I absolutely love this vet! We had just found out that our fur baby has Lymphoma, and the staff has been so sweet and helpful. And the vetarnarian has the best bedside manners. He is so soothing and calming that he literally made both my daughter and I feel much better especially because you can just tell that he truly cares. I highly recommend this vet!

Horrible service! I called to set an appointment for my dog's shots at the beginning of December and they only had availability until today which was January 29th at 2:30 pm. I showed up and nobody would answer the phone or even open the door. I waited almost two months for this appointment just to not get seen.

There is nothing like going back into a well air conditioned office when it’s over 100 outside! What a relief. That being said the front office staff work hard to keep the pets and owners moving through the office in a efficient manner. The prices are very reasonable and the services a professionally delivered. I have been to this vet a few times and have not been let down. Good job HVS!

We adopted a German shepherd (brought in as a stray) from the Apple Valley shelter, and they sent her here for spaying the day following adoption.We have had dogs all our lives and did pet rescue and adoption for over 12 years with two different non profits as well as on our own, so we're not novices when it comes to animals.The spay Gretchen received here was the best l've ever seen in my life. Her incision site looks like a scar rather than a surgical site and I've seen a lot of spays and neuters.Although I did bring home a cone, Gretchen was so stressed when I put it on and she was enduring so many changes in her life that I opted to supervise her over night so she wouldn't open her incision by incessant licking.Now 5 days later, she's never had to wear the cone and she doesn't even act like she had surgery. The only way you'd know is to see her shaved belly.We only had to give her pain meds for a day and a half because she was acting totally normal.

My dog had to have 3 surgeries because of being spayed. Thats 2 to many. But they are honest and admitted it was their fault and didn't charge any extra. The vet is an excellent animal doctor and friendly.

From the moment I walked in, to check in with 6 Cocker Spaniel puppies for health check, everyone was Profesional, helpful, kind and attentive to myself and puppies. Thank you everyone from front office to back office and Dr. You will have a few patient's for life. ❤ 🐾

The doctor was somewhat informative however I think they should tell you over the phone when you make your appointment how much it is to see the doctor. Everyone else does so I wasn't expecting to spend so much when I spent way less at another doctor last week. I would say it's my fault for not asking but I called several doctor's last week and they all told me their prices before I made the appointment.

I've been trying to call this animal hospital after taking my kitten and dog in for vaccinations. They took my money and said I had paid up front and to come back for booster. I've tried calling several times and can't even get through to make an appt. to go back. Their mail box is always FULL and no way to even contact them via email. Wow, how sad that they can get away with such poor client services. Maybe they need to hire more or better office staff??. I would not recommend them and if it weren't for them still owing me money, I'd have written this place off.

Im extremely pleased with the place, girls was very nice, professional and fast, place is well organized and just all around good. Little advice, when you using pledge, donations etc let the stuff know in morning when you drop off so its smoother when you pick up your pet.

First time coming to this vet, and I absolutely love it . They took very good care of Big Blueberry he had cherry eye surgery today and it looks great and hes home and resting well. Thank you everyone for taking care of my baby. I am bringing all my doggies here from now on :)

Sadly after reading some of these post I would not of even wasted my time calling this office I want this office to be aware that your front office staff is the rudest that I’ve had to deal with! And I will take my business elsewhere due to this !! How sad !! Maybe get someone that enjoys there job !! The woman I spoke to is Breanne !! Hope u decide to be nicer to customers

ADA. Tried Calling, but their phone indicated that during their clinic hours they don't respond. Can't drive due to medical episodes. Get here and they have a sign they are not doing their clinic. I have a very limited income and now it's just a waste of whatever limited sources I have. If it was gonna be cancelled or if they were moving, I'd hope they would have at least of updated their voicemail. Sad

We've brought three of our dogs here for spays and not a single complaint. Staff is great and really do show compassion to the animals. Even help with obtaining vouchers for services provided at location.

Always honor our appointments and provide prompt service. They charged us less than the initial quoted price, didn't try to over charge us. Even saw our pet for an emergency without an appointment to cut out a sharp piece of debris, no charge.

I am angry. Angry and upset. Especially since I had such a great experience with this specific vet last year when I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my cat to sleep and the staff at the time were very comforting and empathetic. This time was a completely different experience. I had my cat for 18 years, and she was very ill. It was time to let her go and I wanted be there with her, especially since she is very skittish and anxious. The woman on the phone when I called was hurried and rude. I was told that euthanasia is $75. However, if I wanted to be with her during sedation, it would be an additional $75. What?! So they now charge grieving pet parents $75 just to be in the room with their dying pet? That is insane. She said it's because they have to insert a catheter. So what does that have to do with me? They wouldn't use an IV catheter if I weren't there? How else would it be done? Yes, it was my choice to still use this vet. I should have called around to other vets to check their prices and to see if I could be in the room. That was definitely my mistake and I will not make it again. This vet should be ashamed of taking advantage of people in their lowest moments.

DEATH OF A PET FOLLOWING SERVICESNow that I know it was the office manager who so rudely argued with me on the phone about if I could afford the services or not. Since she asked for a more accurate account of what happened.An accurate account:I went in to get my kitties spayed/neutered and had called as many veterinary practices to find space for our kitties at an affordable price. Which this service claimed to provide I had also gathered up pledges for my cats, from Actors and Others and Pet partners. Unfortunately on the day of surgery when I was to pay she had told me the amount was going to be way higher than expected. When I asked what happened to my pledges it came to the point where my pledge had not been put into their system or sent from the pet partners. She also added on extra costs I was not made aware of to be prepared for when I had scheduled the appointment, being very clear I am on a budget, my mother who came with me also got the third degree from this worker. It was even to the point that they crossed out my last name on papers that I FILLED OUT MYSELF and spelt it their way. With no respect or care to their client.As a new pet owner I did not know what else I was supposed to do, I asked for pet partners number and she gave me a printed sheet.As I called the number for pet partners it said disconnected. I tried the one on the website that I had originally called and it also said call cannot go through.At this point I call Office Manager and ask if she had a different phone number. She stated that she only had a direct line to the program director that she could not give out.I said okay...well is there anyway you could HELP and ask her to contact me?After arguing with a grown adult woman, I got fed up and just asked her to please help. Which she did with hesitation.The Pet Partners lady was even amazed at the treatment I had received when I told her what happened. As an office manager to a service where people take pets they love I would say this was out of line and inappropriate.I recommend Bear Valley Animal Hospital where the doctors took time to explain take home procedures and what happens if they aren't doing well. Front desk staff was amazing and helped with every concern and question I had. No surprise costs or add one to try and squeeze the money out of me. The kittens they fixed are doing incredibly well and healthy.Original Post.Took two kitties to get spayed/neutered at this vet and was the worst experience. The receptionist was rude and argumentative. The price I was given over the phone was not the cost once we got to the vet after they tried to upsell random things. This prompted the staff to be rude about what I needed to pay for and if I had enough money. I had some pledges and donations to help with the kittens but the receptionist said I didn't have one. So I basked for the phone number to let partners as I had lost it and none of the ones she gave me worked.As a single mom trying to help two kittens this made it all extremely frustrating. About a week after surgery, wounds healed well, our first kitty passed away. This vet is known for having parvo outbreaks and unsanitary conditions. After finding out she had Parvo we now had to worry about our other kitten. He is sick but doing better and hopefully pulls through. This has been the worst experience and my baby Tigerlilly is sadly in heaven now.

They did the work done, unfortunately I'm not too happy with the customer service. There is two girls and the one who is the cashier I guess (big blonde), besides her bad attitude she Never included the vouchers on the total price even after many calls to confirm that the vouchers went through and once I was there I also wrote it down on the paper they made me fill out with the names of the associations that gave me the vouchers she STILL tried to charge the whole amount so once AGAIN (I've been there with 2 cats 2 dogs different appointment) I had to ask if she included the vouchers and she gets mad because "NOBODY TOLD HER" Lol ... Anyways, if you have vouchers keep in mind that you'll have to wait 30 extra minutes until she finds what supposed to be ready once you pick up your pet.

We picked up a kitty and puppy from this vet. The prices were reasonable. They offered purchase of both meds and cones for both pets. The staff is nice and efficient.

Have been taking my furbabies here for YEARS. The facility is always clean, staff is always friendly, efficient and compassionate. Their cost is fair for the services provided. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet!

Front desk receptionists have attitudes, even talking on the phone with them. Office charges a lot just for a visit and a re check up, x ray prices are expensive if you are on a tight budget, I am sure surgery prices are worse. I didnt appreciate my experience being there, because I felt rushed when I was trying to find out what is wrong with my dog.

Terrible customer service, was put on hold for 40 minutes and when they picked up they hung up on me. Tried to call back but of course they aren’t answering. They never do, I thought it was miracle they even answered me once at all.

I would like to thank the staff for all their kindness. I have a disabled dog and they were so kind to come out to my vehicle to give her her shots. They are friendly and were a God send. Knowledgeable staff members and you are greeted with a smile.

They need to improve the customer service I came twice because I have two dogs, at the first visit the doctor was rude and zero empathic, I decided to bring my other dog thinking that maybe this time could be different, and yes was WORST!!! Definitely I'm not coming back

So grateful that after moving to the High Desert we found a good vet office to take care of all our fur babies and the foster babies. Dr. Velasco is a very good surgeon. He did eye surgery on one of our dogs and you cannot even tell anything had been done, even though a growth was removed. Throw in all the very nice ladies in the front and the vet techs and going to the vet could almost be fun...

My family adopted a new cat from the shelter. Part of adopting the cat, they recommended that I have a vet check him out and they recommend this Vet. My experience was not pleasant. I left feeling frustrated. The staff was blasting rock music in the back and sounded like they were playing drums. we waited 1.5 hours after my appointment time and the doctor was just hangin out in the back. The actual visit was 5 minutes. Imagine the anxiety my cat was feeling being there. It’s unfortunate that they’re behavior was so unprofessional and it’s seems that the office likes to party and not take care of their clients.
