Without fail, everytime I visit this location, there is an employee Adam who is extremely rude, and has his headphones in while dealing with customers. I find it very disrespectful. Not to mention a starving underweight ball python with stuck shed. Very sad.

This is probably one of the flagship locations, with a new layout and plenty of things you need for your critters. I'll probably pick up my next reptile here...a few lizards, some turtles, snakes, birds, and all kinds of pet food, processed and live. Staff is amazing awesome helpful!

Quick and easy shopping. However some of the shelves seemed bare and their fish system was not great. This seems to be a problem with all petcos - I’d assume it’s a corporate decision to not allocate more payroll hours. Hopefully that’s remedied.

My dog has been to the groomer here many times. The groomer is loving, she took an exceptionally nervous dog and was kind and soothing and experienced and has always gotten the work done. The dog adores and trusts her. She attends to hygiene, she asks health questions, she gives pertinent advice, she is clearly expert, and she does an absolutely beautiful job after asking me each time what I want for the dog. However, not for the first time, I drove a distance to get there for the dog’s scheduled appointment to find that she had not come in that day and had not called the store, so I was not warned. It is stressful for the dog and of course an unacceptable inconvenience to me. There was no manager. I respect this woman’s expertise and sweetness or I would not go out of my way to get there but, sadly, I guess I will have to take my dog elsewhere. Maybe consistent store leadership would help to remedy this.

Great place to bring your dog to shop for treats and dog-related items. On the weekends, Petco offers by appointment (due to COVID-19) cat and dog vaccinations (including rabies) at reasonable prices compared to visiting a veterinarian through Vetco. You also by flea and heart worm medicine at a discount.

I went to this location thinking that it is in a good town.. that they have better animals and food and yes, very true.. but the racist and discriminatory service of your employee Michelle in the animal department is the worst. I never thought that there were still people With so much hate for a Hispanic being Hispanic. I hope they improve their customer service. Being a company with such prestige... date of the incident 08/16/2023 at 2:55 pm.

Nick was very helpful with my new fish, couldn't find a place anywhere near me in Livermore that actually had saltwater fish. Needed some cleaner-bottom feader fish in my tank and found what I was looking for! Other co-workers were great too but I can't remember their names

Kiana always grooms my pup Princess. Highly recommend her!We used to take Princess to PetSmart where they always knicked her moles and came back bleeding. Kiana always makes sure to be careful and avoid them, plus she comes out looking 10x better!

I shopped here recently for treats and a card for a dog's birthday party I was to attend. The employee was very helpful and suggested a variety of good birthday party treats. And while Petco did not have a birthday card, the employee directed me to a nearby shop that does carry them. Recommended.

Came here to get a Welcome home packet so I can save money on my new puppy.Unfortunately the food brand wasn't in the booklet for a discount but because it was a old bag the cashier still gave me the discount saving me a lot of money. He didn't have to do that but he was extremely helpful. the store has everything. And I couldn't be more satified. Thank you petco and your employees.

I attempted to get an appointment for my dog, Duke, to have a bath and nail trim. I was told to leave my name and phone number and the groomer would call me later that day. I never received a call and am still waiting. I will check back later this week.

Like this store, they have the prebiotic and dog food (without bugs, yeah different store did) and they always seem to have decent stock. Location is convenient as a grocery store is next door making two trips to one.

I went to this Petco today to pick up some stuff for a new fish tank. We went to look at the fish and was absolutely appalled to find multiple tanks with dead fish. One tank literally had two clusters of at least 12 dead fish with live fish swimming around them. Other tanks had a fish or two floating at the top. I didn’t want to take pictures because it was just disgusting to see and total mistreatment of their fish. I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue or not proper training on fish care, but figure it out Petco!

I have a 9 month old that has been terrified of any grooming. I've been bringing her to this location as I've felt comfortable with the team. Today we met Shannon who trimmed and buffed my girl's nails. Shannon was AMAZING. She could tell Roxie was uneasy, and spent time prior to taking her back which also helped this fur mama feel comfortable. Shannon, thank you for the time you spent today as well as the great job you did! It only took Shannon about 10 minutes, which has taken longer prior due to Roxie being so scared. I was shocked when Shannon came to find me in the store so quickly, and Roxie was one happy pup like nothing had just happened. Shannon will be my go-to from now on!

Rhiannon & staff are very friendly. She took the time to listen to my pet's concerns about anxiety issues and recommended puppy training & natural remedy to help with my dog's mental health. Honestly, this is excellent customer service and she deserves praise & recognition for promoting Petco's products & services. =)

We just can,t express enough of our gratitude for the amazing, awesome and supportive staff at the Orchards Petco. Amanda, Riann, AJ, Adam and all involved for taking the time, patience and to find the right bearded dragon companion for my granddaughter. She was visiting the store for months waiting for the moment she able to take home and care properly for a reptile. She learned about their care from the very patient and knowledgable staff at this location. She was allowed to hold the bearded dragons until she felt she was comfortable to take care of one. Even though her first try at home didn't quite work out, this staff at Petco was so committed and dedicated to finding her a perfect fit. Amanda we can,t thank you enough for all the time and effort you took to see that her next forever friend would be a perfect fit. Today she took home Amber her forever bearded dragon friend. Amanda and staff we truly appreciate everything you,ve done to help make a little girl's dream come true. Thank you so much with all of our hearts. You are so knowledgeable and excelled in making one of your youngest customers one happy little girl .

You have the product I need (unlike 2 nearby stores) Further, I love how you help owners rehome their pets they can no longer take care of. I have gotten a pair of guinea pigs in the past. Your staff is friendly and helpful. Your grooming center has a good reputation.

Petco was easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Easy wheelchair access. The store was clean and organized. The staff was helpful, kind and following mask mandates. Everything you need for your pet is here. Thank you Petco for supplying our extended furry family with everything they need.

I don't usually go to petco but I had a gift card so I went looking for a cat cage. I looked and could not find what I was looking for. I looked around for an associate (there seemed to be a fully staffed shift) but I had to awkwardly interupt personal stories between the two employees. The employee showed me where the cage were. I had surgery less than two weeks ago and have a wrapped hand, I couldn't check the size of the crate without lifting 6 or so crates and seeing them down to the ground. I was hoping for help, I'm an not supposed to be lifting any weight at all, but I didn't really get any.

Normally this location is great but the cashier Savannah is lazy and rude so she can spend more time on her phone behind the register. She refused to split our bill onto separate cards, insisting the system "doesn't let her" (first time I've ever heard that excuse in two years of shopping here regularly with my spouse). She also didn't even offer us bags or help with scanning heavy items.
