maybe, annoying nonetheless.

Been waiting 2 full weeks for a final check, after having to deal with a very rude, and aggressive manager, who has no problems mentioning she wants to hit her employee, and yell at the top of her lung for asking why your cash pay out was so small. District manager has done nothing about this so far, besides tell me he "doesn't appreciate me assuming he's doing nothing"Contacted cooperate and the state Labor Commisioner, really don't understand why its such a big deal to pay me for the 1 week of work. If a supervisor or member from cooperate see this review, please reply to it or email me.

Nice store Rachel was beyond helpful. My 1st visit wasn't so nice ,but Rachel totally redeemed my experience and will go back because she is. A very nice, helpful manager

This is a pretty neat store one can find just about anything yoube looking for or just come across unsuspectantly like shear's and trimmers only for a few dollars. The metal of these tools constructed in a durable.fashion . Of course you get what is paid for it but you could be suprised on the lasting quality

Whoever is supposed to be checking the dates on the milk isn't. I accidentally bought milk today that was expired 7 days ago. Gross. This is the second time this happened at this store.

Nicest cashier I've had at a DG in quite awhile. It's refreshing to be in a small town and receive the type of service that small town America was built on. Friendly, Courteous, Efficient....thanks DG team for doing it right

They're prices are reasonable, and they have quite a variety of different things. Anywhere from car coolant, to candy, to coffee makers. And my personal favorite, cheap yet tasty bottles of wine.

I've always lived near a Walmart, until the last couple of years, so that's where I would shop. Having a Dollar General very close now and not a Walmart, I've started shopping there more frequently and I must say I've been pleasantly surprised and pleased.

What could you say about a place called Dollar General? A lot. It was dirty and unkempt. Their was a fight in the front area, while I was there, so that was a real experience. The aisles needed merchandising and there was no floor staff anywhere. The part of my visit were the cashiers, very friendly.

This store is extremely clean, well laid out, and the management is engaged and actually cares about the fact they're one of the only resources of this sort between Redding and nearly the Oregon state line.

It's a pretty small store with a limited amount of merchandise. The store is pretty much always messy and disorganized, it's not a store I'd want to continuously shop at. They could pic it up a notch.

Hmm....hate the Dollar store chains. They mean 2 things, a towns economy has tanked or there is nothing else so they come along like a Walmart and provide all stuff and force local biz to close down.

There a new store in Yreka but they do have the cheapest diapers and they have size 7 which is hard to find.
